Hi, I had an ectopic in May and am coming up to the end of my 3 month wait following methotrexate treatment. Need to wait for blood results in September but hope to start TTC from October. Feel really positive about the future and want to start looking forward. Anyone want to pass the time with me?

VillageMum - I'm soo hormonal too! Have been all weekend (shouted at DH over parking which I NEVER do. DS said "shoosh Mummy" ). Had a difficult meeting at work this morning and my boss said I looked as if I was going to 'paste them' - eek!

AF due on Sat. trying hard not to think about it but easier said than done. If it does come we can synchronise our watches for OV in December !

Think I've forgotten what so-called 'natural' hormones can be like (all those years on the pill were never like this I tell you! and then of course I was pg followed by mc.) Yes, let's synchronise hormonal watches!

well bluesatinsash im starting to drive myself mad. AF due on thursday, which is also my birthday, so im hoping it stays away and i have to have a sober one , think i will test on thursday as well. will let you all know what happens.

Phone womens health today & she said do 1 more test & then see my GP as I definately should've had AF by now. This morning I was so convinced it would arrive as had moderate cramping & now nothing again. I'm now hoping to set my watch with you guys, so had better make that appointment! very fed up now

Bubble - resist the desire to test this early, its so inaccurate and you don't want your hopes built up or prematurely dashed.

VillageMum - hope AF makes her appearence soon and your hormones can reboot.

I'm not testing until Sat which is aaages away but do have Friday off for DH's birthday so we're having a day out in Glasgow which should keep our mind of things (and hey, AF may have arrived by then...)

Still waiting for AF - it's not bad news though as this means my luteal phase must be back to what it was pre-mc... oh this waiting around is hard though! Really want to start the next cycle!

bubble - try not to test... im scared to test on the day my af is due never mind a week before. saves more disappointment i suppose. my dp is taking me out for a meal on thur then im hitting the town on sat, but its down to a small little plastic stick wether or not its gonna be a sober one

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Suzibhoy, in the nicest possible way, I hope you have a sober one! Still waiting for AF, but had read if you drink lots of green tea itll help? I don't drink tea or coffee, but I'm giving it a shot, got to be honest my symptoms have increased, so I'm thinking if I make that appointment with GP it's bound to turn up! Also petrified about trying again and can't stop worrying I might have MMC again if I ever get a BFP! AF has now started so we are officially on our first ttc cycle since my mmc... littlewifey, I know all about those fears and I've also promised dh that I'll have a positive attitude - but there's only so much we can control mentally; sometimes you just have to have the feelings, acknowledge them, breathe deeply...

littlewifey I am also trying to be positive about falling pg following mc. I try and repeat the stats that you are no more likely to mc after having one or even two than someone who has never had one. I know for sure i'll be knicker checking on an hourly basis to begin with nonetheless...

AF is due on Sat... DH and me are both off tomorrow and we're going to Glasgow for a long lunch and a dander about. If you see AF don't tell her where I am OK?

....I did a test this morning as its DH's birthday and there it was, 11 weeks and 6 days since my mc, a big fat positive. I slipped stick into DH's gift bag so he stumbled across it when he was taking out his new Kings of Leon CD.

I'm in shock.

Our day went awry as DH was called into work just as we were about to go to Glasgow. I still went and wandered round the shops trying to get my head round this and not even daring for one second to get excited about it all.

VillageMum - I wil post on Emmsy's but want to find a quiet time to avoid any insensitive cross posting...

Off to get DS from Nursery x

bluesatinsash, OMG I am over the moon for you! That is just so, so, so, SO WONDERFUL!!!! What a fantastic way to announce it to dh too! Hi VM. i'm ok . AF literally just arrived (exactly 4 weeks after stopping the Pill!) so back to day 1 but feel ok about it. Am stocked up on grapefruit juice and have DH's agreement to really go for it this month!!
So, i'm only a day behind you!!

Only just joined but we are TTC after mc on 15th Sept, have had first AF after that and ovulated on day 17, have performed as neccessary, hope it's all worth it though!

Already have dd(2) and got pg straight away with baby that mc feel a mixture of hope and apprehension this time round!

Can anyone fill me in about grapefruit and other fertility boostng methods?

sorry Peacelily - meant to answer you fertility question by saying I'm sure VillageMum can fill you in - she is an expert on all things ttc!

I know that grapefruit juice helps thicken your CM (cervical mucus) which is vital for helping sperm reach the egg.

I haven't done any temping, rely on the OPK which do help narrow your window for bd.

I have a feeling we have met on another thread - perhaps giving advice re: working for the NHS?

bluesatinsash, I'm just so pleased for you, and that it's happened so soon after your mc too. No, you're not broken!! Don't be silly! This is going to be a happy, successful and uneventful pregnancy and by the end of it you will have a gorgeous healthy bluesatinsash jnr to keep you up at night... Hope you are feeling OK and enjoying the early days. Many many congrats again!!

peacelily, oops, I don't actually know that much - I've heard that grapefruit juice boosts the production of fertile cervical mucus, but other than that I don't take any potions - just do OPK to pinpoint ovulation and also do BBT (on Fertility Friend) to confirm ov. Sounds as if you know your cycle though, so good luck this month!

Hi bluesatinsash, wow!!! congratulations, I'm so pleased for you. I'm still waiting for AF, just trying to stay patient. Each day I think it's coming as symptoms are quite strong...& yet nothing. Still, nothing I can do but wait. Hows every1 else doing?
