Hi wondered if any one else was aiming for an August baby and fancied joining me this month to pass the time. This will be our 3rd cycle of TTC now and im on CD1 but staying positive.

My details are

Gemma C, TTC#2, usual cycle length 28-32 days, cd1

Please feel free to add yourself to the list, I would love some company.

Goodluck Rip, hope to hear some good news soon.

lol headfairy at hot pack on nipple! When are you planning on testing? Not that we're thinking about it of course....

WarmSeaBreeze · 04/12/2008 09:53

Morning Ladies

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice?? Since I had a MC in July, every other month my cycle shortens from 31 days to about 26 days. It has happened again this month, I am not due until Friday but I started to bleed on Monday (red) then it stopped and I expect it will start again properly tomorrow. I am definately not pregnant, but why is my body doing this, and when should I count CD 1??

RipMacWinkle · 04/12/2008 10:42

WSM - funny you should say this.

I was working out my cycles the other night (had mc back in March) and for the last 4 months i've had 27/33/28/30 so goodness knows what to expect next month (I'm sure it was funny after the mc too.

I used to be a pretty regular 28 days which is why I can't get excited about being on CD29 today.

If you're worried you should see your GP but I just wanted to let you know that those MCs seem to throw everything out - mentally and physically!

Hugs for you x

WarmSeaBreeze · 04/12/2008 10:53

Thanks Rip fingers crossed for you xx

smileycat · 04/12/2008 10:54

I'm back to CD1 started spotting late last night & AF started some time in the night, guess I'm back to a 28 day AF instead of the usual 25
Heres to trying over Xmas (raises a large glass of wine to all) & hoping for a Virgo baby... am one myself so hope its a good omen good luck to all coming up on the testing

HeadFairy · 04/12/2008 11:21

Morning all...

Thanks for the IUI info Issy. I hope your 3ww isn't too horrendous. I must say, having to add another week on would be a right PITA for me, I'm too impatient

Smallone, I'm not even thinking about when to test, I have none in the house, and am trying to be uber cool about it. But having said that, if I get to cd32 then I might buy a test because I think I'll explode otherwise!

I don't feel anything either way. No signs of impending af (but last month was a 26 dayer, so perhaps I'm in for a long cycle this month as I'm also one cycle past mc) but I don't feel pg either. When I got pg in Oct I was really really sick from about cd 20 onwards and I had really strange let down sensations in my boobs, but then I miscarried that pregnancy. My sister said exactly the same thing, before she had a miscarriage she had the worst morning sickness, she'd hardly had it with her two other pregnancies. Maybe I'm the same, in which case I'm quite happy to be feeling nothing.

We're off swimming in a minute, so good luck to anyone testing today, have we heard any more from bubble?

xx

HeadFairy · 04/12/2008 11:22

Sorry about af smileycat I've only just seen that. Keep positive and start thinking about that Virgo baby

bubblebell1 · 04/12/2008 14:15

Hi girls!!!

How are you all?

today i still have no sign of AF and i havnt tested because im so fed up of the BFNs.

i have booked a drs app for monday tho and im hoping that they can sort something out but i have an awful feeling they will just tell me to wait for AF.. which is easy for them to say as its driving me round the bend.

my plan of bding everyday went out the window too... dh has the dreaded MAN FLU!!!!!and he honestly said with puppy dog i feel sorry for myself eyes, 'bubs i feel ill' then sniffed an imaginary runny nose. it was like he had asked ds1 how he does it!!

i am feeling a little better so i am goin to cook him his fav meal and grab him tonight

good luck and babydust to all

pinkie08 · 04/12/2008 17:21

Hi all sorry Af got you smileycat

I have moved over to the September threads but will keep lurking as you all seem to have stuck with it.

Wish you all lots of baby dust

RipMacWinkle · 04/12/2008 17:44

I'm out.

I can't say much more right now because I'm currently so angry. It's totally irrational but I'm so completely f'd off with this whole thing now. Tomorrow I'm guessing I'll be in tears mostly as full flow isn't here yet but the warm up show (which I generally get a day or two before) is.

I'm not going to join the Sept thread just now. It's good to be with like minded people but this is starting to take over my life and I know it's not good for me.

Good luck to you all - hope there are lots more August babies x

BabyBump2B · 04/12/2008 17:48

Hey Smileycat sorry to hear about AF.

Fingers still tightly crossed for the rest of you!

smallone · 04/12/2008 19:23

smiley rip and pinkie warmseabreeze I have a similar thing, I've been alternating between a 26 and 30 day cycle but my "long" cycle seems to be shorter each time so maybe I'll just end up with a 26 day cycle. Not had any MC's but my shortest cycle of 25 days was really weird and I think poss an early loss, but I never went to Dr. I'm not doing anything technical to ttc except using dates with cm so its a bit tricky to know when to bd. If I don't get an august baby I think I might go back on the persona, which I was using (as contraception..oops) when I got pg with dd.

smiley, pinkie, rip sorry to hear of AF's arrival. i hope it works out for you soon.
bubble, i hope the dr can give you some answers.
well, i think today is ov day - am i right that your temp dips right before ov? Typical ,as i feel really rough again. seem to have picked up a cold on top of my cold and have swollen glands and blocked sinuses!AM supposed to have gone to one of two meetings tonight but need to bd and then get an early night!
hope everyone else is ok.

NewhereHelp · 04/12/2008 19:58

ahhhhhhh 10 more days, focus, focus, focus!

smallone · 04/12/2008 20:17

lol newherehelp ...go for the burn!

Sunnydale · 04/12/2008 20:53

Hello everyone. Sorry to those whose AF has arrived.Bubble, all things crossed for you for Monday. Issy, hope the IUI works out this month - we're on the same cycle date, aren't we! Any symptoms yet? (joke. Well, half joke). We've been BD'ing every second night - it's a night off tonight and I can't say I'm sorry as I've got mortal flu. No idea if / when I OV'd as tests have had faint line for last 5 days - fainter than the marker line which I think means not OV but who knows? Also DD broke my saliva microscope this morning, bit gutted as they cost £25 a pop. Wishing and Headfairy I'm getting seriously excited for you both. All your symptoms sound so promising! All this BFP / BFN news is awful - I had no idea they could fluctuate like that. What with Christmas shopping and food to plan on top of ttc... I dunno about you but my head's about to explode. Also I AM SICK OF PEEING ON STICKS! Esp at work, then hiding the OPK up my sleeve and hoping it doesn't drop out in the middle of the office so that everyone sees it Sorry, rant over!

HeadFairy · 04/12/2008 21:41

Aw Rip, sorry to hear you're out for this month. If you're lurking, just wanted to say I totally understand how you feel. Although I was pretty obssessed about ttc last time, I didn't discover mn until I was 8 weeks pg. Everyone on here is lovely but I so know what you mean about how talking about it every day can make you obssess. That's why I occasionally disappear for a couple of days. It's really nice to occasionally not know what cd I'm on. You take your time and kick your heels up a bit. Come back and tell us when you're pregnant

HeadFairy · 04/12/2008 21:43

Sunnydale, don't get too excited for me, I have absolutely no idea if I'm pg or not. Nothing to tell either way and I'd hate to get all excited thinking what if.... Just pretend I'm not here

Wishing · 04/12/2008 22:32

hey all!! i got to get past this weekend with no af before i will even consider doing another test sunnydale so dont get 2 excited!! i arent listing any more things i may have merely observed dont want another telling off!! hahahaha

sorry rip, you sound so down, i know how you feel, if af arrives for me i will be disappearing till next year, i dont think i will be able to concentrate on this anymore for a while!! - big hugs coming your way!!

love to everyone else, pinkie and anyone else whos aunty is here to visit!! thinking of you!!

Good Luck Izzy and everyone on 2ww still, or 3ww or even 4ww for some of us!! xxxxx

Issy42 · 04/12/2008 23:32

Sorry AF arrived smileycat and Rip. Headfairy - it probably won't be a 3ww as AF will arrive at usual time, but it's just another week before it's considered a real positive. Bubble (lol at the manflu) and Wishing - hope you get an answer soon. Olivo - yes you can get temp dip just before ov. Hope you feel better soon. NewHereHelp - stay focused!

Sunnydale - yes we are on same CD and I'm heading for a 29 day cycle this time so we will be eagerly not awaiting AF at the same time. I can't symptom spot because the hcg tricks me into feeling pg, so if you catch me doing it stop me! Lol at Ov in the office - I use the loo which is one on it's own and tucked away and hope noone comes in and wonders why I'm taking so long.

Babydust to all

BabyBump2B · 05/12/2008 17:07

wishing You are being so strong waiting - but you're killing me here When was AF due again?

olivo · 05/12/2008 18:24

evening all! well, i surpassed myself today by walking round work with an opk stick hanging out of my pocket - i can't believe none of the children noticed, but i think i got away with it!
Think I may have oved today as i got a really really agonising sharp pain in my right side, almost in my hip, this morning. it only lasted a few minutes and then nothing but it was horrible. does this sound like ov pain?

hope everyone else is ok, sorry to hear some are very despondent; ttc can be so draining. Here's to some good news soon - we must be due a BFP this weekend?

Sans04 · 06/12/2008 03:12

Hello
sorry for those who had af, and congratulation to Ilickyoursleev es.

I am on CD7 I am going to start testing ov from today as I ovulate early usually, amd going to do DP this month hope it work for me.
wishing sorry that you're going through the hard time I know how that sound like, but you're really brave and I am sure you'll going to get through that strongly and fingers crossed for you.
Issy a very good luck to you this cycle hope you get BFP even befor 3ww fingers crossed for you too.
olivo hope that pain was a ov pain it sound like that, but have you tested in the same day?
baby dust to all

smallone · 06/12/2008 09:05

Morning all, I'm going to my mums today till tues. CD24 for me today and I have mild af cramps and on off boob ache - but I've had this pg and not pg. Have packed af supplies in preparation for a 26 day cycle, but otherwise it should take my mind off it till at least wednesday, and af due by thurs.

Got a GP appointment for my coeliac results on friday, so may be tempted to test fri morning. Has anyone got an accurate clearblue result the day after af due? I know what it says on the packet, but things aren't always like that in real life are they?

Good luck everyone
x

olivo · 06/12/2008 11:18

sans, i had done an opk the day before and think i got a positive - i couldnt remember which line was the test and which the control but there were two so i guess even if the test line was the lighter, there was something going on. felt so rough last night that we didnt bd but we had done the last couple of mights so hopefully...
smallone, fingers crossed for you but enjoy your few days away anyway.
