Hi everyone can i join you?

I am 27 and have been TTC for 5 years. I had a Mc 2 months ago that was my 3rd in the 5 years so have an appointment with a consultant on the 5th Feb to find out why i keep losing when i eventualy do fall.
I am finding it extremely hard to get over the mc this time and also finding it very hard not to feel bitter against Pg women, all i can keep thinking is that i should be 14 weeks now and how it is so unfair.

I am on CD25 and have had Af cramps since CD21 which is very unusal for me as i normally have a 35 day cycle and start getting af cramps around CD33-34. I had a normal cycle after Mc so am abit miffed this month as to why my body is starting to play tricks on me again.

I have a sister that is Pg and another sister that has had 3 babies since i have been trying, i have 3 friends that are Pg 2 with the 2 DCs and one with her 6th dc, i also have a cousin that is Pg. I feel like life is giving me a big slap in the face at the moment. Looking for moral support is thats ok.

sorry to rant its amazing what you tell people you dont even know isnt it.

littlemiss26 · 20/01/2009 13:19

ray thats so unfair that all thats happened to you. but, at least you have the consultants appointment to 'look forward to' now. It must feel a bit of a relief that they are finally going to look into your situation and they might find the answer for you! your only 27, time is definately on your side!

yummy if there is even a little bit of doubt it may stiill be to early for a BFP on a test. keep those fingers crossed you never know!!

i'm feeling quite down about the ttc thing today. I;ve been checking cm for weeks and doing opks. I've had two ovulation attempts this month and have had creamy cm for almost three weeks now - is anyone else checking this way? is it likely to mean my body is trying to ovulate?? did preg test but was bfn - not even a tinniest shadow of a line

ray81 · 20/01/2009 13:28

Littlemiss i must say that i am not realy looking forward to the appointment to be honest, we have had loads of other tests re the infertility thing and there is nothing wrong with either of us i have a perfectly healty womb and Ovarys and DH has a high sperm count with very good mobility etc etc so there is no explanation and i just know that when they do all the tests re the Mcs they aqre going to tell us that there is nothing wrong at all and we will be back to square one again. This ttc thing is a bitch.

Have you not has a +ive on the opks? sometimes they can be wrong unfortunatley.
How long are your cycles? i find that i get the creamy Cm around Ov but then again when Af is due the trick is to know you body if you can? How long have you been TTC ing?

oneyummymummy · 20/01/2009 14:03

Ok well ive been looking out for the (TMI alert) streachy CM, another thread said this was ovulation?? Im so confused about all these things...I have no idea how I got PG first time, if its this hard?! Infact I dont know how anyone gets PG if its this hard!

ray WELCOME! Sorry to hear about the MC's and unexplained infertility...hope it sorts its self out soon, this thread seems to be lucky so fingers crossed for you. Sometimes it does feel like you know EVERY PG woman in the world when you are TTC!

sammysam · 20/01/2009 14:55

My goodness-there have been a few posts this morning!!!
Angel-test!!
Yummy-don't give up hope yet!
Ray-welcome. I'm so sorry to hear about your mc's. I really hope you get some answers you need from the specialist.

To anyone having trouble knowing about cm etc I would really recommend Fertility Friend-it really is good and does explain EVERYTHING-I was a bit sceptical at first but it has been a lifeline over the last 4 months i've been using it
Here it is -the lessons they email you are very good-if our printer had worked I'd have printed them off and read them more thoroughly

Thanks all for the advice-you are all right-I'll try and leave it till the weekend to tell my sis if i can...
they both in no way will be able to keep it to themselves-they can't keep ANY secrets at all!!! I'm very different from them so find this very hard to deal with This is why i don't want to tell them They will both be over the moon but within a few hours at least 5 people will know....if not more

Good luck ladies x x x

sammysam · 20/01/2009 16:16

boob I'm still lurking here as i'm still in denial and because of that I'm far far to scared to start a Due Oct 09 thread . I'm symtoms galore at the mo...that should really help me to realise-but I think i've read too many bad threads etc -maybe i should switch off the internet and not turn it on ever again!!

oneyummymummy · 20/01/2009 16:19

Please do stay....I want to know how your all getting on too! Its a little ray of hope for us still waiting....it does happen to us all!

irishmumwannabe · 20/01/2009 17:21

Hi Everyone,

I haven't been on in absolutely ages - had visitors over for the weekend since Thursday and work has been a mare so...here I am now.

Hello to everyone who has joined since my last post and well done and congratulations to all the BFPs - that's the best thing about MN - you get to see the positive side as well as the negative of ttc and it spurs you on further doesn't it?

Sammysam - everyone else has said it but I hoep when you tell your mum and sis that they respect your wishes re keeping it quiet.

Well I am in the BD marathon now - we have already bd twice this month and I'm only on day 9. Hopefully the next 3 weeks will go quickly and I'll have a BFP at the end of it. DH is all on for every day but we'll see how tired he gets in the next few

bnob I'm so happy for you
bubble hope you went back to bed and don't feel so bad soon.

Angel - you shoudl test..test...test! I'm dying to know what's happening.

oneyummymummy hope FF gives you all you need to know I think it's great.

Anyway better go before this post takes up half the page - fingers crossed for all testers and good luck to those on the 2ww. To my fellow BD marathoners, lots of bananas and carbs for stamina!

irishmumwannabe · 20/01/2009 17:22

OMg I'm so sorry obviously that should read boob [blush} (and I thought I was doing so well. )

bubblebell1 · 20/01/2009 18:41

hi irish! glad to see your back and welcome to ray angel have you tested yet?

im feeling a bit better now.so came down to make dinner and seduce dh. dont wanna stop bding incase i didnt ov and im going to in the near future.. [paranoid emotion] i reckon i will be like this til i get a bfp.

i know it sounds daft but i still dont feel any different. am i supposed to if ive ovulated??

oneyummymummy · 20/01/2009 19:08

sammy I joined FF but am so confused...the website isnt very user friendly, I cant seem to make head or tails of it!

Yes angel have you tested yet???

bubblebell1 · 20/01/2009 19:12

i am on ff too....

i found it confusing at first... but if read thru everything and just take it 1 step at a time im sure it will all become clearer....

i can try and help if you like?

oneyummymummy · 20/01/2009 19:35

Oh yes, that would be lovely! Well Im trying to look up CM and other ovulation related 'signs' so that I can look out for them, but I cant find any 'info' on the website, just areas to plot activity( which will start today). And every page I seem to go on says 'only for VIP members'. I dont know if im being a total idiot orr whether it is just confusing?! [confused emotion]

oneyummymummy · 20/01/2009 19:47

Im sure by my CM I should have AF by now! But as Im new to all this CM and temperature stuff Im not sure if im looking at it right (the charts and stuff not the CM ) But with TWO BFN I just dont understand! Maybe I didnt OV?! (confused emotion AGAIN)

AngelFairy · 20/01/2009 19:52

Irish... Welcome back.! Good luck with the stamina.

Boob... What made you cry?

Bubble... How you feeling?

Sammy... Shout it from the roof tops and keep affirming it. Dear God, you're pregnant! Ha ha x

Ray... Welcome hun. So sorry about your situation, I hope you find some happiness in our crazy threads. It keeps me sane x

Update:
I've not tested. I went to Starbucks to meet my boyf for lunch and during my toilet visit I notice more AF signs, but confused as it's very strange in it's arrival and appearance.
I have twinges, but not cramps. I'm not bloated like I usually am, and feel 'normal' (not mardy).
I think I will give it until tomorrow seeing as I'm only due today.

littlemiss26 · 20/01/2009 20:21

blimey you lot have loads of chatting time! i had to get DS from childminders, feed him and get him to bed - in the meantime hundreds of post

Sammy - it take a while to sink in when your pregnant, but hopefully it will start to feel real (before you start chucking up )

Ray - Thats rubbish about the tests, i didn't realise you had already gone through them. It must be so frustrating for them not to find a reason, but then again i guess that means it can still happen at some point. my experience with the opks and cm is all over the place due to my mmc a month ago - hopefully it won't continue for much longer

yummy - i joined FF and they send you email lessons everyday! i've been a good girl and read them all - now on lesson 11 (i hope there aren't many more though, getting info overload!)

Angel - good luck for tommorrow, hope AF stays away and a BFP arrives

right off to do a Tesco order!! keep BDing everyone

sammysam · 20/01/2009 22:04

Yummy I was also very confused-everyone kept telling me it was great and I just didn't get it!!! In the end I did join and also started temping and it was in the daily emails that they send that i read all about cm etc-I also think that you can look at the free online course bit and it's the emails all in one place....

Very tired so off to bed...Thank you to everyone for your lovely posts and good luck i'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone.....(and me-I can't help it!)

theboob · 21/01/2009 00:15

the thing that made me cry was my college tutor asking me to correct some mistakes on my assingment
I point blank refused burst into tears ,you should have seen his face i then realised i did not know why i was crying and started laughing lol my personal tutor had to tell him i was pg so i could be exempt from any experiments that could put myself in any danger
yummy it took me a while to get the hang of FF but i got it in the end
bubble ,glad your feeling better, and good luck to everyone bding and 2ww
I have also had digital conformation tonight and it was comforting to see the words
take care xx

AngelFairy · 21/01/2009 09:06

Ok... My lady friend arrived last night, so I'm sat drinking a huge mug of coffee and wondering why she would be cruel enough to give me symptoms for 2wks? She's harsh!

Boob... How very exciting. So pleased for you! I'd have loved to have seen your tutor's face - Ha!

How's everyone else today?

Joy27 · 21/01/2009 09:18

Oh no Angel, what a disappointment. Have wine and lots of it (maybe wait until this evening though eh?)

Welcome to the newcomers- Ray I'm sorry to hear about all your heartache over ttc.

I'm fine, should be in middle of marathon, though not managing to BD as much as is needed thanks to reasons beyond our control.
Never mind, since he's away for the middle of my cycle this weekend I have sort of written off this month anyway.

Though I do have a question: if we BD on CD8,10, 13 and 16 is there a chance that would "cover things" (assuming I ov within that time)? Obviously haven't written off this month completely have I...?

oneyummymummy · 21/01/2009 11:08

angel oh no, sorry to hear that. Definatly have some vino!!

joy from what I believe sperm can live for up to five-six days in the womb, so I think it would cover it, but best to wait and hear what some of the others say, as im new to this ttc stuff! GOOD LUCK!

AngelFairy · 21/01/2009 11:45

Thanks Joy, Yummy. A bottle of wine might just find it's way into my hand x

Joy... From my research, sperm can live upto 5 days, but only in the clear egg white cervical mucus (ewcm). It can survive in other types too but not as long. Also, if you ov'd during your bd marathon you'll be fine.
I hope you get the right result!

Now I'm off to get my hair done!

Antdamm · 21/01/2009 12:22

hi all,

I have been lurking a bit reading all your posts. I am 23, I have a 3.5yr old son and have been ttc for only a wee bit.
AF was due yesterday - but been feeling quite windy and having a bit of problem with getting to sleep at nite and waking up in the morning [lazy emoticon]
Didnt have any symptoms with last pregnancy until about 14wks, so dont really know wat to make of it.
Havent been able to get to shop to buy a hpt as my DS is poorly. I havent said anything to DP yet as I think Im jumping the gun a bit. Rushing in head first. Do you think i should tell DP im late and get him to run out and buy a test or should i wait til Saturday wen I can buy a test in private, so not to get DP's hopes up???

Sorry for long post
