Tania. Will you have a early scan then to get exact dates????

Harrizeb · 14/03/2005 12:48

Afternoon ladies,

Goodness this is a busy thread!
Munnzieb - Happy Birthday for Sunday hope you had a lovely lovely day.
congratulations to CP3 and Diege this threads first graduates
Expat thanks for the offer of chocolate but wouldn't dream of depriving you, today of all days .

Still lurking quietly, my stats
Me 33
DH 31
DS 21mths
TTC no2 (in a couple of months) just charting cycle at the mo as have no idea. Currently on CD 8 after a v short and pain free AF, have Endo and DS was a lovely surprise so have no clue with TTC stuff.
In a bit of a stew today a lovely lass we met through anti natal classes has told me she is 12 weeks pg chuffed to bits for her but also a little bit - want it to be our turn now please - have said we'd wait until another friend had her baby as it's her first and she's already m/c couldn't bear to be pg if she m/c carried again. Also have untreated self diagnosed PND so not sure it's sensible to be going down this road just yet, but at the back of my mind I'm getting to the want one regardless of all the 'sensible' plan and organise it bits. Sorry for the ramble just all getting a bit too much for my mushy brain to hold :-).

Harrizeb · 14/03/2005 12:51

Tania congratulations fingers crossed until your blood test, feet up and lots of taking it easy for the next 9mths :-).

cp3 · 14/03/2005 13:00

Harrizeb, preganancy hormones can even out your pnd hormones, iyswim. Thats what my doc told me anyway as ive had to come off my pills.

Diege · 14/03/2005 13:14

Expat - do I wait to receive an e-mail from you now? (ooh, it's like a date)!

Diege · 14/03/2005 13:19

Harrizeb,
Don't worry about the ramble. Went through same thing myself with 'borderline' self-treated PND after DD no.2. Sounds like you are taking everyone else's feeling into account but you own. I'm sure your friends would want you to do what's best for you, but I know it's hard. Had a similar thing myself when sister miscarried after 3rd attempt at IVF and I'd just had BFP - not knowing when to tell etc. Hold on in there!

HandbagAddiction · 14/03/2005 13:21

Hello! Time to join up I think - will be TTC #2 very soon. Just missed out last month as dh was away for an entire week right when he was needed. dd is now 18 months old and I'm desparate to have another one....been broody for months.

Was very lucky with dd as it only took 2 attempts but I know that means nothing in terms of suceeding with the second. Intend to use OPKs though - haven't got the patience for temp charting.....

Looking forward to sharing good news with you all....

HandbagAddiction · 14/03/2005 15:02

Oh no - have I killed your thread??

expatinscotland · 14/03/2005 15:11

diege
you should have received an email from my personal account. let me know if not so i can 'contact another talker' again!

Diege · 14/03/2005 16:18

Expat - no, I havn't received an e-mail yet. I could try to send out one if you have no luck? Am leaving work soon (no computer at home - very naughty, will get sacked soon no doubt!)so don't panic if you don't hear back from me until tommorrow morning. Will get it packed and ready to send!
Hi Handbag, and welcome! All the best with no.2 - I'm sure yours will be a short visit (in the nicest possible way!).

munnzieb · 14/03/2005 17:51

handbag - don't worry about it the thread goes mad in the morning and quiet in the afternoons! lol.

HB - don't worry about it either we all come on herre for a good old rant and moan so we all know exactly were ur coming from! lol

changed back cos I couldn't be arsed with the otehr one anymore!

katierocket · 14/03/2005 17:54

hello all
sorry to be a needy, "help me" kind of a gal but if anyone could offer me some help I'd be eternally grateful. So confused.

Been TTC for 9 months, cycle is 28 days. Never really had postive OV test using OPKs, only get a small amount of EWCM around CD 9/10. Went to GP and had 21 day hormone test to check I was oving. Test was fine - all normal. Anyway but have just started using persona and today have got the OV symbol - but it's day 21 (of 28 day cycle remember). So could I be oving late? Could anything else cause it to give me the OV symbol this late in cycle? If I am oving late what can they do about it? (as I think I'm right in saying that you can't get pregnant if you're oving late. Or does it not matter anyway?

Heeeeeeellllllppppppp!

Hulababy · 14/03/2005 17:54

Good luck with the TTC HandbagAddiction

OPK result today was hard to call. There were two lines, but I am not sure that the T line was quite as dark as the C line, so will have to test again tomorrow I guess.

Hulababy · 14/03/2005 17:55

moschops - great to hear the pg is going well

munnzieb · 14/03/2005 18:00

r u sure ur not PG KR? only the hormone tests r ment to be done a week after OV/B4 AF so I would assume the hormones wouldn't be 'normal' for post ovulation they would be low iycwim? can u ring ur doctor and have a chat is probably be the best thing I think. doesn't stress also delay it? - i'm sure i've read that

katierocket · 14/03/2005 18:53

thanks munnzie (and hulababy on my other thread about this dull topic!)
think i will have to speak to GP. I had the 21 day test at the GP last month not this month. I honestly never thought TTC would be such a palaver.

expatinscotland · 14/03/2005 21:19

MEGA crampy here, folks. B/c there is no ovulation, however, my periods are quite short, so I'm knuclking through. The entire thing usually only lasts about 3 days.

Katie, might want to google 'luteal phase defect' and see what you get. In some women with this condition, prescribed progesterone can lengthen their luteal phase (the time between ovulation and menstruation), thereby allowing them to conceive.

So, CD1 here.

I was doing fine, then DD started cuddling her doll and giving it kisses. I thought about how much she'd love a sibling - she so loves other children - and ladies, it was really hard. I cried.

I hope we all get BFPs soon, but in the meantime, I'm really grateful you ladies are here for support.

Hulababy · 14/03/2005 21:20

about AF expat

expatinscotland · 14/03/2005 21:24

Just wish I could O on my own, Hula. Then at least there'd be a chance. My DD and DH. They'd both be so happy. Well, I would be, too. But I feel so sad about it now. Perhaps I shouldn't have drunk that extra glass of wine tonight at dinner. Just to hear her cry 'baby' and hold her doll.

Hulababy · 14/03/2005 21:25

Oh I am so sorry expat; it must be hard. Let's hope something works out for us all very soon, eh?

HUNKERMUNKER · 14/03/2005 21:26

Diege and Tania, CONGRATULATIONS!

Munnzie, happy birthday for yesterday, hun!

Haven't really read the thread properly - hope everyone's well and happy and looking forward to spring being here any minute now (surely?!!).

Harrizeb · 14/03/2005 23:12

Thanks for listening to my ramble earlier and not laughing me off the thread, silly mushed up brain not really thinking properly. Can't believe how addictive this is, I hope to goodness they don't track how long your on the internet at work or I'll be getting the sack in super quick time! and DS is sicken for something and has been up already this evening and I'm still sat in front of the 'puter all by myself, instead of being in bed.

Hope things work out for you very soon expat, it's so hard to be +ve all the time - sending positive waves your way. hugs
