Hi All. Can i join?

Am looking at ttc number 4 vv soon - just need to get used to charting with Dr Shettles! Have 3 wonderful DS and DH wants a DD but let's just say 4 boys not a prob for me to add to the other three, a (boy) dog and two (boy) cats! Haven't had time to read the whole thread, just caught alfiesmother's and followed her over. Stalker alert.

Will look in again when read the whole thread and worked out what's going on.

Katnkittens · 03/05/2009 22:14

Hi dothis, welcome!

Dothis and Alfiesmm, how old are you and your DC's? Just being nosey :p

I'm 29 and have a DS aged 13 next month eek, and 2 DDs aged 10 and 5. I'm a big fan of age gaps

I had 2 early mcs in Dec and Jan and have just had my first normal cycle since! Hoping this is my month and looking forward to having a Feb baby

Kat

Sorrento · 03/05/2009 23:29

I finally have some news, I start my down regulation for IVF on 23rd of this month so in theory should be expecting number 4 by June/July at the latest
Am trying to rein myself in and keep my feet on the floor but it's not easy !

rainbowdays · 04/05/2009 09:45

Hi and welcome to Dothis, Alfiesmum and Sorrento.

Like Kat I will introduce myself,

I'm 41 (ekk!), Have DS 5, DD 4 and DS2 age 1.

I have been trying since DS2 was born and finding my age is against me this time. But giving it a bit longer before I quit!

How old are your children?

Ready4anotherCoffee · 04/05/2009 10:17

Hi Dothis, Alfiesmm and Sorrento

I'm 28, and have a ds 5, dd1 3 and dd2 14 mths.

I've been trying since dd2 was 8 mths, but bfing is a very effective contraceptive for me, and I've only just have my first af since I stopped feeding dd2 6 weeks ago.

Dh is in the doghouse for being a twat. It's all blown out of proportion, and his boss (small family run company) and he have agreed that they are going to find it very difficult to work together. I am incrediably cross with him, but just have to do what is best for the family as a whole. On the good side he has decided, with a large boot up the arse, that it is time he left driving(HGV & PSV, very anti family hours) and takes this as an opportunity to re-train. Gonna be a pita to have him underfoot, but hopefully he won't be too maudlin about it.

And no, I'm not leaving the thread, we've survived much worse. In fact, I've never had it so often

Babyblue, he is beautiful!

sorry to hear about another of your SILs Rainbow. it is gut wrenching, isn't it. I was squidging a 2week old yesterday at church, and could have kidnapped him

hope everyone else is well and enjoying the bank hol

Sorrento · 04/05/2009 11:06

Hello
I have three DD's 5, 6 and 8 yrs. I wanted one more but DH in his wisdom took himself off for a vasectomy anyway 4 years of nagging wore him down and we're trying ICSI. I've promised on the one hand we'll give it one go and see what happens, on the other hand I have bought an entire nursery range and a pram so I think we'll be having a baby come what may
We're off out for the day so will catch up later.

ScorpiowithabigS · 04/05/2009 11:39

ooh new blood

Seeing as we are all introducing ourselves - I'm 24, with ds1 6, ds2 4, dd just 1, and 7 weeks pg tomorrow. I also have a dss but we only se him in school holidays (lives far away).

I had a blighted ovum in Feb and was v v v shocked to be pg after CD13 sex before dh went away and only found out 2 weeks ago i was pg, at 5 weeks

Really feeling MS this time. Then when MS finally gives up for the day, i get so tired i have to sleep NOW iyswim, usuallly by 830pm. Keep teasing DH about twins.

DoThisDoThat · 04/05/2009 15:37

Hi again.

Am 40 (just) and have DS ages 5,4 and 10 months.

We live in Bahrain, have done since August and just decided to stay a bit longer assuming all well on the DH job front. We have great domestic help here, hence the decision to go for number 4. Couldn't do it otherwise. Would go mad(der).

Rainbowdays, hoping you get your DC4 soon. My friend here is pg with number 2 at the age of 43 and will be nearly 44 when she's born. She's my inspiration/hero!

babyblue3 · 04/05/2009 17:56

Hello all! Welcome to the newbies

I am 36 and 28 weeks pg with DS2. DD1 is 11 DS1 is 9 and DD2 is 18 months.

Thanks to the baby, I woke up sick with yet another cold! Ugh! Feel like a truck hit me Hopefully a day in bed will help, since tomorrow DH is home and we have a tonne of errands to run. Not to mention, we have an actual date night planned!! My Dad is coming to watch the DCs and DH and I are going to see Il Divo in concert. I am so looking forward to this. The worst part is, if I feel worse, I can't even dope myself up and try to get by!! LOL

How is everyone? You ladies have a bank holiday today? Nice! Next week DH and I have our week of holidays together. I am looking forward to that, even though it will be spent spring cleaning and doing the gardening. My bump is definitely getting in the way of cleaning now! LOL..

Katnkittens · 04/05/2009 23:31

Hi everyone,
Grrr DH is away for the rest of this week then the whole of next week! Luckily the weekend he is home happens to be CD12, 13 and 14 so not totally out for this month. Just have to have a shagathon next weekend

How are you rainbow? Symptom spotting yet?

alfiesmadmother · 05/05/2009 14:38

It's lovely here!
Mine are 7, 5 and 3, so really ready for anther now! Dh got made redundant, left last Friday so am feeling over emotional, we have been deciding wether to keep trying or not so secretly hoping fall pg this time, and since I am on my 2ww...am on CD26 of a 33 day cycle and am crying now as haven't the slightest symptom but know I am being stupid as 7 days until I should test anyway. Can't stand the wait. This weather isn't exactly a distraction and DH at home isn't helping!!! I just really want to be pg. Am i nuts??? Hormonal???

Scorpio your baby sounds a special one x My DS3 was similar, had had no periods for a year and then BD once and was pg. My special boy!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all

It strikes me alfie that having redundant hubbies makes this the perfect time to be getting pregnant with number 4, I don't know about you but if mine was working i'd be getting bugger all help around the house and with the other Dc's.
He got 1 week paternity leave last time somethings are worth more than money, you can't buy an extra pair of hands that loves your DC's as much as you do.

alfiesmadmother · 06/05/2009 10:46

Ye sorrento that's true, I get extreeeeeeeemly tired in the first 3 months so if DH can get the kids to school and make me endless cups of tea, well, that sounds good to me!!! He's also a dab hand at washing/ ironing lol!

Really hoping to be pg this time, but not hopeful, 5 days now til AF due, seems forever. Who would think I would be like this with number 4!?

Hope you are feeling better babyblue.

Ready4anotherCoffee · 06/05/2009 10:48

Sorrento, it makes no difference to me, except that he's underfoot, and complaining that I don't do things the way he thinks I should

I'm trying to find all the paperwork he needs for the job centre this afternoon. tomorrow or fri I will have to find time in a hetic day to sit around at the council offices for an hour to get the HB and CTB claim in. I'd get him to do it, but really, at least i know it's done.

control freak? moi???

Sorry to hear about your DH Heinz. Last time, for us, it was for 13 weeks, from 4th jan until the 2nd week of april. Don't know how long this time. He says he wants out of driving, but dosen't know what.

HeinzSight · 06/05/2009 13:17

Ready, it really is tough out there. I just know that he's going to end up before offered a job a week or so before this LO arrives!!!!

babyblue3 · 06/05/2009 16:23

Heinz - how are you feeling these days??

How is everyone else doing??

Still feeling poorly with this awful cold! Had a fab time with DH on our 'date day' yesterday. Il Divo is incredible in concert. Are they as popular in the UK as they are in North America??

Feel badly that so many of you have redundant hubbies... Hopefully this economy improves and things start to look up for you all. I can see it being nice to have the extra help at home with the DCs, but it is a little nerve wracking when you are TTC or are expecting #4 (or 5!).

We are going on a mini getaway this weekend (with DCs) to Niagara Falls. Its our Mother's Day on Sunday, so we usually go for a picnic in the park and then do some shopping. Kids are looking forward to swimming in the hotel pool! Hopefully the weather will cooperate. After that... hubby and I have a week worth of chores to do! LOL

HeinzSight · 06/05/2009 20:52

Hi babyblue, I'm not too bad thanks. Hips being really stupid and painful but apart from that can't complain. I'm sorry you're not feeling too well.

My stepmum saw Il Divo a month or so ago and fell madly in love with them. She wasn't actually a fan, she was only really going to keep a friend company. She's definitely a fan now!

How exciting your planned trip to NIagara Falls, lovely xx

rainbowdays · 07/05/2009 12:47

ARRRGGGG - totally unrelated to anything here, but I have just wiped off all the data off my phone,,,, my main way of keeping track of kiddies hospital appointments, family birthdays etc.... ARGGGG. So cross with myself, did it last night accidentally, and computer I had my phone backed up onto got the blue screen of death three weeks ago, so not even able to get the data back again.... ARRGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

HeinzSight · 07/05/2009 14:32

rainbowdays, that's VERY annoying. I too worry about that happening. I'm so bad for not writing info down in my 'real' address book!

babyblue3 · 07/05/2009 15:27

Rainbow - thats awful... I too am guilty of that. If I ever lost my cell phone, I wouldn't know what to do! All my appointments are put into my paper daytimer that I carry around with me (also necessary for work), but my contact numbers and some addresses are all in my phone. What a pain!

Heinz - my low back and hips have also been bothering me. I roll out of bed feeling like I am 80 yrs old! Have been to a couple of massage therapy sessions that seem to help a little. At this rate, don't think I will be able to work up til my due date. I am already getting restless sitting for hours on end behind my desk.
