newmember i gave in and tested too, but were way too early. I was not even meant to test till next weekend, still will test next weekend. mine was neg too. I was just curious. What test did you use? I knew mine would not show just yet, dont give up as i said if you just used the normal test then it will prob not show for at least four days anyway. When did you ovulate? I ov last sat i think, so i would only be 9dpo, thats pretty unheard of to get a HTP which i knew. Dont give up were in this together girl!

LoobyLou82 · 06/07/2009 20:07

rainbowdays are you sure it was not just implantation bleeding? Have you tested?

NewMember · 06/07/2009 20:09

Hi Looby

Yea I have def tested 2 early - I have cramp like feelings tho! I am prob about 7/8 dpo - early I know! lol

I used the clearblue digital - what about you?

LoobyLou82 · 06/07/2009 20:39

newmember mine was tesco own brand. I just spent about half an hour trawling the net about tests. I had ordered the first response tests off ebay, but the consensus is that they give false positives most of the time. I think i will use them later this week and then back it up with another maybe clearblue to double check if it is positive. I do worry about testing early tho as i have had a miscarriage before and i know that chemical pregnancies are fairly common so would not want to test get a positive then have my period start due to it only being a chemical pregnancy(i was training to be an antenatal teacher so i know a lot about these things
I may just still hold off until next weekend and go get a clearblue one, a brand i can trust, i used it with both my boys and they were very accurate and trustworthy.

NewMember · 06/07/2009 20:45

Yea i know what u mean - I had a chemical pregnancy in Jan - although sometimes wonder if it could have been a false positive! The nurse does not think so tho ...

hmmmm!

Shopna · 06/07/2009 21:33

Congrats to everyone who had a BFP since I've been on here last. Unfortunately I've missed the March 2010 bus. AF arrived 23/06/09 - have been too depressed to come on here and update. Thank you all for keeping me on the list during my absence.
I've taken myself off and think I might go catch the April 2010 bus. Good luck everyone. xx Sincerely hoping I DON'T see any of you on the April bus. xxx

Hi ladies thank you very much for your welcomes

I ovulated around 26 June according to ovulation test, EWCM and cervical position ( I know....I'm doing the lot...) which was day 20 of my cycle so I am now about 10 DPO.

Currently driving myself crazy analysing every twinge...although I definitely have horrid cramps, has anyone experienced that and then gone on to have a BFP?

The wait until the weekend is going to be unbearable!

Thanks

Summer2008 · 07/07/2009 07:56

Poppyjen - I had cramps before i got my BFP :-)

teenycalls · 07/07/2009 09:48

Good morning ladies, hope you are well - and for those in the 2ww maintaining your sanity!

AF finally rocked up this morning so a 34 day cycle in the end, hope it's a one off caused by DIY hell for past 2 weeks (over now!) Seems I now get sore boobs before periods then, anyone else get this? It's never happened to me before but have lost 2 stone in the past 6 months so could be a sign that my hormones are now stronger and i'm more fertile [clutching at straws emoticon]

Morning Ladies - we're one day nearer the weekend! Looks like there'll be loads of us testing at the weekend, great to be in it together. Got a confirmation from the hosp yesterday that I DID indeed ovulate (progesterone gone right up!). That's my first ovulation since Jan 2007 when DS was conceived. Yeah.

However, they did say not to bother testing until at least 1 week after the progesterone rise (so that's TWO WEEKS after ovulation). So hang in there New Member :-)

Teeny, real shame AF finally got you - although I know you already knew she was on her way. At least you are on your way in the next cycle and those crazy 2WW days are over :-)

teenycalls · 07/07/2009 11:10

Thanks nanoo, think i'm going to start referring to it as the 3ww though

Am very excited about you all testing at the weekend (a bit like testing myself but without the fear!) Hope we get a few more BPF's before the bus reaches the end of the road - I am on totally the wrong bus and am going to end up walking miles but it's worth it to sit with you ladies a little longer

teenycalls · 07/07/2009 11:12

Erm, meant to say BFPs, sorry! I guess a big positive fat describes the later stages of pg nicely though!

LoobyLou82 · 07/07/2009 13:47

Hi folks, signing in for today,

I am now convinced I am not pregnant. Im 99% sure im not. Just a hunch. I will test next weekend as i have the tests but its not mu month i dont think. I got the first response tests this morning that have terrible reviews that give false positives and i got a BFN so even i didnt get the positive then!

I will come back on soon, im addicted to this, i must chesk MN about 4 times a day. Im sad i know!

Im holding out for you guys tho and hope you get your positives.

feeling a wee bit depressed! Im still a moody bitch tho, and still feeling really quite dizzy and faint, maybe the antibiotics

Love to all x

nanoo · 07/07/2009 20:59

Oh Lou, really sorry to hear you feel depressed. But why are you so sure you are not pg? Because of not having symptons yet (surely you wouldn't have any yet, it's too soon??). I have no symptons at all (unless, you'll laugh at this, piles is a sign of pg??! haven't experienced piles since that first week post-natal mess - what's my body up to?!).

Hold on for the weekend test x

Poppyjen · 07/07/2009 21:16

Ok guys - this is not a drill.....

I was feeling a bit weird today and so gave in and took a First Response HPT this evening and it came back with a faint but definitely line-like positive....

EEEEEK!!!

I won't get off the bus just yet though, I am feeling a bit cautious at this stage and will test again tomorrow and a couple of days later to be sure....

rainbowdays · 07/07/2009 22:06

poppyjen - how exciting, congrats.

Loobylou - thank for the suggestion that it could have been implantation bleeding, but unfortunately the bleeding started the first day that I finally got a negative test from the miscarriage that started the month before, so no way I could be pg yet! I was just surprised that the bleeding was so light as I was told that the remains of the m/c would come away with next af. Just hoping I get pg this month as generally fertility is higher after a m/c. Sorry to here that you are feeling low today.

LoobyLou82 · 08/07/2009 11:41

Hey guys

Im happier today

I tested this morning again still negative. I still ahve my super douper two tests for the weekend. I bought the original clear blue ones that are lucky for me but dot ditigal ones sent to me in the post by mistake. They are more expensive tho so i guess thats a bonus. i dont really like then tho as used before my last positive so have a bit of a mental block that if i get a positive then i will then go on to MC. mental i know. Plus the are very final, either preg or not, you cant see how light the line is etc. Moaning over...

anyway hope everyone else is well, congrats to poppyjen. L x

teenycalls · 08/07/2009 12:36

Congratulations poppyjen!!

Glad you are feeling a bit more positive Looby, totally get what you're saying about the tests. This TTC lark can make the most logical of us go a little bit superstitious... that fact that you know it's not really to do with the type of test you use is a good sign though

Just found out my friend's first go at IVF (after 3.5 years and cervical cancer) hasn't been successful I'm kinda glad I didn't get pg this month cos even though she never would have said I can only imagine how it would have made her feel.

LoobyLou82 · 08/07/2009 19:15

anyone getting serious dizzy spells, like when you stand up, or in general. Tesco is a bad one twice in last couple of days felt faint. Could be my antibiotics but has been for a week now anyway.
Lx

nanoo · 09/07/2009 11:59

Lou, yep, I'm getting dizzy - but I've looked it up and can't find out why it would be an early pg symp (raising progesterone levels maybe??). For me I think it's just stress and exhaustion (can't sleep with excitement/nerves). Listen to me, I sound ridiculous!

Teenycalls, you're v lovely to your friend - although I'm sure she would have been happy for you...and will be when it happens for you. My best friend has recently become pg again (we have same age DS already) - and she is moaning SO much about how crap she feels, morning sickness etc... V difficult to be understanding all the time

I would love to have morning sickness right now...

Evening Ladies!

Ok so today is cycle day 23 for me - I have been praying so much that this would be my lucky month! The last 3 days I have had a slight brownish discharge and some twinges in my lower tummy - so, is this AF on way?

So disappointed but i will NOT get down about it - I will just look forward to trying again! This TTC has def brought us closer - which is lovely

Hope u r all ok

ApuskiDusky · 10/07/2009 22:31

Hi all,

Well I'm back from my work trip and I'm still hanging in there, no AF yet, though I did have period-like pains yesterday. I had an awful day at work, quite upsetting, so I want to let emotions settle down before I test, will sleep on it I think! And I need to buy a test of course!

Hope it wasn't AF on Thursday, NewMember. Any more confirmation on the thin line Poppyjen?

Will check in tomorrow!

Poppyjen · 11/07/2009 10:20

Hi ApuskiDusky

In a word....yes...

Rather obessively I have now done 5 tests (4 first response and one normal tesco one) and all came back positive!!!

It was somehow extremely comforting to see the line get darker every day - yesterday the line matched the test line so I guess I'll have to start believing it now

I know a line is a line, but I have been (rather shamefully) lining the tests up next to each other so I can see the progression....my goodness TTC (or maybe pregnancy?) has made me strange. I was even tempted to take the latest test stick with me to work yesterday just so I could sneak a peek and remind myself [bush] I didn't I hasten to add....

I am so excited but it hasn't sunk in yet at all. I have a doctors appointment on Thursday morning so maybe it will start to feel a bit more real after that.

Good luck to all of you who are testing this weekend - I am sending positive thoughts and wishes your way

Poppyjen · 11/07/2009 10:21

oops, meant to say not [bush].....

Those hormones must be getting to me already
