This isnt exactly a nice subject, but has anyone tried using a turkey baster to get pregnant? does this actually work?

sorry!! i knew i wouldnt have explained myself clearly. me and my hubby have been trying to get pregnant for 6 months and i remember watching Brookside ages ago where someone got pregnant using a turkey baster, which was why i was asking if anyone had actually tried this

hiya!! well i registered ages ago but i forgot my passwords so i have re-registered.
obviously you can tell from my question that i am getting pretty desperate to get pregnant. i always had this idea that getting pregnant would be so easy and having troubles conceiving was something that happened to other people. its only been a few months but im getting very stressed out about the whole thing

So who do you normally talk to ??

well i usually talk (also known as wingeing) to my husband but that upsets him. all of my friends are either with kids and so they say not to get stressed about things ot they arent trying for a bay so they dont understand and i wouldnt want to worry my parents about these things.

so how do you think a turkey baster will help, are you intending on using another mans sperm to make you pregnant?

well I know someone who got pg using a turkey baster so there! She is a lesbian and used it to inseminate herself with donated sperm.

I think it gets 'right up' there but I don't think there would be any advantage over normal penetrative sex?

well i was planning a double-whammy with penetrative sex with my husband aswell as him doing his business and then using a turkey baster. i think from peoples reactions i am going slightly nuts. then again my husband is a doctor and he has had patients that it has worked with

A turkey baster wouldn't do anything your man's willy couldn't do (and tbh your husband's willy is probably going to be a lot more fun). Just bonk each other senseless as often as you can and stop worrying about turkey basters!

Turkey basters are just used for DIY insemination when you don't have someone to have sex with (ie., you need someone to fill the baster but you don't want to do the deed with them).

No point if you are having sex. What kind of doctor is your dh? Surely he can offer you advice on this?
