I'm 23 and hoping to try for a baby from next month.

Anyone else?

Hi antdamm I think it depends on how DP will take it! Will he be really excited on then be disappointed if BFN, or if he would just buy it for you and wait for the result? Do you do shopping online? Maybe you could do a food order and include it on your list? Im not sure wether you can buy P.tests online ordering or not, but worth a go maybe?

I hope that all made sense, typing fast as DD woke up!

Antdamm · 21/01/2009 12:47

Hi oneyummymummy at this present moment in time I live in the Republic of Ireland and I dont normally shop here as it is too expensive. So would normally wait til weekend so we can shop in Northern Ireland and go to ASDA.
As for DP, i think he would be rather disappointed so I wouldnt want to set him up for a fall.

Joy27 · 21/01/2009 13:48

Hello Antdamm. If I were you I would wait until Saturday. I really got my hopes up last month. My period was 4 days late, but it did arrive. I reckon having a virus before Christmas delayes things for me.
Anyway, I was glad I hadn't tested in the end. I'm not meaning to piss on your strawberries, you understand. It's quite possible you are pg, but if you are then you still will be on sat (and if you test now it might even be neg as it's so early, even if you are pg). I believe in minimising the risk of disappointment.
Also if money's tight then you might kick yourself for forking out a tenner if the test's negative.

Now, I know there are ladies on this board who are mad for testing, so I'm sure you'll get different advice from others!

Thanks for the advice on the BD marathon yummy and angel. I really have no idea when I ov (have had ewcm at the maddest of times eg CD8 or CD23, and sometimes not at all), so I think I'm going to try to stop doing sums and focus on making time for some business time (waggles eyebrows) 2-3 times a week.

Shall we start one of those lists again? I have totally lost track of who's here, so I'll just start one, then you can all cut and paste and add your names:

Joy27- ttc#1 - CD12- cycle 6 since mc

Er not sure why that didn't appear in bold, will try again:

bubblebell ttc#3 CD18 cycle 2

Antdamm · 21/01/2009 13:57

Thanks Joy, I think I will definitely wait til Saturday. Until then I shall keep lurking and try not to symptom spot stupid things

oneyummymummy · 21/01/2009 14:09

oneyummymummy · 21/01/2009 17:55

Infact ive just worked out I must be CD40 or more! Still having little twinges, done another test (I know...I should wait a few days) CB one this time, but it is still negative! I just dont understand all this, but am def. not PG!

had EWCM at on first day of the month, so surly this means ive ov'ed??

AngelFairy · 21/01/2009 18:53

Yummy... That's a long cycle, you must be pulling your hair out! Keep smiling x

Whats UCL? Am I just being really silly?

I am pulling my hair out, but another BFN for me, so theres no way I can be PG!

AngelFairy · 21/01/2009 21:23

UCL = Usual Cycle Length

Thanks for adding me x

oneyummymummy · 21/01/2009 21:40

Oh my god, shoot me now! UCL....of course!

oneyummymummy · 22/01/2009 08:13

Well still no AF, but I have a doctors app. Ive had this pain on one side for a few days now, and last night I just hardly slept, my pelvis is hurting so much, so my back hurts aswell. The pain inside my pelvis on the left, just hurt too much! Ive googled it, and wish I hadnt! Im hoping its just a water infection or something, but pretty sure its not! My bones just ache and hurt all around my back, pelvis and legs! Ive also got a very high temperature! Im hoping the pain isnt from an eptopic (they thought last PG was eptopic because I had a similar pain on one side) but Im sure PG test would have come back positive if that was the case!

Anyway this is turning ito a me, me, me post! How is everyone else today? Anymore BFP?

sammysam · 22/01/2009 08:16

Yummy-I hope everything goes well at the appt-try not to worry. What time is it? x x x

AngelFairy · 22/01/2009 09:25

No, no, no! I posted a comment and it's not showing! That's rubbish.

I'll try again:
Yummy... I'm sending you some cuddles hun. I hope you're only experience pos+ growing twangs. Good luck for the appt x

I'm feeling quite good considering I ate a lardy portion of fish&chips. I then took a lovely (chocolate substitute) bubble bath, read my book and then my handsome boyf sneaked around the house this morning to let me lie in, bless x

It's blowing a gale up here today. My cats, looking like they've just stepped out of a carwash, have just begged to come back in!

How's everyone else today?

oneyummymummy · 22/01/2009 09:37

hi ladies not posted for a while, have still been reading tho,

hi to all the new people, good luck to u all and
good luck at docs yummy!

got exactly 7 days until af is due and am finding it almost impossible to think about anything else except testing, am desperate to feel some symptoms but, nothing as yet, except being mega constipated (sorry tmi) driving myself mad!!

anyone else due to test soon?? xx

dancingqueeen · 22/01/2009 11:34

me too lam81, my UCL is about 31 days, trying to be restrained and hold of testing till saturday so I don't waste my one remaining stick, but not sure I'll manage! not holding out much hope really, got absolutely no symptoms (although on other hand not had any premenstrual symptoms either), and more to the point had a stressful month and dh been away, so not got as much BD in as would have liked.

been away from thread a while as felt i needed a break from thinking about ttc (wasn't v succesful though!), looking down I see there's been a few BFP's - congrats!

oneyummymummy · 22/01/2009 11:36

Got back from docs, she said a possibility of a burst ovarian cyst, but shes not sure as could be a bladder infection. I think that ive got both, the backache and pelvis pain is probably the infection and the stbbing pain i had inside my pelvis was something different. Any how I have some antibiotics now, so I will take them and see. The niggly pain ive been talking about was obviously a cyst (it did feel like ovulation pain, and similar to when i was first PG with DD on one side) Then last night it obviously got worse.

She also did a Pg test too just to be sure and it was -tive, so no chance im PG, just got to wait for AF now! I obviously didnt o this month either Why do these things only happen when you are TTC?! If it doesnt get better they may have to operate (possibly remove whole ovary)

dancingqueeen · 22/01/2009 11:45

oneyummymummy, i'm so sorry to hear that, keeping my fingers crossed for you that it is just a bladder infection, in which case hopefully the antibiotics will make you feel more comfortable quite soon. she did just say a possibility of a cyst, so it might not be, I know its easier said than done but try not to get too upset about the 'worst case scenario', because often it doesn't turn out that way (i know, i have twice worried when the doc said i 'might' have something nasty and it turned out to be fine). anyway, I hope they get to the bottom of it and start to make you feel more comfortable soon

bubblebell1 · 22/01/2009 12:08

oneyummy my last cycle was 68 days... but new years eve i got the most horrific pains in my lower abdomen.. it felt like stabin pains in my uterus. i was taken to hosp and given pain meds told to have scan when dept opened after the newyear break and low and behold... on the 4th jan AF arrived!! they too suspected an ovarian cyst or ectopic but as AF arrived i put it down to bad period pains. i hope you get some closure soon.. even if af arrives you can get started on next month

Joy27 · 22/01/2009 13:32

oneyummymummy hang on in there. Surgery is worst worst case scenario here. As bubblebell says, the doctor didn't give you any definites. Can totally understand how fed up and you feel though. I think you deserve a massively treaty weekend: shopping spree or lovely dinner out with bubbly wine, or if you're credit crunching, a dinner cooked by your partner, a massage and a lovely long bath or five.

Hugs

AngelFairy · 22/01/2009 13:50

Big hugs Yummy.... There's obviously a rather special baby being created for you, which needs a little extra time. This is just a stalling method I reckon x

Oh oneyummy I hope things turn around for you soon. It sounds so frustrating.

As for me, I'm coming up to estimated ov time and bd'd for first time this month last night.
I haven't been temping or anything just noticing (or trying to notice) my cm and I used an ovaluation calculator. This one www.baby2see.com/planner/index.html Don't know how accurate these things are but fingers crossed.
