Hi wondered if any one else was aiming for an August baby and fancied joining me this month to pass the time. This will be our 3rd cycle of TTC now and im on CD1 but staying positive.

My details are

Gemma C, TTC#2, usual cycle length 28-32 days, cd1

Please feel free to add yourself to the list, I would love some company.

olivo i got my pregnacare on ebay, cheap and you can buy in bulk aswell. they apparantly help alot!!

HeadFairy · 16/11/2008 23:40

Hello everyone, nothing much to report from me, just keeping up with everyone's news. I'm on nights this week (boo!) so plenty of time to catch up (hooray!). It's very boring in the low cds isn't it? Call me mad, cos the 2ww is agony, but it's a bit more exciting than boring old cd4 ;)

Homeinthesun, my MIL lives in Cyprus, she's in a village called Souni, not far from Limassol. Whereabouts are you?

Good luck with everything this month Issy, I can see why you're throwing everything at it. Must be a tough decision to make.

I'm taking the pregnacare conception, have been for a couple of months, so far nothing. But that doesn't mean they're no good, a few extra vits can't do any harm can they?

Have a lovely night's sleep everyone, I'm very of you tucked up in your beds

Still... I do get to tuck up in bed tomorrow morning at 10am when everyone goes to work, so ups and downs....

x

Oh I see, you're at the base? My MIL works for SAFA (sp?) at the animal shelter on the base. She was making me very yesterday telling me how lovely and warm it was.

bubblebell1 · 17/11/2008 10:13

morning girls!!

well its another day closer to the end of the 2ww.

i am symptom spotting and driving myself mad.

i am comparing symptoms to my last pregnancy and the mc before it.

but only time will tell.

my tummy isnt as crampy as before but i feel awfully bloated and uncomfortable. is it a bean or is it af getting ready.or do i have trapped wind haha.

if af does visit this month then i am going to start temping and monitoring my cm.

i have been temping on and off this cycle. and my temp is still up by 1 degree and its a wk after ov. when does it return back to normal? also... my temp was 34.5 - 35.5 at beg. of cycle and now is 36.6 so is a change for me.

but i read the back of the thermometer box and it says normal temp is 37

pls someone explain to a confused obsessed freak

girlwithacurl · 17/11/2008 10:18

Hello, just moved over from the July list

Girlwithcurl, TTC #1, usual cycle 30-32 days, CD 2

Had a very late AF this month, and faint positive just before... not sure what this means

I have been taking the prenacare preconception for a few weeks, and got DP on Zinc. I figure a few extra vitamins can't hurt!

bubblebell1 · 17/11/2008 10:26

hi girlwithacurl

sorry to hear af arrived. especially after a bfp i hope this month is your month

xxx

pinkie08 · 17/11/2008 11:48

Hi girlwithcurl

Sorry for af arrival , those early BFPs can be very annoying .

Have you looked at the sperm meets egg plan

It suggests that you wait til 15 days past ovulation as some early fertilisations never become conceptions. Have a read quite afew of us are girls with plans.

Hope that helps

XX

olivo · 17/11/2008 12:00

hello girlwithacurl. sorry your af arrived after a glimmer of hope. fingers crossed for this month.
Well, i'm only 7 days into the 2ww and i'm fed up already! Feel big and full if that makes sense but no idea how i would feel before af after being on the pil for so long. just heard a friend is pg and I'm so jealous!
ok, if i bulk buy the pregnacare conception vitamins, are they ok to use if you do fall pg? I'm on pronatal at the moent having taken 3 months of boots own before i cam off the pill, but i am game to try these if people think they will help.

pinkie08 · 17/11/2008 13:05

I think that the conception pregnacare has folic acid to 400mgs so i cant imagine that you cant take it after a BFP

alternatively, i buy it once a month from accessdiagnostic as its cheaper from them and they deliver within 24hrs.

The pack has 30 tabs so i have usually got my AF by the time i need another pack.

LJ29 · 17/11/2008 13:10

Hi all, well I have been doing OPKs now since day 8 (now on 21) and am not sure when I ov'd as I just couldn't tell the difference between the lines. Anyway my cycles are very irregular but on average appear to come every 30-37 days. I had really bad crampy tummy yesterday which I suspect may have been ov pains. Because of irregular cycles I had warned Dh that this month would be a bit of a BD marathon and so far we have bd'e everyday bar 2 since day 8, so at least 11 times!!! Not bad going, but am absolutely knackered!!! think we will do it again tonight and tomorrow just for good measure. I think then I will at least feel that we have done everything we can.

VeryKeenForABean · 17/11/2008 13:45

Hi girlwithacurl - sorry you're here withus, baby dust for this cycle x

LJ - you must be exhausted (in a very nice way!) !

I need some advice! I have been offered a new job today, starting before Christmas. I went for the interview without any real thoughts that I would get it (5 other applicants) and now I need to give them an answer! It is a really nice job, much more pregnancy/child friendly than my current one, with great prospects. However, I feel really anxious that I might accept and then find out I'm pregnant (which would be the best thing in the world in every other way!) Do you think that would matter? It wouldn't affect my mat leave, just whether they would be v funny with me. on the other hand, I could turn it down and then be ttc for years...Any thoughts?

Baby dust to all xx

bluesatinsash · 17/11/2008 13:51

Hi All,

Sorry to hear AF has come girlwithacurl..

I take the pregnacare "from three months before conception through to breast feeding" one stop shop tablets.

I'm now on 5 day countdown to AF - or not. Feeling VERY hormonal which I don't normally. Have a pg test sitting in my drawer taunting me...

LJ29 - you certainly have the bd nailed fingers crossed its enough this month x

LJ29 · 17/11/2008 13:57

BSS don't do it!!! Its so early and BFNH's are so demoralising. Keep yourself busy to distract yourself.

Sunnydale · 17/11/2008 14:20

Hello all - well I think I'm out this month, got a BFN on Sunday although it's less than 2 weeks since I OV'd so the hormones could just not have showed up yet, I suppose. But I don't feel PG at all. Feel really tearful all the time, why oh why can't I be cheerful, not tearful. I could be at this for months - I can't fall apart at the first hurdle. Wish I was tougher.

Verykeenbean I'd so take the job! All I can say by way of advice is that I once offered a job to someone who IMMEDIATELY became pregnant - ie she was pregnant by the time she'd started, 4 weeks after I'd interviewed her! I can honestly say I didn't mind at all, and was still glad I'd chosen her. My point is that if they offered you a job it's coz they like you and want you. Having a baby should not change that. Life is messy - it can't always go to plan, and I wouldn't reject a job because you're worried you might get PG soon after starting. Seize the day, I say!

Issy42 · 17/11/2008 14:26

Just trying to sneak in a quick post at the end of lunch break so sorry if I miss out anyone.

Homeinthesun - my brother is based on an RAF base in Cyprus and he's really not a nice man and certainly wouldn't want him anywhere near your kids. CAT me if you wish to know more.

Bubblebell - each woman has different temperatures - mine has never reached 37. The drop tends to come day of or day before AF but you might get a small drop before then.

Girlwithacurl - welcome to August and sorry about your BFP before AF .

Olivo - The pregnacare conception box says keep taking them until you run out and then switch.

LJ29 - you must be exhausted .

VeryKeen - Maternity leave depends on the company so worth a confidential anonymous call to the HR department to find out what their maternity policy is. Unfortunately I work in HR, so there's no such thing as a confidential call to HR for me. Check out www.berr.gov.uk to see what minimum statutory benefits are - I'm a bit out of touch. If you don't qualify for SMP you may get maternity allowance which used to be the same amount - though doesn't have the 90% of earnings bit first I think.

Bluesatinsash - Good luck for when you do decide to test.

I'm almost sure I'm out this cycle now as temp dropped a little today. Still on for August though.

Good luck everyone xxx

olivo · 17/11/2008 14:41

thanks, will get the pregnacare.

verykeen, i'd go for it, and well done! i have sat around thinking i won't look for a job until i've hoprfully had dc2 but now i'm just stuck in a job i dont like. it might take your mind off ttc too!!!

blue- don't do it! and loads of luck when you do!
lj - impressed at your stamina !!

oops! sorry!

girlwithacurl · 17/11/2008 15:08

VeryKeen... I would go for it as well! if you don't and you are stil TTC in a few months it will make it all even worse, and you never know they might be fine with it, Sunnydale makes a very good point, if they like you then they will like you anyway!
Blue... don't do it! its soooo demoralising.

girlwithacurl · 17/11/2008 15:10

Oh, and thanks for the link Pinkie, I love a good plan!

evie2000 · 17/11/2008 20:02

just popping by to say I love reading the sperm meets egg plan and lovely to think of a new method for next month! My dh is now away and acording to the plan we should have been bding again tonight and then again on wednesday but nevermind - will be positive and assume all the efforts over the weekend will pay off. The 2ww begins damn it. why can't I think of anything else!
good luck to all.

Wishing · 17/11/2008 20:26
