Anyone Planning To TTC From October

VeryKeenForABean · 23/08/2008 20:49

Hi, I had an ectopic in May and am coming up to the end of my 3 month wait following methotrexate treatment. Need to wait for blood results in September but hope to start TTC from October. Feel really positive about the future and want to start looking forward. Anyone want to pass the time with me?

Hi dawn, sounds as if your AF is about to make an appearance soon though, doesn't it? Fingers crossed for you.

I'm on cd3 now and very impatient to start this whole ttc business... still seems like an awfully long time to wait till ov!

littlewifey · 23/11/2008 09:33

Morning all, peacelily, I too have heard from people in RL that grapefruit is good for boosting CM. I am going to the shop to buy some today!!
I am in need of some words of wisdom this morning ladies and I'm sure you lot can talk some sense into me... DH just doesn't understand! This week should be when I ovulate, so DH is really excited however I'm absolutely petrified. It's been a year since my MMC and I thought I'd put all this behind me, but this weekend I've been really wobbly. Since my MMC 5 people at work have gone on to have healthy pg's, so now I'm convinced that to fulfill the 1 in 3 stat it will be me again that mc's. I know it's irrational, but I can't shake this worrying
Anyway, sorry for going on and damppening the mood. I hope everyone else is feeling good today and that some more of you announce BFP's soon. Blusatsinsash, I am still smiling for you and wish you a wonderful and uneventful pregnancy

VillageMum · 23/11/2008 12:11

littlewifey, it's been well over two months since my mmc and I'm still petrified too at times (had a real wobble again this morning!) - and know I would still be scared even in a year's time, two years, three years... forget the 1 in 3 'statistic' that's frightening you - you're applying it in a totally random way! It means nothing. The real stat to hold on to is that having had one mmc (or mc) does not raise your personal chances of having another next time in ANY way. Your chances of having a healthy pg now are as good as they were before. I think the reason we're having wobbles about ttc again is that we know the moment is now arriving when it becomes a reality. Of course it's scary. All life involves risk - that's the deal. We are going to be OK, I promise. x

littlewifey · 23/11/2008 14:16

Thanks VillageMum I know you are right about the stats etc, think I just need a good shake up to make me stop being daft!! You are very right about the reality bit. We left it over 12 months because we wanted to make sure we were ready financially and workwise etc (aswell as me getting my head a bit straighter). For the last 12 months I've been wishing every second away and have become preganncy obsessed!! However, now the time is here I'm petrified Thankyou again for your reassuring words, it is so nice to talk to people who understand! x

VillageMum · 23/11/2008 18:43

littlewifey, no problem at all - as I say, I've been there (am there) too and even though I've been counting down the days to this 'ttc cycle', now the time has come, I'm afraid again! I think we just have to accept that the fear is normal because of what we've experienced. On the plus side, your body has really and truly recovered by now, you're in a better place financially and workwise, and there is no reason at all why you shouldn't have a problem free pg! I'm sure you will! x

dawn37 · 24/11/2008 11:31

Hi everyone...I've finally plucked up courage & made appt with GP, sounds silly I havn't done it sooner, but I couldn't face more tests, anyway, it is now a week Monday, hopefully my AF will do me a favour & make an appearance before then! hows everyone else doing?

VillageMum · 24/11/2008 13:00

Dawn, good for you! You'll get some answers soon even if AF doesn't come before; fingers crossed!

Doing OK; am trying to stay positive about ttc and not overthink it! x

littlewifey and olivo, how are things?

littlewifey · 24/11/2008 19:01

Well done Dawn, hopefully your GP will be able to give you some answers.
I'm not too bad today thanks VillageMum, feeling a bit more positive. Have done OPK tonight, but still no OV line How are things with you? How's the not overthinking going? x

olivo · 24/11/2008 20:07

evening! nothing to report here, my AF is finished so I'm hyping myself up for next week, if i'm healthy enough - currently got a grotty cold and a dodgy chest so i'm not optimistic!
littlewifey, sorry ot hear you've been a bit shaky, let's hope this time is the positive experience you deserve. And you too, VM.

VillageMum · 24/11/2008 22:05

Thanks littlewifey and olivo! MY AF has also just finished so yes, next week it is... tantarantarantaaaaa - I actually do feel OK about it right now (deep breaths, deep breaths! ) Hope you feel better soon olivo!

SuziBhoy · 25/11/2008 17:26

well AF has arrived... i think.... doesnt normally arrive at night but heres to next month!!

dawn37 · 26/11/2008 09:12

well I'm feeling very low at moment, just found out about a woman whom my husband was seeing when he 1st met me is pregnant, she messed him about loads, then she got married 8 months before me so it looked like we were copying, & I've just realised as I was losing my baby, she must've found out she was pregnant so I can't help but feel she's got my baby, I thought I was over this but because its her it has really put me down in the dumps

VillageMum · 26/11/2008 13:13

Oh dawn, sorry you're low... try not to read too much into it - it's just a coincidence. Your life is your own and will run its own course - you will get pg again and have your own baby. What she does doesn't matter! Sending you a ((hug)).

dawn37 · 01/12/2008 14:21

Have been to my GP today, he has referred me back to Gynae, he seemed confussed on what I was saying to him about not having a period & he said fertility drugs can cause ectopics, I did explain that my 12 year old daughter was a result of clomid! Anyway, I found him pleasant but not very helpful, so now I will be just waiting for an appointment at the hospital...whenever that will be! Hows everyone else doing? anybody heard how bluesatinsash is getting on? hope all is turning out well for her

dawn37 · 01/12/2008 16:33

since this post, I have spoken to the hospital direct & now have an appointment on the 15th Dec in the fertility clinic...Heres hoping they can sort me out! I feel so much more positive now

bubblebell1 · 01/12/2008 17:39

dawn im glad you are finally on track to get some answers... bluesatin got a bfp this month... she was on the august thread im so pleased for her

bubblebell1 · 01/12/2008 17:40

oops looks like you already knew that sorry ive not heard from her since xx

olivo · 01/12/2008 18:37

hello. just popped in to see how you folks are doing.
villagemum, how are you getting on?

VillageMum · 02/12/2008 09:30

Hi olivo, well we're ttc and are about to enter the 'fertile window' (always feel like a window cleaner when I think this!!) How are you? x

bluesatinsash · 02/12/2008 16:05

Hi Ladies,

I'm still here, (and still pregnant, taking things one day at a time, I'm 5+3 today!) We were away all weekend, I was full of cold which unfortunately became a chest infection so was off work yesterday coughing for Scotland and am now on antibiotics which Doctor assures me are OK to take during pg - they bloody better be!

I've taken a deep breath and joined the Aug 09 ante-natal thread. I really need that extra support and hand holding during the early weeks and you would be amazed at how many of us have had mc this year...

Dawn - great news that you have an appointment - hope they give you all the answers.

VillageMum - 'fertility window' always makes me think of playschool's "what window are we going through today? - the round, arch, square - NO the fertility window thanks very much!

Hi bubble and Olivo - I'm keeping up to date with you guys on the trying for Aug thread x

thegreatescape · 02/12/2008 18:50

Hi all! No joy yet for me. Last period was 8 days late so weeing on sticks like nobodies business but kept getting the frustrating one blue line.

I've just started using the ovulation sticks with smiley face (should it be smiley face? Or humping bunnies?) By my calculations should have ovulated today but no smiley face in sight.

I would throw that fertility window open if it wasn't so damn cold outside!!

olivo · 03/12/2008 10:06

lol at all the window talk! I think i'm mid cycle too so also peeing on sticks and bding when possible.still havent shaken off my cold but it's amazing what you manage to do when you're determined!!

VillageMum · 04/12/2008 09:53

Hello everyone!

blue, hope your chest infection goes and that you feel better soon!

olivo, I've just stepped through the fertility window, so to speak - positive OPK this morning so playschool is on!

Hope you all have a good day today and a calm rest of the week!

bluesatinsash · 04/12/2008 11:27

VM! Sending you lots and lots of baby dust xx

olivo · 04/12/2008 18:07

me too, villagemum, so we can share the 2ww!!
good luck!
