But where are you going to get double the sperm from? You have to use the turkey baster sperm pretty much immediately, as far as I know. So if your dh loads up the baster pre-sex then his actual sex sperm will be lower quality (I think anyway...) also he'll have to be..erm...able to perform again pretty quickly. If he can do that then just having sex twice will have the same effect. Save your baster for the turkey is my advice.

And as a point of biological fact having sex, where the woman orgasms after the man has ejaculated, helps conception. The contractions of the uterus 'dip' the cervix into the semen. so if you are very keen to get pg you might be advised to do it the 'regular' way, unless there are good reasons why not (being gay, partners sperm not motile enough etc)

wizzywig, what is your occupation? couldnt you and dh have a week away when its your most fertile time so that you can relax and not be so stressed out?

Googled it - this first link is about "how to"

here

But this one basically says what we have all said: best way to get pg is to have sex

It's a cliche, wizzywig, but it's true: it's when you stop trying so hard that you get pregnant. And I know how hard it is - it took two and a half years for us to conceive our second baby. Have your weekend away and just enjoy it.

Hey....you guys are going to severely confuse this woman!!

Wizzywig they're mad!

I'm really sorry you feel so desperate that you want to buy a baster, just do the legs in the air and relax - it's the best thing.

I never said wizzywig was JF, just suggested that it might be from the same mindset.

The word wig never even impinged on me, and only used the JF reference to alert people to leave this one to die a natural death.

I have obvioulsy failed miserably and apologise most wholeheartedly.

lav can i remind you of the mn troll policy, part of which is to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and that includes first time posters.

lavenderrr · 17/04/2005 19:12

if that's the case why has it ever been brought upin the first place, would have never mentioned it if it hdn't been mentioned...so maybe the subject could be closed unless you have great evidence!!!

Lou

I did not set out to start this, started a seperate thread using language that regular posters would pick up on without alerting anyone else advising that this one was left. Sadly it appears to have been a total cock up.
