Hello to amy joy sorry to hear about AF arriving, I hope you are feeling a little better today!

ant 50EURO?? Thats daylight robbery! 190EURO Im speechless.....

josie good luck

blackcherry yeah, think doc will refer you to midwife, Im sure about the exact procedure, as with my DD they thought it was an eptopic, so I had 3 scans one at 4weeks,5weeks and 6 weeks, then again at 12weeks. I didnt get to see a midwife untill I was about 18weeks for my booking appointment!

oneyummymummy · 11/02/2009 09:03

joy are you flatsharing? Sorry, I should keep up...I know you said there was someone next door to you.

Could you not move out and start renting your own place, that way you will have the place to yourselves and enough room when DC does arrive Please ignore me if I am talking rubbish!

bubblebell1 · 11/02/2009 09:16

Morning girls!

hope your all well. joy thats good news. i hope this is your lucky cycle.

no news from me.. still waiting for AF hopefully something will happen soon.

xxxxxxxxxxxxx

BlackCherry · 11/02/2009 11:50

Thanks ladies. I'm so excited but have calmed down from yesterday. Made a gp appointment for next week (I'm in Scotland) and it's really sinking in that I am pregnant. My body is certainly telling me I'm pregnant too which is wonderful and reassuring.
Joy, I remember you saying that about a christmas baby and i really hope it comes true. Bubblebell, i hope af arrives soon, or you get a nice surprise, good luck!

Joy27 · 11/02/2009 13:31

yummy, we own the house. DP's sister is just lodging with us for a few months until summer (I've been a bit elusive about who the "housemate" is thus far, worrying that I could be recognised in RL. But sod it). I think it's the fact that it's his sister on the other side of the wall that squeebs him out! But, you know, needs must and all that!

Blackcherry, a thousand hurrahs, again. How nice to read some positive pregnancy news.

oneyummymummy · 11/02/2009 13:59

Im probably goning to 'out' myself now.....but DD was concieved whilst my DP's sister was lodging with us!ha!

Joy27 · 11/02/2009 15:42

Maybe sisters are a good luck charm then

Antdamm · 11/02/2009 15:56

I tend to agree with you there, when DS was conceived we were living in a flat with DP's 2 sisters.

I think I might them over to stay for a while in Ireland.............

Once I get sorted that is.

Joy27 · 11/02/2009 16:20

Maybe it's all the female hormones in the air!

Josie22 · 12/02/2009 11:21

Well I hope it works for brothers too as I was ovulating (I think!) when dh bro was staying so we had to do some very quiet bd!!

AF due today - no sign yet but my cycle isn't regular...TTC is like one big waiting game.

Bubblebell - any news on AF for you. Fingers crossed.

Blackcherry - that is such great news! Hope it all goes well.

Any news from anyone else?

amyboo · 12/02/2009 11:27

I completely agree that TTC is a big waiting game... OV I think was Tuesday, so have bd'd every day since Saturday. Can't stand the waiting. Another 12 days before I'll know anything. Argh I'm so impatient!

lam81 · 12/02/2009 11:29

Not everyone is on the list, so add yourselves ladies! And do correct any mistakes I've made.

katster37 · 12/02/2009 16:27

Hello ladies!
Sorry I haven't been on for ages. I have just been catching up this afternoon (while supposedly marking endless practice SATs papers!)
Blackcherry wow that is fab news!! Congrats!

Antdamm have you got sorted yet? Or invited your DP's sisters to stay?! Hope you're OK

Joy - are you looking forward to the BD-ing fest?

And a big wave to everyone else!

I am feeling a bit better, emotionally, although still a bit up and down. The CBT seems really good although only had 2 sessions so far.
I am on CD31 today, and usually only 27 day cycle which is bizarre. I am fairly sure I OV-ed on CD20 (according to FF and temps) so I think anxiety delayed it. The good thing is I have exceeded my usually short luteal phase. I have been madly testing, using the ultra sensitive ones, but always BFNs.... So am pretty much resigned to fact that AF will be here soon. But I am just pleased that my luteal phase is a bit longer which is hopefully good for the future. Just adding myself to the list

Joy27 · 12/02/2009 17:03

Katster, hello! It sounds like you have made all the right decisions and are doing really well. Great news about your LP- and who knows? Maybe a BFP in a few days time!
Yes, I am gearing up for the BD fest. Always feel really crappy around af time and far from a sensual love beast. But hopefully when I leave AF behind and we have a nice romantic valentine's weekend (er and maybe if I get round to shaving my legs for the first time since af started!) I'll start to feel a little more attractive.

Oh dear bubble, sorry you are feeling rubbish. Are you doing anything to treat yourself and make yourself feel better?

katster37 · 12/02/2009 17:16

Yes Joy I agree, it is the worst part of the month. You're feeling pis*ed off with AF and have to wait until you can do anything productive. Wow - only 4 days without shaving your legs?! I hardly do mine once I've ovulated!
Sorry you are feeling rubbish, bluebell. Is it flu-ey type symptoms or something else? Try and wrap up warm and hide from the snow... I am looking outside and it is coming down pretty fast now, yuck...

Josie22 · 12/02/2009 18:46

Hello All

Bubblebell - sorry you aren't feeling good and hope you feel better soon.

Lam - I had cramps all last week but nothing since Sunday and I know it sounds silly but I don't feel I could be pregnant. I would love to be wrong though! If AF doesn't show up by Sat then will take hpt then at least if its negative I can have some wine on Valentine's day (teeny weeny silver lining).

Joy - LOL about the shaving. I'm like that too - even worse when it comes to bikini waxing!

Snow covered babydust to you all!

bubblebell1 · 13/02/2009 08:28

Hi girls!!

thanks for the well wishes.. ive got a chest infection but it has really knocked me for six. yesterday i ached everwhere and was having hot sweats feeling a bit better today.

how are you all?

Joy27 · 13/02/2009 14:27

Ack, bubblebell, that sounds hideous, poor you.

I am pretty positive actually. My weird little notion that I'll have a brand new Christmas baby has taken hold in my mind. So we're going to give it our best shot this month, but if we're not successful I'll tell myself it's because I'm getting my xmas baby which will be conceived next month. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. (Now, if I don't conceive next month it'll be a different story.. there will be tears).

Also, most of you know that dp's sis is lodging with us which hampers things a tad bd-wise. Well, we've got the house to ourselves from now (CD5) until CD14 this month. So we'll be able to really go for it. It's great to have dp so on board too. He is very determined.

And finally, ladies, I have an announcement to make: I have shaved my legs.

What news?

Antdamm · 13/02/2009 21:15

Hey ladies,

Still nothing to report here. In 5 days I will officially be 4wks late. Going to phone docs on Monday. Hopefully will be able to get a better idea of what is going on then.

bubblebell sorry to hear you are feeling crap. Hope you feel better soon.

joy good luck on your xmas baby. (unless you get an earlier one)

Josie22 · 14/02/2009 09:21

Well still no af so have just taken a hpt and...bfn! I thought it would be but still felt a bit sad as did dh . I know only 20% of people get pregnant in their first month of trying (think these statistics are made up from my family - all of which seem to be able to get pregnant by just thinking about it) but I was hoping I could be one of them! Oh well..if at first you don't succeed and all that.

Antdamn - hope it all goes well on Monday.

Hope everyone is having a good Valentine's Day!

fairyanne · 15/02/2009 12:14

Hi all,

Hope you all enjoyed Valentine's day, if any day is meant to scatter dust that should be it!

Antdamm - good luck tomorrow

Bubblebell - get well soon

Joy - I have been thinking similar thoughts, and visualising a first christmas with gorgeous little outfits (I think I may need to stop this part as each month so far I have ended up gutted) My brother is also getting married at the end of November so I'm adament that this must be our month so that we can ahve a baby in time for this too, all this positive thinking has to help us at some point....

Josie - I'm keeping everything crossed for you (as no AF yet..) A friend of mine who has had difficuties said that when she did finally hav her children that she appreciated them all the more as they felt like little miracles, whils I have been gutted each month (I'm on cycle 4) I'm trying to think a bit like this and think positively that it will happen eventually when the time is right. I know that we have no real control over these things and I too have felt frustrated upset and angry at times when other friends around me seem to get pg just by looking in the right direction (in addition to parents saying that it happened straight away for them!)but I will definately feel lucky if and when it does finally happen so just believe that it can and will

Hi to everyone else too.

I was also wondering if anyone could help me.. I have been using LH ov tests this month as most of you know and it has been showing positive since cd 9. I'm now on cd17 and its still positive (even stronger positive). I'm feeling very conused as I thought that it was only meant to show a positive for 2 days prior to ovulation??? Is this extended positive normal? I then read that LH could also show ov +ve if pg???? too early to test and sending myself into a tizz.

lam81 · 16/02/2009 10:32

fairyanne when i 1st started using opk's i thought i was getting loads of positives too but then realised i was reading them wrong,a positive result on an opk means that the test line has to be just as dark or darker than the control line, different to pg test where even a feint line is a positive, now i only get 2 sometimes 3 positives a month,if u r reading them properly then sorry if i'm insulting ur intelligence, its just me thats a bit thick in understanding them!!

ant u must be v frustrated, hope u get some news soon!!

i'm battling my way thru fertility friends graphs etc this cycle,i'm a bit confused by whole thing does any1 else use it?i'm such a dumb blonde!

good luck to all x x

Joy27 · 16/02/2009 10:41

antdamn good luck phoning docs today- hope you start to get the answers you need.

fairyanne and Iam81 I admire your commitment with FF and OPKS etc. I find all that stuff a bit daunting, so can't help at all with your questions, I'm afraid.
Do you find that it helps you to do charting etc, or does it make you feel more stressed?
I'm weighing up whether to start.

Josie, sorry about your BFN. Even when you've just started trying, it's always a disappointment, as it's always in your mind: "what if?". Onwards and upwards, it will happen.

Did everyone have a good Valentines weekend? Personally I take it all with a large pinch of salt, but we did have a nice time.

Now just pottering along on CD8, getting in some practice and hoping this month is our month
