My details are

Gemma C, TTC#2, usual cycle length 28-32 days, cd1

Please feel free to add yourself to the list, I would love some company.

SuziBhoy · 26/11/2008 18:46

should i?????? or wait til 2moro... incase AF returns! Hoping it was implantation!

NewhereHelp · 26/11/2008 18:50

Def do it now, surely you can't sleep tonight if you don't - I won't sleep !!!!!!!!!! xx

NewhereHelp · 26/11/2008 18:52

Sory got all excited obviously do what ever you feel most comfortable with

evie2000 · 26/11/2008 18:53

do it do it do it!

such fun goading someone else into testing! But seriously, do a test if you're thinking it really has gone. HOwever, without meaning to be a downer on it I have sometimes found AF has disappeared to return the next day so if seeing a bfn is going to bring you down then wait and see!

PS - myself although I'm sure i have pmt how is it I can still convince myself i will have BFP and will therefore be gutted when i'm not pregnant. damn the pyscology of a woman.

SuziBhoy · 26/11/2008 18:58

ha ha ha ha at you two

i think i will wait until i know AF is deffo away, as dont want to get my hopes up. so if i carry on thinking im not pg, then it will be less of a disappointment if AF does return to haunt me

you are so right evie 'damn the pyscology of a woman.'

evie2000 · 26/11/2008 19:01

for what it's worth I think you're making the right call - my experience is certainly it can happen.
good luck though!

NewhereHelp · 26/11/2008 19:02

OMG you are so together - Will keep checking this thread, everything crossed for you - can't believe I have another 18 days to wait!!!! Am waiting for DP to turn up at hotel for cd10 BDing

I am now taking evening primrose oil and drinking grapefruit juice and following the SME plan - all very scary for a newbie like me!

Lots more BFPs for everyone

SuziBhoy · 26/11/2008 19:10

thanks evie and new will post once i know whats happening!

olivo · 26/11/2008 19:34

suzi - you are soooooo impressively calm! i would have ripped a test open by now. let us know when you have news, and good luck!!

smallone · 26/11/2008 20:06

Thinking of you suzi I hope you get a definite answer tomorrow, its horrible when you're in limbo.

HeadFairy · 26/11/2008 20:37

wow, more bfps, how cool! congrats to those with happy news spread some our way eh?

Sorry to all those with af... rollercoaster starts up again....

Suzi, you're very brave, I'd have tested immediately. Last time I got pg, exactly the same thing happened, 2 days late I got what I thought was af, it only lasted a day, but for some reason it didn't really register that it was unusual, so I didn't test for a week, and it was a bfp! Fingers crossed the same happens for you!

Smallone... how spooky! We did manage it last night (how funny is this? Sharing intimate details of your marriage with strangers LOVE IT!) and dh is definitely much better today so we're going to go for it again tonight. I've told him I want to do it every night this week until Saturday so forewarned is forearmed! I'm cooking him all his favourite meals this week to make sure he's extra happy. I'm working on Friday til 10.30pm but it's Friday night so I'm sure I'll be able to pounce. I hope your dh picks up soon, keep plying him with Lemsip!

Does anyone know if you have to have been drinking grapefruit juice for ages for it to have an effect on your cm? I meant to start earlier, but didn't get round to buying it, but I've had a big glass every day for the past couple of days. Not noticed any difference, but I could just be being dim. Is it cumulative or will a glass in the morning make a difference for the evening?

BabyBump2B · 26/11/2008 20:47

Oooh Ilike thats great news - congrats!

I've fallen off the list as well so am adding myself back in!

Congratulations ilikeyoursleeves - woo hoo another BFP !

Suzi and bubble - sending bfp vibes your way...

Evie - I had horrendous PMT the week before my bfp and was sure AF was on her way so she's not a given just because you're feeling murderous.

Headfairy - happy bd on Friday! Not sure re: grapefruit juice, I didn't take it but did have a Tesco-so-much-cheaper-than-innocent smoothie every morning.

smallone - hope your tests go OK tomorrow.

NewHereHelp - if BFPs are given for enthusiasm and gusto you would be first in the queue - you go girl!

Issy42 · 26/11/2008 22:03

Sleeves - congratulations - that's brilliant news.

Sans04 - big huge babydust to you too and hope AF stays away for you.

bubblebell - for me CM disappears/goes watery pre AF, but when I was pg had a lot of CM in 4 days before AF due, so fingers crossed for you.

mummy2t - welcome.

olivo - thanks and hope your cold passes quickly.

sans and evie - hope your angry moods are pg not AF hormones.

smallone - good luck with blood test tomorrow, sorry can't help about coeliac.

Suzi - I admire your resilience to testing. Good luck tomorrow.

Newhere - Enjoy the hotel.

Good luck everyone xxx

VeryKeenForABean · 26/11/2008 22:06

Morning all, I've updated the list for today, Suzi I've left you at the bottom until you know what happening, good luck and my fingers crossed to breaking point.

RipMacWinkle · 27/11/2008 07:31

What fantastic news - more BFPS since I was last in.

Noodle, Bella and Sleeves - here's wishing you all great pregnancies.

What's happening at the top fo the list? 2manychips had an appearing/disappearing af at the weekend, what happened?

Suzi - how are things with you?

It looks like there are few tests being done this weekeend, as long as the old witch doesn't turn up.

I'm now on the 1ww but it's going to be so slow! I'm just praying hard that something will happen this month. DH is going to be away for work next week and I have ideas of how I could let him know if we were (he'll be on the webcam so he can talk to DS). Yes I know that's tragic but I know you guys will understand.

Good luck to anyone testing today x

bubblebell1 · 27/11/2008 08:27

good morning girls!!

suzi u need a medal... i admire you, if it were me i would of tested.... then again i still have no af and i have tested every morning since tuesday.

im not too bothered i just want to try again.
hate waiting for af. altho i am feeling pretty crappy today i have my fingers crossed af arrives tomorrow.

headfairy ive also forewarned dh. he is excited about the whole idea of bding every other night. he thinks its xmas come early

baby dust to all you others waiting to test or on the 2ww.

xxxx

RipMacWinkle · 27/11/2008 08:32

Bubblebell - are you ok honey? I hope that the lack of af/bfn isn't getting you down too much.

You sound like me a couple of months back? I'm very regular but I was six whole days late for no reason. It drove me crazy. The only explanation I could come up with was stress due to ttc. I was also testing every morning and it was killing me seeing a bfn each time.

i hope you get a bfp or af arrives soon (only so that you know where you are). x

bubblebell1 · 27/11/2008 08:56

Thanks RipMac. im ok just wishing AF would arrive. didnt think i would ever say that

your right.each time i see the bfn it makes me feel worse and worse so im not gonna test for a few days and see if she arrives. this malarky is driving me up the wall

thanks for letting me vent my woes at you xxxx

evie2000 · 27/11/2008 09:22

I think the BFN is about the most depressing thing of the whole process. SOmehow getting AF feels a more natural way of finding out.. that line just stares back at you so Bubble if you can resist I would but I know it's so hard. good luck and to all those waiting let's remember that for every bfn there are loads of bfp and it doesn't always have to be bad news. Turn the cup upside down and see the good side of it all (here I am saying that when I feel quite the opposite but anyway) smiles to all for the day ahead.

girlwithacurl · 27/11/2008 10:04

smallone re. Ceoliac - my mum is and she had 3 kids no problem at all!

smallone · 27/11/2008 10:51

Thanks girlwithacurl thats reassuring.

suzi any news? fingers crossed.

Didn't manage any bding last night, am hoping I can convince DH tonight but am out selling my wares at a craft fair til 10 tonight, not sure if I'll have the energy! and DH is muttering about doing something to the car, coz its losing water and we're supposed to be going for a long drive tomorrow.

HeadFairy · 27/11/2008 11:20

Morning all!

Well done at hanging in there suzi... still keeping everything crossed for you

bubblebell.... dh is getting used to his monthly week of fun. Not that he doesn't get it much other times, but every month he gets it 5 nights straight He's off to an awards ceremony tonight, so he's coming home this afternoon to collect his tux, I said to him we have to bd again tonight, so it's either plonk ds in front of the telly and do it before he goes out, or wait til midnight and pounce on him when he's drunk, (I'm pretty tired, and I've got work tomorrow - I could always have a nap in the early evening and wake up when dh comes home....) Hmmm decisions decisions... What would everyone else do?

Does anyone get fed up of the whole tediousness of ttc? It's not so much all the bd'ing, more the timing, knowing you've got to do it when you're shattered/not feeling great/listening to a yelling baby?

I felt so guilty last night as ds woke up crying at about 10.30pm, I went in to give him a cuddle and try and settle him, but he just wouldn't. I put him back in his cot, and he was wailing, but I knew dh was tired, so we bd'd while poor ds wailed. Major guilt attack! We did make it a quickie though and I gave ds a long cuddle until he fell asleep afterwards.

Oh well, I promised myself we'd bd every day this week until saturday, gotta stick to my plan!

Bluesatinsash, thanks for advice re grapefruit juice. I'll keep downing it for another few days just in case. Can't do me any harm despite tasting so grim!
