Hey girls, feeling crappy again. my clients keep going on about me having a baby, not that they know I'm TTC but just think I shoud have one. I keep putting them off and saying non-commital things but I keep wanting to say, "I'm bloody trying so shut up!"

Dh still has his hopes up that we're pregnant as well which makes me feel guilty that I'm not. Still haven't come on but think it's more likely that the throbbing boobs last week meant I was ov later than usual. I'll feel better when I get the persona monitor and I can test when I ov. Getting crampy feelings but apart from that nothing. It's bad enough getting BFN but not coming on and now being CD40 and no sign of Af either, very confusing and I feel like giving up now.

Sorry just wanting to get it off my chest, don't mean to be a misery.

sparkly · 15/03/2005 08:11

Expat, sorry to hear how you're feeling. This is so bloody hard sometimes. Thinking of you and hope you feel a bit better today.

Popad, this is the place to say how you feel so don't apologise for it. I think of what some of my posts over the last 3 weeks must have been like but everyone has been so supportive. Have no real advice to offer - my body seems to be as messed up as anyone's - but at least you've got us and we at least understand. Big hugs to you today.

katierocket · 15/03/2005 08:39

oh expat, so sorry to hear you feel crap. It really is so draining isn't it. I'm sure it'll happen for us all soon. The other day my DS (3.7) said he would like a brother

are you going for the acupuncture? I have another session tomorrow so will see if he has any ideas when ov seemed to show up today and yesterday (day 21&22)

katierocket · 15/03/2005 08:42

pop you're not being a misery - we all feel down sometimes, this TTC business is very difficult.

remind me - what is the normal length of your cycle?

munnzieb · 15/03/2005 08:59

ES - big huggles hon!! ((((((huggles)))))) is there anything you can do to help natrual OV occur? it will happen hon, we'll get there, I know it's hard but try to keep ur pecker up, it will be well worth the wait. in the mean while I recommend copious amounts of choc! lol

Pop - r u def sure u're not PG? if u r sure then ((((((hugs))))) for you as well. just tell those clients when u're good and ready u'll start the bal rolling in ur own time!

HB - we'd never laugh someone off our thread, u're more then welcome, god know's we all need the support and at least we all know something how each other's feeling (well a bit more than the DH/P's do given how we're all girls together!)

I think as we're all feeling a bit down a joke is in order so i'll have a look at my like stock of them and see what I can dig out!

munnzieb · 15/03/2005 09:04

right then here goes, for a bit of light entertainment!

Girls night out
Two women friends had gone out for a Girls Night Out, and had been decidedly over-enthusiastic on the cocktails. Incredibly drunk and walking home they suddenly realized they both needed to pee. They were very near a graveyard and one of them suggested they do their business behind a headstone or something. The first woman had nothing to wipe with so she took off her panties, used them and threw them away. Her friend however was wearing an expensive underwear set and didn't want to ruin hers, but was lucky enough to salvage a large ribbon from a wreath that was on a grave and proceeded to wipe herself with it. After finishing, they made their way home.

The next day the first woman's husband phones the other husband and said, "These damn girls nights out have got to stop. My wife came home last night without her panties." "That's nothing," said the other. "Mine came back with a sympathy card stuck between the cheeks of her butt that said, 'From all of us at the Fire Station, Well never forget you!'

katierocket · 15/03/2005 09:05

LOL munnzie

munnzieb · 15/03/2005 09:12

Last one for today the girls!

From A Mother With Love

Dear Child,

I am writing this slow because I know that you can't read fast. We don't live where we did when you left home. Your dad read in the paper that most accidents happen within 20 miles from your home so we moved.

I won't be able to send you the address, as the last family that lived here took the house numbers when they left so that they wouldn't have to change their address. This place is real nice. It even has a washing machine. I'm not sure if it works too well though. Last week I put a load in, pulled the chain, and haven't seen them since.

The weather isn't too bad here., it only rained twice last week, The first time it rained for three days and the second time for four days. The coat you wanted me to send you, your Uncle Steve said it would be a little too heavy to send in the mail with the buttons on, so we cut them off and put them in the pockets. We got another bill from the funeral home. They said if we don't make the last payment on Grandma's grave, up she comes. John locked his keys in the car yesterday. We were worried because it took him two hours to get me and Shelby out.

Your sister had a baby this morning but I haven't found out what it is yet, so I don't know if you're an aunt or an uncle. If the baby is a girl, your sister is going to name it after me, she's going to call it Mom. Uncle Pete fell in a whiskey vat last week. Some man tried to pull him out but he fought them off and drowned. We had him cremated and he burned for three days.

Three of your friends went off a bridge in a pick-up truck. Ralph was driving. He rolled down the window and swam to safety. Your two friends were in the back. They drowned because they couldn't get the tailgate down. There isn't much more news at this time. Nothing much has happened.

PS, I was going to send you some money but the envelope was already sealed.

HandbagAddiction · 15/03/2005 09:18

lol munnzieb. Great stuff to start the morning with.

Thanks to everyone else for being so welcoming! Now that dh is back will definitely have to get on with this baby making lark. Friend of mine had a little boy on Friday (#2 for her) and she is desparate for me to be on maternity leave. There's only one problem though.....that being you have to have sex to get pregnant and since dh and I are always so cream crackered , there's not much of it going on in our house..... .

munnzieb · 15/03/2005 09:22

lol@HA - what r ur stats? do u already have kids? where has ur DH been?

Diege · 15/03/2005 10:05

Hi everyone, LOL Munnzieb , and glad you changed name back!
Expat: have received e-mail details, so will reply now. Hopefully will cheer you up a bit, and that you're not feeling so down today Your dd sounds the sweetest!

fresco · 15/03/2005 10:10

hi girls.some more BFPs!!! congrats.makes me feel left out.sob sob.hehe.well, temp gone back above coverline. dont know if its significant.
waiting for 2 weeks now.if af arrives will be in 2 saturdays.well should be anyway.we shall see.
any more waiting there?

HandbagAddiction · 15/03/2005 10:13

Dh was in the US for a week with work - right when we "should" have been doing the deed. So I've missed the boat for this month completely. Pre-dd used to have a definite 28 day cycle, but it's gone a bit hay-wire since then....hence the need for OPKs this time around...

Already have a dd who is 18 months old and a little star!!

Diege · 15/03/2005 10:17

Fresco - just being nosey, but can you explain a bit more about the temp thing that you mentioned (ie. in terms of what's happening with your temp). Have been reading something about temps and post-ovulation, and what rises/lowering of temp might mean.

Tania2 · 15/03/2005 10:47

cp3 - in regards to your question yesterday about how far along i would be if my blood test shows a bfp this is what i have found out. In IVF terms i would be 2 weeks pg (i know it sounds strange) but obvisouly i would be 4 weeks pg so if all goes well on Thursday and i do get a BFP i will be due on 22nd of November 4 days b4 my ds's 3rd birthday .

fresco · 15/03/2005 11:17

diege-well whats happened was the day b4 ov CD14 was below line (36.30) and bd.then CD15 ov big dip above cover line (36.85deg) and bedded.then CD16 36.05deg no bed.and yesterday CD 17 back to 36.40deg just below line and today CD18 back to 36.50deg above line .Does it make sense?

fresco · 15/03/2005 11:18

btw no i havent read anything re: post ov or else

fresco · 15/03/2005 11:36

diege or Tanya - have you done your BBT chart? if yes could i have a look pls?

Diege · 15/03/2005 11:47

Fresco,
Think I know what you mean. Just read something that said if your temps don't dip significantly after ovulation , then this could be a sign that conception has been successful (though temps can fall/rise for many others reasons too as you know). So you never know, this could point somewhere?!
Not sure what BBT stands for (sorry!)

Diege · 15/03/2005 11:53

Just realised BBT = basal body temp?? Didn't track mine I'm afraid. Used OPKs that said no surge, but obviously this month the levels went undetected? Did have sore boobs few days after conception though, and some discharge (egg white/thickish too about a week after that TMI sorry!!). Also the worst period pains ever the week period was due, and a few days before. Also (and this is way too much info, so look away now if you are offended). You know when you bd, and have an O (not ov!!? When I am pregnant, even just a week or so, I get really bad cramps striaght after it's happeneded. This happended this time too, so gave me confidence to test .Lot cheaper too! So you know what to do in a few weeks!

fresco · 15/03/2005 11:53

so you mean if temp dips quite a bit it means conception hasnt happened?

fresco · 15/03/2005 11:54

you wont offend me with tmi hen, say what you like!!!! hehe

Diege · 15/03/2005 12:14

Fresco, I think a dip this early wouldn't mean anything re: no concpetion. It's just that from what I've read one of the signs that your period's due (a few days before) is that you have a sudden dip (say from 36 to 35) a degree or more)to indicate that the chemicals are being released to start off another cycle. (ie. on day 26 of a 28 day cycle). Whereas if conception has occurred then temps remain pretty stable (ie. within the same degree). Many doctors discount all of this though (after all that!)and say from their evidence there is no correlation (ie. women who are conceive also had a dip). Not much help really then!
