Thanks for all your kind words. I think im just shattered and in pain, so feel even more miserable than normally would! Hopefully get a little more sleep tonight.

Good luck blackcherry fingers crossed it your lucky month.

bubble that sounds horrible, did they still do a scan? I think you can still have AF even if you have got cyst.

angel I hope so!

Excuse me, I have a mouth full of cream cheese

Joy27 · 23/01/2009 09:11

Hope you're feeling a bit brighter today yummymummy Angelfairy I'm ages away from testing. CD14 for me today and my partner has conveniently left on a work trip for the weekend. Ho hum. BD last night so we'll see. However, I haven't had any ewcm whatsoever this week, so I'm not sure I'm even in my fertile period. We'll see.

Am really trying to be more relaxed about the whole thing though. I don't like the thought that I'm becoming a mumzilla!

bubblebell1 · 23/01/2009 09:16

morning all!

how are you yummy hope your feeling better.

still feeling poorly and dh has got it too so he isnt performing as much as before.. im worried as i think im ovulatin now not on cd13 as FF suggested. oh well we will c come the end of the month when AF is due.

VeryKeenForABean · 23/01/2009 11:19

Hi Guys, can I join in? I know I'm late but have been womanfully avoiding ttc threads in an effort for it not to take over my life - hasn't worked!!

I am trying to sit on my hands as AF due Mon and have done a couple of sneaky tests already - I need support!

Any room for a little one? x

BlackCherry · 23/01/2009 12:36

Welcome aboard VeryKeen! You'll find plenty of support here.
How long have you been ttc?

Good luck trying not to test!!

oneyummymummy · 23/01/2009 13:02

Hi verykeen I love your name

I think that you should have to fill out a questionaire at the till, and your only allowed to buy tests if your AF is actually late. But then again, that would spoil all my fun!

Joy27 · 23/01/2009 13:24

Hello verykeen welcome- there is room for a little one here- in fact lots and lots of little ones, when we all get knocked up. Which we will goddamit! We've already had some successes, hurrah.

bubblebell it sounds like you have BD-ed plenty. We've only managed it on CD2,4,8,10 and 13 (not focusing only on fertile period as I want us to have sex for enjoyment not just making babies!). Next week we'll probably up the total a couple more times.

This next part is a bit : We also did it on CD9 and 11, in an attempt to ignore the fact that our housemate (a very close relative of his) is on the other side of a thin wall- normally we don't BD when housemate is there- which is 4-5 nights a week so not much fun at all!

But, ehhhh, both times he, er, found he couldn't, well, finish, as the thought was making him feel a bit iffy. So that was fun was pointless ttc-wise.

So my rather tmi point is that I too don't reckon we've done enough this month. But am much comforted by the story of a lady on here (gah, can't recall name off top of head), who bd-ed once during fertile time as she and her dp were both ill... and got a bfp.

There's hope for us all!

yummymummy what a horrid time you are having. Hope you get your dratted af soon so you can start afresh- or even better, get preggers before af has a chance!

Joy27 · 23/01/2009 13:25

I meant to say
So that was fun but pointless ttc-wise*

VeryKeenForABean · 23/01/2009 15:09

Thanks everyone - I feel all welcomed!

For those that don't know me from previous threads, I am ttc after an ectopic last year that was treated with methotrexate. That's why I put ttc #2 even though I have no dcs. Have had the all clear to try again so we are giving it our all! Hopefully this thread will be lucky for all of us!

OYM - it doesn't help that I bought 20 tests on line, at least when they were expensive I had that putting me off!

I am going to try not to test over the weekend and reward myself with one on Mon if AF hasn't come to stay. Thank you for the support

Best extra sparkly baby dust to all x

Well good afternoon lovely ladies...

I have been spoiling myself on a (already hidden bags from boyf) shopping spree in Harrogate! Whoop, whoop!
Sssshhhhhh........,

Welcome Verykeen!
Good luck on our VERY successful thread.

Yummy... SO glad you're feeling better. Hopefully the antibi's will kick your cycle into rhythm and you'll be all brand new and sparkly x

Bubble... Wallop! There's my reality check ;) You can't seriously be worried about BDing enough - you put my bedtime activity to shame! Ha...
I haven't felt like it to be honest, but as soon as AF came Bam!
You're going to be fine chickadee, just see x

Joy... Is you DH coming back Sun or Mon? I hope you're going to jump on him as he walks in!

Anyway, I'm off to hide receipts (joke). Much love x

Oh, I wasn't really eating cream cheese at a ridiculous hour, that would make me a fat pig...

Joy27 · 23/01/2009 17:06

Angelfairy- go girl with your shopping spree. What an excellent way to banish af blues. What did you buy?

When my boyf (not married) gets home I won't be able to jump his bones as our beloved but ttc-hindering weekday housemate (his family member which explains the ick factor) will be home and believe me our house is so small, it's virtually impossible to do anything, let alone THAT, without her hearing (and the neighbours, but I don't really care about that, they're always arguing anyway and have to listen to that).

However the housemate does go out once or twice during the week, at which point I will barricade him in the bedroom. Ha.

I have to say, I do find that ttc brings us closer together as a couple. You know what they say, when you do it more you want it more.. Certainly true for me! Er, tmi. But there it is!

bubblebell1 · 23/01/2009 18:36

joy i know who you mean.. she was on the last thread.. but cant remember her name

angel thanks for the reality check and so jealous of your shopping spree.. we r so skint since xmas and its ds2s bday 2 wks today so saving for his pressies and party.

welcome VKFAB

Hi guys,
hope everyone is having a nice relaxing but productive weekend!! hiya to verykeen, have u managed to resist testing? i am so desperate for it to be wed/thurs so i can test, altho got some ebay cheapies that i'l probably have afew wee fly tests before then, whats the best for testing early anyone know??dont want to use clear blue digital one as i used that when i found out about last pgncy (which ended in mc) so am a bit superstitious that way have bad memories of them, mad i know!!

bady dust and positive thoughts to everyone!! x

oneyummymummy · 25/01/2009 01:03

Hi everyone! Hope your all having good weekends! Anyone else tested??

Still no AF for me

lam I think clear blue are the best...sorry! Im sure really they are all as good as each other, but when I was PG the EPDU would only accept me if I had a CB +tive test. And they do seem to be the most reliable as I done two tests that morning with a different one and they were -tive then in the afternoon done a CB one and it was +tive (literally about 5hours later) I think first response are supposed to be good too, but havnt used them personally myself!

Good luck x

bubblebell1 · 25/01/2009 09:03

Hey all!!

1YM i hope af arrives soon. its a pain when your cycle goes haywire. especially when ttc.

lam i used first response with ds2 they were good. ive got some normal clear blues in the draw for me to use next monday . if i last that long

hope your all well and that the BFPs soon start rolling in

katster37 · 25/01/2009 10:30

Hello ladies - sorry I have been AWOL for a little while. I need to catch up properly on the thread so I know what you've all been up to!
I am not sure what to do at the minute as I finally went to the Dr about how sad and panicky I have been feeling (all to do with work, I think, but everything sets me off) and she has prescribed me beta blockers as my heart is racing with adrenaline the whole time, and citalopram anti-depressants. The prb is, you need to take them for atleast 6 months and you absolutely cannot take when pg, according to her. I told her I wasn't happy with this (I don't really want to take them anyway, but I don't want to put off TTC for what will probably be a year as you can't just stop them suddenly) and she said I needed to get myself sorted before I start having babies . The thing is, I don't think pills are necessarily a way to get sorted, and also, I think I will always be an anxious person. Does anyone have any advice?! I am going to pay privately for CBT as I have heard v good things about this and there is a 6 month wait on the NHS.
DH is away skiing until Thursday night anyway, and I think I will OV next Fri. Help!!

Joy27 · 25/01/2009 10:53

Oh Katser, I really feel for you. I have had clinical depression in the past and have always made the personal decision not take drugs- but of course it is your choice. Don't feel pressured to take (or not take) them.

If I were you I'd ask myself two questions:

  1. Do I feel able to cope with being pregnant and having a new baby in my current emotional/mental state? If not then I'd think about postponing ttc for a while and work on feeling better- with or without drugs.
  1. Conversely, is not ttc and postponing the prospect of having a baby going to make my feelings worse? Personally I would feel very at the thought of not trying for a baby right now.

Either way, if you feel uncomfortable about taking drugs, you should get your GP to refer you to your local NHS mental health team. I recovered with the help of a fab psychiatric nurse and some practical, non-medicinal approaches to my depression.

If it were me I would also probably skip the ttc-ing this month in order to give myself time to think. However, I appreciate that's easier said than done when you've got baby fever!

Apologies for rather bossy sounding oar-sticking, but hope it helps a bit.

Good luck whatever you decide.

oneyummymummy · 25/01/2009 20:35

kaster So sorry for the way you are feeling! I too was prescribed Citlopram after DD for PND (which was later found out to be Post Traumatic Stress, not PND) they told me that they take 3weeks to build up in your system and gave me a month suppy. I never went back and just stopped taking them.

Now, please don't think that im telling you this so that you do it too, but I am a very strong minded, independant person, and I felt WORSE for taking drugs to help me IYKWIM. I wanted to know that it was ME beating the feelings not a drug. I went against what they said and In was fine.......however what did help tremendously was going to see a Private counsellor, she specialised in PTSD and was brilliant, thats how I found out what was going on with me, and she helped me learn ways to deal with how i was feeling and ways to get aroung the anxiety attacks!

It completely depends on the person and some people are on AD for years and feel brilliant for doing so but others do not, and as joy says it depends on how taking these drugs is going to make you feel! They may not nessesarily make you feel better if it is REALLY not what you want to do!

I really hope you start feeling better soon! But i would definatly recommend a P.councellor, or NHS one, as they 'somehow' without saying much, help you to realise why you feel the way you do and can give great advice to help you change the way you feel. I think ultimatly you need to do what makes YOU feel better about yourself, taking the drugs or help doesnt make you weak, infact it makes you stronger for realising that you need a little help!

oneyummymummy · 25/01/2009 20:39

Sorry, that was a bit of a rambling mess, but I hope you can get my point! And am VERY sorry for my SPELLING

Sending lots of hugs your way until DH gets home!
