Jeez, sorry for the spelling!

islegrin · 19/04/2009 03:07

Laurielou BFN's blow! I'm so sorry to hear about that, I was hoping you'd be another graduate. Keep that cap & gown, you will be using it soon enough.

Your DH sounds so sweet - good for both of you, hug each other tight over the next few days of deep disappointment. By the time AF comes, you can look with some hope to the next cycle. Can't give up! (but we all need to indulge in self pity for a moment or two, every now and then... very understandable to feel completely deflated.)

donttrythisathome · 19/04/2009 10:22

Laurie please don't feel like you're a fool! You had symptoms and no AF so what were you supposed to think hon?!

Must have been torture meeting that friend

Welcome all the newbies - the more the merrier on this rollercoaster of emotions.

stephiepug · 19/04/2009 10:44

Girls im sending out Positive vibes and good luck to anybody else testing over the next couple of days!

Higglepig · 19/04/2009 13:38

Hello ladies,

Just checking in to see how you're getting on. REally sorry about the BFNs. Laurielou must have been v tough meeting your preg friend. Hope you've done something nice today to cheer yourself up.

AF arrived yesterday but not before I'd convinced myself on Friday that weird (sorry tmi) coloured CM was implantation bleed and I might have tested too early... Anyway, now conclusively not pregnant (!), on CD2 and trying to feel positive about this month.

Does anyone know whether you can start using the clearblue fertility monitors once your cycle's begun or do you have to start on CD1?

Blocka · 19/04/2009 14:32

Well girls, looks like I'm out

I was really, really convinced I was pregnant. Spotting 7 days after ovulation that I thought was implantation, feeling sick and my sense of smell has gone crazy - everything smells really really strong.

Did a test this morning and BFN. Then, just to twist the knife in, looks like AF going to arrive today - a day early. Spotting like mad.

Am gutted to be honest.

Sorry for all other BFNs too!

katlokna · 19/04/2009 17:35

Hi everyone. Sorry to hear about all the recent BFN's. Its always the same I find. AF holds off until you have done that HPT then comes to make you even more annoyed.

Higglepig
I am using a clearblue fertility monitor (for the 1st time this month), you can set it up to day 4 or 5 of your cycle. Its important when you set it though because when you test, you have to use FMU. So if you normally get up at 7am. You need to set it at 7am. It has a testing window of 3 hours either way of the setting time so in this example if af arrives after testing window for CD1 then you set it at CD1 the next morning IYSWIM.

bringonthetrumpets · 19/04/2009 17:35

Just updated for today. I am refusing to move to the back of the bus until my AF makes a proper appearance.

Oh, laurielou so sorry about your BFN, that must of been tough for you both. I am starting to wonder whether these home pregnancy kits are a good idea. I would rather wait in ignorance for my AF or a bump to appear! Its so painful not seeing those lines. I know, I didn't see it on two tests today .

gemstones · 19/04/2009 19:59

Hello ladies

Im really sorry for all the BFN's
It really does make me feel grateful for what i already have, i really do count my blessings.
I dont know you lovely ladies keep on going every month.
Im going to re-test on Tues

milmolmand · 19/04/2009 20:24

hi ryig to figure out what all the abreviations means as im new here !!
im on day 18 been doing ovulation tests since day 11 no positive result yet . confused . been off the pill for 2 yeas but not trying but not ovoiding ,just started doing OPK tests this month & trying on days off the ovulation calculators but why no positive result ? been doing tests since last sunday
HELP!

Blocka · 19/04/2009 20:29

I need some advice from you lovely girlies.

This morning, I thought it was game over. A BFN and I am spotting. My AF is not due til tomorrow, and usually, when I 'come on', it is very heavy straight away for about 3 days.

Today, it has been (TMI alert!) clear CM with blood streaked in all day. No sign of the grand entrance my AF usually makes.

Is it too late for implantation bleeding? Do I still have a glimmer of hope or am I fooling myself??

bringonthetrumpets · 19/04/2009 20:32

hey blocka it could be implantation bleeding or it could be a false af that happens sometimes around the time actual af would be due... maybe take another test tomorrow or the day after if af doesn't make her grand entrance?

Blocka - I was really convinced you were pg too....

Milmo - UCL - usual cycle length, CD - cycle day, BFN - big fat negative (as in pregnancy test), AF -aunt fanny i.e. your period, BD - bonk.
You probably haven't oved yet, you might be on a long cycle.

I think no HPT for me unless AF doesn't arrive. Been like a bitch all weekend though so the witch can't be far behind

milmolmand · 19/04/2009 21:00

thanks donttrythisathome ok so ill just keep testing for lh surge. just thought didnt ovulate as my 14 days before my next P was the 16th .

ccpink · 19/04/2009 21:07

hi girlies - sorry for all the BFN's. Hugs!
Milmolmand - from what I've gleaned - mostly on here I have to admit the opks are 100% so you might have ovulated anyway. Have you been bd'ing? Or I have also heard that sometimes you ovulate every other month as your ovaries take turns and not everyone ovulates from both?!? Let's hope it's the former
Blocka - I'd agree could be one of those freaky bleeds that you have while pregnant?!? More likely than implantation now I'd think. Give it a few days...
Marla - could you be too early in testing?
I'm now cd 19 and still convincing myself at every touch and turn. Sure it could all be in my mind and given the crappy results we've [ it does feel like we doesn't it] had this weekend you'd think I'd be more realistic. But I'M NOT. Still got weird heavy head, occasional dizzy/ nausea !!!Aargh!

ccpink · 19/04/2009 21:08

meant to say the opk's are NOT 100% or anyway near!

milmolmand · 19/04/2009 21:10

i dont know what BD stands fom bt i know what youo mean , yes i did sun mon tue & fri but not wed or thur.
my opk is just the cheap sticks not a good expensive one either

ccpink · 19/04/2009 21:14

Baby dancing!!!!Sex! Good - I'd say it was your sticks then hon. I bought them ffor the first time this month but know a lot of people don't think they're very good. I got one positive but that was really early - day 9?!? Just because I was so excited to have sticks that I thought I'd start early. Sad I know. Anyway I didn't get any other positives despite having major pains on the 13th? surely that was too late after the positive to be connected? I've also had a few days where even the test line hasn't been very good and I've guessed I've drunk too much but really they've just been a bit naff!?

milmolmand · 19/04/2009 21:18

so if you dont use them would you just have bd all that week instead ? dont think i can have a positive after wed so ill just test uill then. quite frustrating!! ys maybe they are a bit naf

ccpink · 19/04/2009 21:21

just baby dance for fun!!! - in the middle two weeks and then pj's back on for the 2ww I think the sticks just provided me with another thing to obsess over

milmolmand · 19/04/2009 21:24

yes im now doing them, then thinking should i do 2 a day , then joined these forums, gettig a bit obsessed but been trying without usig any tests for a long time so thought would try to do it this way, think im more confused now with all these dates!!! he he

ccpink · 19/04/2009 21:26

have to agree I've considered 2 a day too - but so damn expensive! I think probably the egg white cm best indicator! Start knicker inspections!!!
