Hello ladies... Thanks for making me feel normal again - I can't even imagine how I'll be next month if this one doesn't come good - LOL
Bubblebell... I may need you to come and restrain me!

Congratulations Sabs!! So excited for you!

Welcome Lam ! Fingers crossed for you chicka!

BlackCherry · 16/01/2009 11:57

Hi ladies,

How are we today?
I'm on CD5 and my af blues have gone and I'm feeling positive again.
Congratulations Sabs, hope yours is the first of many bfp on this thread!
I too am definitely going to try the legs in the air thing Will enlist the help of DH to keep me in position, should be fun!

Joy and Katster we're at very similiar points in our cycles(katster we're almost identical - yes I'm ttc#1 too) Bring on the ttw - we'll get through it together!!

I'm clueless about the taking temps thing, i'll have to go read up!

Hi lam, sorry to hear about your mc, sending you lots of happy positive baby dust.

AngelFairy · 16/01/2009 12:01

Kat..
You could very well have your first fertility clinic customer, as I'm sure I'll have to back fill my stock before the bf becomes aware of my new found obession!!
Do I get a discount for being (ever so) eager?

AngelFairy · 16/01/2009 12:03

Hey Blackcherry - welcome and here's to positive thoughts! x

Joy27 · 16/01/2009 12:12

Sabs what wondrous news! An auspicious start to such a new thread, indeed. I think we'll all be spending the next few weeks with our legs in the air (in more ways than one, arf). And I've often been suspicious of the advice that "trying" every day is not a good plan- the more times the merrier I say! Really hope that this time all goes swimmingly and without a hitch.

Welcome lam, sorry to hear about your miscarriage- there are several of us on this thread who have been through it, so we understand where you're coming from. I had a mc last July and it still weighs on my mind.

angel, maybe you need to start a "test jar" similar to a "swear jar". Each time you feel tempted to buy a test, put the money in a jar. Then treat yourself with the money you've saved!

My good news is that my boyfriend is not going away any more, yay.

Joy27 · 16/01/2009 12:14

Oh meant to say blackcherry I second your emotion of feeling positive after the initial disappointment of af. Luckily mine only last for 2-3 days so it was good to put it behind me and start looking forwards again.

lam81 · 16/01/2009 12:19

Hi katser thanks for adding me,yeah had mc in december, fell pregnant straight away after getting coil out, then went onto mc,was really awful, has made me very anxious about ttc now,as i'm sure u will know all about it sabs, congrats on ur bfp, thats helping me to stay positive!!

our dd was was a wee accident,so hopefully it'l happen soon for us and everyone else on this thread x x

lam81 · 16/01/2009 12:21

PS sabs dont feel embarassed i do legs thing too!!! x

Sabs1981 · 16/01/2009 12:23

phew! not just me then!

BlackCherry · 16/01/2009 12:30

That's great news Joy, about your boyfriend staying and af leaving.
My af usually outstays her welcome hanging around for 6-7days. Grrr. Not that she was welcome this month anyway!

theboob · 16/01/2009 12:33

hello all
this thread moves very fast so sorry if i miss anyone, congratulations on your BFP sabs xx
good luck for anyone else waiting to test ,i will write again later when i have more time xx

sammysam · 16/01/2009 12:40

Just quickly checking in before I pack...glad i did-i'd have never kept up otherwise!!!
Congrats sabs-that is fantastic!
Welcome Iam81-my dd was unplanned as well Am thanking the lord I didn't have to go through all this last time-i'd never have survived . Our dd's must be the same age? Mine was born at the end of July 06!

Better go-really need to get sorted!
Have a great weekend!
ps i'm so so tempted to test in the morning but suspect it'll only make me !

katster37 · 16/01/2009 12:47

Yep, Angel, you are welcome to visit the fertility clinic!I am really hoping not to go through all 50 (yes, 50) pg tests and fear this may just mean I start testing from about 1DPO but honestly, it was cheaper to buy them in bulk!!!

Joy and Blackcherry, yes luckily the AF blues do go away eventually. I'm CD4 now, and trying to resist getting my hopes up for this month, esp as DH is skiing, but also because I don't think anything will actually happen while my luteal phase is this short, so trying to concentrate on that. Which can also become a bit of an obsession in itself! This month I am going to try: AGnust Castus (for the 4th month), 200mg of B6 (up from 100mg), Red Raspberry Leaf, B12, folic acid, calcium and then a natural progesterone cream from OV to AF.... I will be kept pretty busy, I think! BTW, I do realise I sound like a complete lunatic with all of this... I promise I am (fairly!) normal in real life!! Honest!

lam81 · 16/01/2009 12:48

sammysam, yeah my dd was born beginning of august,so cute!! just been reading thru the thread i'm also going to be a bridesmaid in 12 dec for my best friend-weird!

lets hope we have wee bundles of joy to take along with us!! have a good trip x

katster37 · 16/01/2009 12:49

Oh, and sammysam have a lovely weekend at your mums! Let us know if you test - am crossing fingers that your AF stays away!

bubblebell1 · 16/01/2009 13:01

joy great news re bf you will be able to carry on with your ttc plans
angel will be happy to try and distract you. have you thought about getting some cheapie tests... might save you money if you really cant help yourself???
lam and sab i am def gonna try the leg in the air thing and ive been bding every other day since cd6 so now as i am cd13 i mite go for every nite for a week..
sammy hope you have a good time and will keep everything crossed for a bfp kat i get my ov sticks and hpts from baby mad.. £3 for 20 opks and £1 for 10 hpts. i just bought a months worth incase i got lucky.

AngelFairy · 16/01/2009 13:45

Sammy... Have a lovely weekend!

I think I've managed to calm myself from testing... The cost reality of testing twice today broke my spiral!

However, I have now become a blubbering mess?? I have just cried at a NY survivor on the news!! LOL...

Is anyone testing today?

AngelFairy · 16/01/2009 13:46

Joy... I think my 'test jar' would need an overdraft!! Ha ha...

oneyummymummy · 16/01/2009 13:49

This thread really is moving fast. My DD wasn't planned either but a very beautiful suprise!

I realise that I am not trying half as much as some of you...""AGnust Castus (for the 4th month), 200mg of B6 (up from 100mg), Red Raspberry Leaf, B12, folic acid, calcium and then a natural progesterone cream from OV to AF"" I have NO idea what half of these are or what they are for!! Maybe I need to do some more research! I think because DD wasn't planned I never had to do any of this and probably being very neive(sp???) in thinking it will just 'happen' again! Please can some one help and explain it all to me as well as the temp/CM lot as well! I truly am just BDing a lot to get pregnant and Im sure there is plenty more I should be doing!

theboob · 16/01/2009 13:50

hi all angel what cd are you on? i cant see you on the list?

shall we all say where we live t might be a way to mak new friends we could all be closer than we think?

oneyummymummy · 16/01/2009 13:51

angel I quite like the idea of a 'test' jar, you should go for it! I might test today as Ive been having crampy pains but AF not here yet, normally Cramps followed by AF straight away!

lam81 · 16/01/2009 13:59

yummymummy,i'm using ov sticks that i got from ebay, but unless u really want to start all that then i wouldn't,i started off with just lots of bding but then since mc have become a bit obsessed, its easy to get too caught up in it all and it gets bit confusing 2bh and stressful!! i'm the same as u,thought because dd happened by accident that it would be easy, thank god for accidents!! x

oneyummymummy · 16/01/2009 14:13

bubble just went onto babymad but can't find any ov or pg tests for as cheap as you mention....am I looking in the right place?
I am looking atthis page

lam are the ones from e-bay as good (dont really know why they wouldn't be, just feels like I might get ripped off)

katster37 · 16/01/2009 14:17

yummymummy - seriously, I am just weird. It is because we have been using 'natural' contraception for years, so I had to know when I ovulated in order not to get pregnant, and therefore realised I ovulated only 8 or 9 days before my period, which is not long enough for an egg to implant. HENCE I am now taking loads of stuff to try and regulate my hormones and get that bit of my cycle longer. I am sure that for people with normal cycle, none of the cr*p I am taking is necessary at all, but I want to try and sort myself out without loads of nasty drugs from the Dr's first. Plus, the Dr won't give out medication until after a year so I thought I'd have a go myself first! If all that makes sense!
theboob yes, what a good idea to say where we all are! I am in south London, but originally both me and DH are from Yorkshire. We met at school... How about everyone else?

theboob · 16/01/2009 14:20

I am in sunnyBlackpool
I have been with my dh since school too
