missiek sorry af got you but glad you are feeling positive and looking forward to getting down and dirrrty with dh this cycle!!

sweet I'm an old hand at this ttc lark too - I hadn't thought about it in numerical terms until I saw your post but this is my 6th time ttc a fact that quite surprised me when I realised!

I think ttc bucks the trend because in other aspects of life, the more experience you have of something (e.g. an activity or a job or whatever), the easier it becomes...not with ttc!!

teenycalls · 29/06/2009 12:09

Ooh, good luck to all you OVing ladies, I expect lots of BD from you

I am on CD27 and symptom high alert:
I feel exhausted (could be all the DIY)
My mouth tastes funny (could be garlic breath)
My tea smells a bit bleachy (maybe they Chlorinated the water)
I have very mild cramping and have since CD20 (could be onset of AF)
My nipples are sore (could have caused this by constant checking if nipples are sore!)
My elbow hurts (I know, i'm scraping the barrel!)

I know i'm a fruit loop but know you ladies understand

Off into town at lunch and will have to resist the magnetic pull of Boots

Summer2008 · 29/06/2009 13:11

teenycalls - Your post really made me laugh! I thought I was the only one symptom spotting mad.

Seems like were on the same calendar day, so fingers crossed this is your month and anyone else due to test soon.

NancyPreg · 29/06/2009 14:37

teeny the smoking gun for me was the elbow pain - that has got to imply a successful month of ttc . Your list sounds very promising...did you resist Boots earlier?!

summer I think we're all symptom spotting - it's almost impossible not to, although I am trying to keep my mind from wandering too much...at least until a few more days have passed

teenycalls · 29/06/2009 15:10

Well I did go in Boots but I didn't buy a HPT, bought some lovely bronzey face highlighter instead (temporarily feels very virtuous...)

However, I cracked and went in Superdrug about 10 minutes later and bought a 2 pack! I justified this on the grounds that I will need them at some point, they are now calling to me from my drawer - DP is going to have me carted off in a white van if this carries on! Determined not to test until at least Wednesday (makes note to get tips on self restraint from Summer2008 and NancyPreg...)

NancyPreg · 29/06/2009 15:26

Knowing that pg tests are in the drawer is almost as bad as knowing that choc from Hotel Chocolat is hidden in a drawer...can I resist such delicious choco? Let's just say that I'm better at resisting HPTs than Hotel Chocolat

LoobyLou82 · 29/06/2009 17:00

sweetkitty there is 19 months between my two DS's and if i fall pregnant this month then it would also be 18 months gap too. I just want another now as im already in the baby zone and dont wanna wait five years then go back to start again. That way i get them all out of nappies within the shortest space of time

LoobyLou82 · 29/06/2009 17:09

teenycalls your post made me laff. I cant resist either, i was the same with my first two pregnancies. I even tested again when i was 10 weeks pregnant to make sure the "bean" was still there and that i was still pregnant. Its so easy to become obsessed. I have been smptom spotting even tho its only two dpo, sad i know. But i have convinced myself im pregnant. So easy to do tho...hope i am. I already feel sick, faint, have terrible headache, and i have the classic sore elbow so must be true! even this early...

teenycalls · 30/06/2009 08:43

Update for today, still haven't tested

How is everyone else doing, any convincingly sore elbows?

Hi Ladies,

I went to the Nurse yesterday as I am getting a bit stressed out with trying to conceive, think its almost 8 months! She said the CBFM is so accurate - they dont need to do OV tests as I am obv OV!

My DP is going to the docs today to discuss a sperm check! Has anyone else had there DP do this - I am so scared if there is a prob!

We would both be devastated - I am so worried for him incase he gets a wee shock! He is so confident in thinking he will be ok!

What do u think?

teenycalls · 30/06/2009 10:25

Hi NewMember, if you are getting so stressed about TTC then I guess getting tests is the right thing as it might set your mind at at rest and there is no doubt that being relaxed helps with TTC. I have moments where I think that we might have problems but the chances are that we don't. Whatever the results, remember it only takes one! And there are so many options these days. If your relationship is strong enough to TTC then it is strong enough to handle anything else.

I think one of the problems with us ladies is that we are so used to having control over everything in our lives and then we TTC and have no control whatsoever! Just try to enjoy the rollercoaster, chances are you will be getting off soon IYSWIM

Good luck (Moral support emoticon)

Bettymum · 30/06/2009 12:25

Hello ladies, I've been on holiday so haven't been checking in. AF got me yesterday when we stopped at the service station on the long drive home from the Lakes
So I guess I'll go and hop on to the April bus but congrats to all the BFPs and good luck to everyone else!

nanoo · 30/06/2009 12:29

LoobyLou - I've definitely got the old sore elbow. Painful to even write this post.

Actually, I only ovulated on Sun - so guessing implantation is a long time off yet (next Sun??). How come it's only Tuesday...?

LoobyLou82 · 30/06/2009 15:29

nanoo I ovulated i think on sat thats when i felt the pain, not doing the sticks so cant be sure. I was also extra horny and now im not as horny so i either sickened myself with all the sex we were having or im no longer fertile! I will BD tonight as today is my day 14 and that seems to be the average ovulation day so best do it just to be sure its have work being a woman!

Well done teenycalls i could not handle waiting, you hav done brilliantly, go test as im dying to find out if your, to use a Glaswegian term, "up the duff" Fingers crossed your pregnant x Good Luck

Thank you Teeny. I just hope the tests come back ok - then I think nature will take its course as I will be more relaxed!

As u say, we will tackle anything thrown our way!

Fingers crossed it will all be gd news

Thanx again

x

teenycalls · 30/06/2009 19:24

(Looks around a what is now a fairly quiet room)

Sorry to all the ladies that evil AF has caught up with, feel quite sad now you're off on the April bus, I will be hanging around for at least a few more days as not a sniff of AF and far too scared to test!

How are all you other ladies getting on, any symptoms? My gammy elbow has gone away but a more interesting turn of events has developed. My nipples feel like they are on fire and have been getting more sensitive, I have also noticed some paler 'nobbles' around them that i'm pretty sure weren't there before... trying not to get my hopes up and distracting myself with mint magnums and handbag buying shenanigans!

nanoo · 30/06/2009 19:40

Teenycalls that's sounding v v exciting. I'm just like you - I get too scared to test. It was burning nipples that eventually told me DS was on the way. And sudden dislike of tea. Anyway, in your shoes, I'd keep up with the magnums. Actually I'd keep up the ice-cream either way .

NewMember · 30/06/2009 19:42

Hi Ladies ...

Ok so DP just back from docs (he went to see about sperm check etc)

The doctor has said to put it off for few months before testing! He said with his weight/life style/ health etc there would be very little change of problems!

He advised that we CALM down a little bit, become more relaxed and consider turning my CBFM off for a few months - as it might be causing more stress and anxiety!

So... I think we will take his advice and see where we are in 3 months time!

Please Please work bofore then

teenycalls · 30/06/2009 21:11

NewMember your doctor sounds very sensible, i'm glad you seem a little more relaxed than earlier. Does your DP take zinc? I've heard this can increase the quantity and quality of sperm - even if it just has a psychological effect it might be worth it.

Nanoo your post has made me feel quite excited but I just keep telling myself it's something to do with the heat! May try to summon up courage to POAS tomorrow (looks around room for witnesses and starts thinking of excuses to get out of it!)

Any news from your corner Summer2008?

Summer2008 · 01/07/2009 08:06

Hi All,

Well for the past 4 days i have been getting lots of symptoms. Cramping, tender breasts, feels slightly sick etc etc.

So I must admit I caved early and tested yesterday am and got a BFP! AF not due until Friday though so will get more excited then and waiting till Friday really to just be sure.

But I was very surprised how dark the line was at 10DPO.

Good luck for today teenycalls!
