hi girls!!

how are you all?

im still feeling ill. cant remember the last time i actually felt this ill.

well i have some good news... i have had a bfp this morn.. it is faint but it came up straight away. i had 1 over the weekend but i also had a -ive too. ive got the drs this afternoon to discuss my bloodtest results from last week so i will talk to her about it. im so happy but dont want to be incase it doesnt stick.. im also being strangely paranoid that my bfp isnt real

Joy27 · 16/02/2009 11:37

Oh my goodness, bubblebell, how did I miss your post?
Hurrah! That is so excellent! I did wonder last week whether your bfp was on its way.
So so pleased for you.

Joy27 · 16/02/2009 11:37

Ah. You posted after me. That's how I missed your post

fairyanne · 16/02/2009 11:42

Wow bubblebell thats fantastic news, congratulations to you both.. and for once illness is a good thing!! It must be real is there any such thing as a false positive, I didn't think that there was??

Iam81, thanks, I have been reading them wrong!! On the packet it said it should be like a pg test (i.e. 2 lines = +ve) but now I come to think of it Sunday the test line was darker than the control and before that it wasn't.

Joy, to be honest although I have been using the OPK we haven't been relying on it and have been covering the whole month (I must admit this is getting wearing now as the months go on). when the OPK didn't show up anything in December I went to the dr stressed so it wasn't helpful but DH is getting inpatient with the whole process so decided to return to them to see when ov was (but he is still frustrated as results as you can see can be confusing) and just wants a BFP (don't we all!!)

and now...I am once again doing what each month I say I won't do.....symptom spotting - feels like a stitch/ cramp that swaps sides??? - hoping its either ov still or implantation (wishful thinking!)....How are you supposed to think about other things when there are symptoms to spot, very annoying.

lam81 · 16/02/2009 12:20

congrats bubble thats great news!!!

joy this is only my 1st month of ff and i quite like it,some people think it is a bit obsessive but all i think about at the mo is ttc so dont think i can get anymore obsessed 2bh,haha!!altho it still hasn't detected my ov this month and i'm cd 19 of a 28/29 day cycle im sure ov'd a few days ago, so this giving me worry which i wouldn't have if i wasn't charting

Rtuff · 16/02/2009 14:06

Hi Everyone

Can i join you all, been TTC for 9 months.... Very frustrating now!!

Thinking about doing the charting now, tried opk's but obviously didn't work for me....

How long has eveyone benn TTC?

x

Joy27 · 16/02/2009 14:25

Hello rtuff, welcome.

We're ttc #1 and have been for 9 months too. Got pregnant immediately after coming off the pill, but sadly it ended in mc last July after 7 weeks.

I'm getting frustrated now too, but haven't tried charting etc. This month decided to bd every other day and keep fingers crossed...

Are you trying for your first baby?

fairyanne · 16/02/2009 14:27

Bubble, any advice in hindsight?

bubblebell1 · 16/02/2009 14:42

Errr....my advice is to do what helps you. i like to obsess. it makes me feel like im doing something to help. i used fertility friend and temped opks etc and until this morn didnt think any of it had worked. infact i didnt think i had even ovulated.

humping regularly helps and i reckon joy has the best plan. BDin every other day should maximise her chances.

Rtuff · 16/02/2009 14:44

Hi Just thought i'd fill in the gaps on my info...
TTC2 CYCLE9 CD29 UCL... Irregular...

With Baby1 i fell pregnant immediately after coming off the pill.... But this time i'm not so lucky!

fairyanne · 16/02/2009 14:47

Thanks, thats what I figured...I'm just not a patient person at all. Have been trying all of the above so I guess now its time to keep everything crossed for the next 10 days+ (and practice the art of patience!)

Rtuff · 16/02/2009 14:49

Congrats Bubble!!

Josie22 · 17/02/2009 10:25

Morning all.

Bubble - Congratulations - you must be so thrilled. I thought when you said you weren't well last week that it could be that. Hope you start feeling better soon so that you can enjoy it properly!

Fairyanne - I am not very patient either and never realised what a big waiting game TTC is...

Am still here in limbo as no af. 2 days late which is wierd as not normally more than 24 day cycle (actually mostly 21). Was wondering if I had been pregnant and then I had a very early mc or something, would that effect my cycle? I had cramping for a week until last Sunday 8th (so it wasn't down to AF) and then it stopped so just wandering if I could have been. I guess I just wait it out. Grrrrr

Anyway, enough of me obsessing. Hope everyone is having good Tuesdays and good luck to all those who are trying this week!

Joy27 · 17/02/2009 13:19

Josie have you done a test since Saturday? Now that you're "officially" late, it could be time to test!

My cycles (since mc) have been between 24 and 31 days, so I tend to spend a least a couple of days a month in the kind of limbo you're in now. It sucks balls.

If you'd had an early mc I'm sure you'd know about it- plus, you would still get a bfp, I'm pretty sure.

Good luck! Keep us posted!

Antdamm · 17/02/2009 17:54

Hey ladies.

Congrats Bubble !!!! - were you on one of your long cycles?

Ladies, I need your help on my maths - Phoned Docs today and got an appointment for thursday, want to be able to tell him how late I am exactly - If my lmp was Dec 20th and my cycle is usually 28days - How late am I? bubblebell1 · 18/02/2009 09:34

thanks joy,

still in limbo really.... rang drs this morn and they have said i have to let nature take its course... what does that mean.

Josie22 · 18/02/2009 10:51

So sorry Bubble. Thinking of you and sending you a hug.

ray81 · 18/02/2009 11:21

so so sorry for you bubble. i know how you feel as had a mc in nov and i hate that limbo feeling as there is always hope that the hormones will pick up and everything will be ok. i realy hope it is ok for you.

i'm feeling much better now i had a small break from the threads and tried to forget about ttc, didnt realy happen and we did bd around ov but then i got glandular fever and i think even if the egg did fertlise my body would have been so ill it just wouldnt inbed.
i have about another week to go until af due but also have a scan on the 25th as they want to check womb etc, secretly hoping that they will find out i am pg but that is just wishful thinking things like that just dont happen to me.

heres hpoing though
