hi all,

haven't been on for a while, am trying to wean myself off a bit to be honest.

Sorry for all the bfn's over the weekend, maybe just a tad too early for some hopefully

Well Tuesday, day 18 for me out of a 26 day cycle, was determined this was my month but fear may have missed the moment,as was working nights the day i think i ov.

Still, ever the optimist, when is the earliest I can test? No point telling me to step away, tis impossible. Am doomed to spend future retirement funds on bloody shares in clearblue.

Good luck to anyone waiting, we need someone to keep Effie company at the front of the bus.

Any news on MrsJoe?

donttrythisathome · 21/04/2009 07:44

I've started to spot, so I'm sure the witch will get me in the next couple of days

Going into labour over Christmas lunch would be a right pain anyway tis true!

Still...disappointed...

laurielou · 21/04/2009 08:09

Morning ladies,

Any more news schlumpf & thesoo? I have everything crossed for you.

Bettymum · 21/04/2009 09:27

Morning everyone, any news schlumpf? I remember the first time I tested when I was pg with DD, only a truly eagle eyed madwoman could have spotted the line, but as the days passed and I tested obsessively daily the lines got darker and darker.
Any developments thesoo?

sazlocks · 21/04/2009 11:20

Morning everyone - still waiting for AF to arrive. I am sure it won't be long now but have kept my seat near the top of the bus for the moment.
Looking forward to everyone else's news.

stephiepug · 21/04/2009 11:53

im sorry blocka was roting for you this month

stephiepug · 21/04/2009 12:45

sorry about ur bfn blocka x

thesoo · 21/04/2009 17:49

Developmentts of a rubbish nature I am afraid. AF arrived today - 3 days early. An unwelcome surprise. Spent a fair amount of the afternoon weeping in the toilets. Plan to spend a fair amount of the evening drinking wine on the sofa.

Totally gutted as we really went for it this month. I am now 38 and feel that time is slipping away, don't want to give up yet, but maybe I am just setting myself up for heartbreak by trying....want a second dc more than anything in the world tho'! What to do??

Sorry for self indulgent nature of post. Any good news out there?

Blocka · 21/04/2009 18:38

I am so, so, so sorry thesoo . I know how heartbreaking it is. I am TTC#2 as well, and I conceived instantly with DD, and conceived immediately second time but had an early m/c.

You have to remember it is only cycle 3 for us both - it is totally normal for it to take this long. I know that won't make you feel any better - but you have to keep reminding yourself.

Go and drink your wine, cuddle your DP/H and look forward to cycle 4 - I'll bunch along so you can sit next to me on the bus and we can have a giggle along the way.

Chin up chick x

Blocka · 21/04/2009 18:40

thesoo , if you read my post from Sunday night at about 8.30pm - you will see we have gone through exactly the same thing.

You are not alone x

ccpink · 21/04/2009 18:44

hi - big hugs to blocka, donttry and theso. I'm on day 21 and wondering why the people sitting ahead of me on the bus are not so demented as me to find out. My symptoms seem to have subsided a bit today so maybe I am kidding myself after all. I've even resorted to assessing if I've been wee'ing more and if cm more - tmi sorry! I'm so sad. Mam is coming for a few days tomorrow so will hopefully distract me until the weekend at least. Am I the only maniac on here wishing my days away!

thesoo · 21/04/2009 18:50

Thank you so much for your kind words blocka. Even your sweet posts make me cry. Nothing will stop those tears today and the wine hasn't even been opened yet

But, tomorrow is a new day, a new month, and for all of us who have BFN, it will be our month - I am sure of it XXX

Now, where is that corkscrew...

donttrythisathome · 21/04/2009 18:52

Come on thesoo, that corkscrew is somewhere - I'm about to have a big glass now and toast to next month.

EffieGadsby · 21/04/2009 19:13

Evening all,

I guess I should move off the January bus and put myself on the December ante-natal thread, as I keep wanting to post more here, but don't want to seem insensitive by talking about my little growth. I'll continue to lurk here (I lurked a lot - a bit of a fare dodger, me - before I first posted, so I feel like I know some of those here better than they'll feel they know me) as it's exciting to keep track of how everyone's getting on in their baby quests. Even though I know I haven't said much here, I didn't want to just bugger off and vanish.

Sprinkles of baby dust in every crevice of the thread! Good luck, lovely ladies. Bring on the positives for 2010.

xxxx

Blocka · 21/04/2009 19:26

effiegadsby you are welcome on our bus anytime. You remind us that there is hope!!!!

How is the little growth? Have you got a madmidwife appointment yet?

TickysMum · 21/04/2009 20:44

Hi all, am a bit behind, but I've finally ovulated this cycle :-) It happened last night (am being scanned regularly so can know sure). First time in over TWO YEARS! Yeah.

Only guess what - DH gets stage fright last night! Agh. Men. (Actually, can kinda understand when we've waited so long - but what spectacular timing!). We managed a bit of BD-ing this morning but am worried we've missed the boat. Anyone know how long after ovulation we still have a window to get pg?

ccpink · 21/04/2009 20:48

hi ticky
go for it - you've got a good few days!!!! very quiet on here. I should be working but avoiding it like the plague - shame I don't avoid pregnancy tests so easily

donttrythisathome · 21/04/2009 21:02

Ticky - the egg lasts maximum 24 hours I think so the morning BD might have done it for you.

NewMember · 21/04/2009 21:05

Oh this 2 WW is driving me mad .... HELP!!!!

katlokna · 21/04/2009 21:32

Hi NewMember I don't think I can be much help I'm afraid.
I am only 8dpo myself am pretty sure I ov'd on the 13th so am now willing the time to go until AF/testing time. Only 6 more days of running to the bathroom first thing so the temptation to test early is removed.

Am surprised we have had so many BFN's. I would have thought EffieGadsby would have had some company by now.

NewMember · 21/04/2009 21:40

Oh I know, its such a shame! Maybe the Feb 2010 bus will be buzzing! lol

bringonthetrumpets · 21/04/2009 22:54

really dying to find out your results schlumpf reallllly hope your our newest graduate! fingers crossed for you.

really sorry for the latest bfns ladies. seems like a black rain cloud over the front of our bus. hopefully it goes away soon!

still no af, no signs of af and no signs of anything really. i'm pretty convinced it's due to still bf'ing ds. thinking i'm just going to try to enjoy my responsibility-free time in the bed with dh. but then again, we all know how easy it is to say one thing and have your mind go crazy with the "what if's".

best of luck to everyone currently in the 2ww!

laurielou · 22/04/2009 08:11

Morning ladies,

So sorry to hear of the other BFN's.

thesoo I hope you enjoyed a large glass of wine & had a good sleep. I'm sorry yesterday wasn't such a good day for you. Here's hoping to a more positive month this time around, x

I too have spent many an hour in the toilets, deep breathing to say the least. However I always end up feeling a bit Cagney & Lacey - they always had their dramas in the ladies, didn't they?

ccpink you are most certainly not alone in wishing your days away! I'm only on CD 3 for this month, feels like FOREVER! Want it over with NOW, start ov NOW & then BD!! I'm so impatient!

tickys good luck! Its all sounding good so far.

effie you're more than welcome to fare dodge on this bus, its nice to hear good news. Hope you're keeping well.

Hello to everyone else I haven't mentioned by name
