Guys we need a new group! Wouldn't let me post in old one.

MrsDis I recognise him but can't for the life of me think of his name.

Someone spill!

Kat - poor you... that does sound awful. I have a tonne of allergies and get hives regularly in the summer (from grass), so I know it can't be fun. When you are pg does it get better? I have a few friends who have a variety of different ailments, and they tell me that pg actually helps their conditions.

Katnkittens · 11/03/2009 15:06

Thanks girls, I didn't have it when I had my others but apparently it usually gets better in pregnancy
Allergies suck, babyblue I also have asthma, hayfever and lots of drug and animal allergies... I've had asthma all my life but the rest have come on in the last 3 years or so, it's weird.

Scorpio LOL at DS2.... Lily (5) went through a phase of
'Mammy'
'what'(me)
pause....'nothing'
To be repeated as many times as possible

Aren't they lovely?

babyblue3 · 11/03/2009 15:28

Hahaha... my neice (now 4) did same thing to my sis. In a very whiney voice repeated "mummm-meeee" or "nannn-nneeeee" over and over and over until acknowledged and then would just stare blankly. Used to make me grit my teeth when I had to hear it!! LOL... We definitely have more tolerance with our own babes! LOL

I am lucky not to have asthma, but at 20yrs old, suddenly developed allergies to grass, trees, ragweed, apples, pork, chocolate and the list goes on! I broke out into such bad hives, that they covered my body. I looked like a pizza! I eventually ended up in hospital as my eyes and throat also started to swell shut. All because I was washing my car while my neighbour cut his lawn! Thank God was told it would never get to that point again. On the upside... have managed, through trial and error, to figure out I can get away with small doses of milk chocolate and not get sick!! LOL.. can you imagine... life without CHOCOLATE!!!!!

ScorpiowithabigS · 11/03/2009 15:32

So much fun, isn't it. Why do we all want more again???

I start thai boxing on friday [eek]

Katnkittens · 11/03/2009 15:51

OMG couldn't cope with a choccy allergy babyblue!! As far as I know I don't have any food allergies.. yet!

Ooh scorpio thai boxing sounds fun, I'm so unbelieveably unfit, I should start something really but DH works such long hours, he doesn't get in un til 10 most nights , I can't really commit to anything as I have the kids constantly!

Katnkittens · 11/03/2009 15:54

Although I do have weekends so have no excuse then

ScorpiowithabigS · 11/03/2009 15:54

DH is a fighter at the same gym, but im starting out with ladies only nights and may go to mixed bag blast night on a tuesday if im confident enough iyswim

babyblue3 · 11/03/2009 17:20

Now that my appetite is back, I want to make sure that I don't start gaining too much weight. I hired a personal trainer at my gym. She does weights for half an hour with me and then I walk/jog on the treadmill for half an hour on my own. I do this twice a week right after work. My older 2 come home from school on their own (its a 3 minute walk) and start their homework, and the baby is in daycare, so I have some time to myself. Its hard to fit gym time in any other time since DH works until 8pm and by then I am comatose! I do get funny looks from the other people in the gym... especially when I jog!! LOL... but me and DH were runners before getting pg, so its not a big deal.

I just don't want my wobbly bits to get more wobbly!! LOL

Kat - choccy allergy is the worst! I get migraines when I eat too much, or the wrong kind. I can't eat fudge or brownies. I can have some dark chocolate (which I LOVE), and can usually eat enough milk chocolate to sink a ship!! LOL. Its a good thing that my little bean does not like sweets... he prefers the salty foods. Crisps are going to be my downfall!! LOL

HeinzSight · 11/03/2009 21:30

baby I take my hat off to you!!!!

babyblue3 · 12/03/2009 11:27

So I finally got the final results from my amnio last night and am happy to say that all is well They also confirmed that baby is a boy... so no guessing the accuracy of my scan this time!! LOL... still no names in sight though.

Katnkittens · 12/03/2009 11:58

What a relief babyblue! I know it was good news before but it's nice to have the final all clear for you and beanie

Am feeling a bit down today which is unusual for me... I'm not sure if it's all catching up with me? I'm not good at dealing with things, I tend to put on a brave face and put bad things in a 'box', I never grieved for my losses really, is it normal not to cry?
I'm still seriously doubting whether I want another DC too.

I know part of my feeling down is the fact that I'm not out and about much during the day at the minute. I'm supposed to be writing my dissertation but I've barely started and I'm turning into a right lazy cow. I've gone from being at uni every day and running around like a mad woman to this! I know it's enforced and it's not my choice, they give us 10 weeks off, but it's not good for me as it gives me too much time to dwell on things.... also I work best under pressure and knowing I have x amount of time always makes me get a bit slack about things.

Sorry for the moan, I have DS's tummy bug too so not feeling too grand health wise which doesn't help!

I'll probably be ok again tomorrow!

babyblue3 · 12/03/2009 13:20

Kat - sometimes it just takes time for things to sink in. Maybe you were too busy to deal with things before, but now that you are home, and have time on your hands, things are all going to spill out. When that happens, just let it out! We are here to listen to your rants, me posts, and whatever else you want to throw at us As for doubting you want another DC, it could just be due to your impending 'meltdown'. I am sure that once you have dealt with all your issues, that things will once again appear clear to you. Its probably just fear of going through another loss that has you doubting your original decision. We are always here to chat

Awfully quiet here today... or maybe its just that I have nothing to do at work so I sit on the internet and wait for something to happen here!! LOL

Katnkittens · 12/03/2009 15:54

Thanks babyblue you wise owl you

I actually felt better after I'd written that

DH is working such long hours too, I was well peed off with him last night after promising to finish at 7.30pm (crap but a compromise) he turned up at about half nine. I know he's not exatly doing it for fun but c'mon... 14/16 hour days all week? Not good!

The trouble with that is when he is back sometimes I resent him being here, I have got so independednt and used to him not being around that it's hard for me to let him 'in' sometimes. Don't get me wrong, generally I have a happy marriage and we love each other loads, it's just hard sometimes.

Also babyblue, you sound like my friend, she sits and emails me all day from work to avoid doing anything

mrsdisorganised · 12/03/2009 16:11

Hello all,

Haven't been on much as dc's haven't been well and haven't really had the energy to stay up... anyway they are all over the waorst but I have a sore throat now! The joys!

Currently being crwaled over by dd4 so going to give up....

ScorpiowithabigS · 12/03/2009 16:14

Great babyblue!! What sort of names do you like - modern, traditional?

Cd32 here, no sign of anything.

Katnkittens · 12/03/2009 16:15

PMSL MrsD.... about you being crawled over not DCs being poorly

We've all had a mild stomach bug which is unpleasant and has involved DD2 informing me of every bowel movement and making me look at her product

Thankfully she's pretty much over it now...

mrsdisorganised · 12/03/2009 16:44

Delightful children Kat...why do they do that!!! Totally know where you're coming from on the dh front, the girls and I have a routine through out the week and everything is done, when he comes home at the weekend it all goes pear shaped! Even though I miss him and wish he could come home at night......marriage is hard work and don't let anyone tell you any different! We've been together (bar about 6 months) for 14 years this year, still constantly 'working at it'! It's worth it though
Am hiding now, my little sis has taken over tonights dinner...pizza...I am not cooking a decent meal for it to go to the dogs again!

Scorpio will keep fingers crossed for you xx

babyblue3 · 12/03/2009 17:32

Haha - re my not wanting to work. The problem is, I don't really have a position at the moment. I basically help out with whomever needs it. Some days go by fast, others crawl. When I do get work, I try to stretch it out to avoid looking bored and useless!! LOL.. Internet makes me look busy during the quiet stretches. Haha.. it will be nice to get back to my regular job after having the baby... modified duties really SUCK!

Scorpio - keepin everything crossed

MrsD - Seems like my household is ALWAYS getting over one bug or another. We all have coughs and runny noses at the moment. DD2 hasn't spent an entire night in her bed in ages. This morning she woke us up at 2:30am and DH brought her to our bed. At that point, she decided it would be fun to pull my hair! Sigh... having a hard enough time sleeping without her antics. I'm just worried about what will happen when DS2 (still odd writing that!) is born and sleeping with us. DH will be out of luck! My bed will be full of kids (and the cat)! No worries about birth control I gues!! LOL

Chalkpink · 13/03/2009 13:26

Hi,
Just checking in and catching up.
Kat,hope you are feeling better today. I'm feeling low too. Was in a lot of pain yesterday and again today and it's no fun. I want to have another dc but dont know if I could do all this again. I feel like I've been pregnant or mc'ing for the last 6 months and it's a physical and emotional rollercoaster.
My DDs are 6 and 4, DS is 21mths. DD1 is playing up this week, maybe she's picking up on how I'm feeling. Hoping we can all have a nice relaxing weekend and start next week afresh.

Any news Scorpio. I have my fingers crossed for you.

DH works long hours or is abroad a lot. Luckily he cancelled this weeks trip at very short notice and has been here working from home for me.

Anyway, ds is having a nap so I should get on with something useful here.

Katnkittens · 13/03/2009 16:36

Hi chalk,

Your situation sounds a lot like mine r.e. miscarrying. It's lousy, this time took about 8 weeks of cramping, spotting, heavy bleeds and shooting pains for the m/c to be over. I'm glad I've taken a month off though, it's quite nice not to be obsessing for a bit...

My DH very occasionally works from home when he has no meetings, it's nice just to have him around even if he is on his laptop all day!

Hope you're feeling better soon and the pain subsides

xxxxx

ScorpiowithabigS · 14/03/2009 20:42

One of my friends has announced a pg - due same week as my lost one. So odd to hear. Its her first too and totally not on the cards from outsiders point of view. She is just over 12 weeks and so chuffed, but i cried. She was going to public announce tonight (girly night planned but mimi ill so im in) so im so happy i wasnt out! She didnt know about me.

Im cd34 after mc, still no period but i dont suspect a pg at all. DH is away this weekend He is a builder so never works from home

Katnkittens · 15/03/2009 13:44

((((((((((((((Scorpio))))))))))))))

Nothing to say apart from I know how you feel.
A friend of mine came in with all her scan pics, she was about 2 weeks ahead of me (1st mc).. I just ran away, didn't want to see.

Irrational and bitter.. ,moi??

We'll get over it with a new pregnancy very soon! And our babies will be littler and cuter when their brats are screaming toddlers.... LOL

ScorpiowithabigS · 15/03/2009 15:10

I'm doing ok today, i'm starting to get happier for her, and she is the type to cherish it too which helps iyswim

Im cd35 no sign of period or pregnancy. Whats going on???

mrsdisorganised · 15/03/2009 15:44

Scorpio are you going to test....does sound strange, unless it's down to stress, many women are late because of this although it never affects me! Hope you feel stronger soon, do understand how you feel. x

Twigs???? Where are you? x

Big hello to everyone else.

ScorpiowithabigS · 15/03/2009 16:27

no point in testing, i know im not pg, dont feel it at all. Shall i wait another week and go to GP - or 2 weeks? No im not stressed, have had far worse happen to me and not been late.
