I got the midwife calling me tommorrow so i will see what she says...

My last pregnancy i had no complications so they dont seem to worry about peace of mind for you... but i am going to ask.... I would defo try the 2 tablets, i didnt take mine same time everyday which alot of people seem too i took my after 11am but no later than 3pm (im not sure if it makes a difference)

Anyways you are the same as me then 3 months in to taking clomid... i know what i would do... i could always send you my tablets if they dont agree...but if your not thinking about every 2 mins too i think that helps....

Big congrats to Georgie its nice to have another BFP as send positive vibes out to all of us who are feeling down and negative. Havent been on for a while as no longer on clomid but check up on the goss every now and again. I have got my HSG next week which im dreading and also means I have had to use contraception this month which feels wrong considering meant to be ttc. I also had abnormal results from my smear in Dec so also got a colposcopy week after. Im just hoping they sort me out and I get a bfp this year. Im 32 in March and have no dc yet and feel like time is slipping away.

Anyway I hope 2009 brings you all the BFPs you deserve. Good luck

hey georgie, how did it go with the midwife? hope u got the reassurance you needed. Im going to take ur advice on taking at different time of day as i usually take it before bed as i heard it was supposed to reduce side effects, but not had many so nothing ventured and all that. May also take the 2 aswell will see how i feel. Decided to look for a new job so hopefully that will take my mind off ttc.
heres hoping 2009 brings us all a little angle.

23 weeks and a baby girl ! What wonderful news.
How are you feeling? I am 27 weeks now and I really look it as well ! Finishing work in 8 weeks....can't wait !

It has been so different 2nd time round - with DS I was sorted by now. The cot was up, my maternity bag was packed and nursery was ready and waiting.

This time round...haven't even started planning stuff! Just feels like there is no time in the day to! Daytime is work time and evening time is time for DS.

Anyway, hope 2009 brings great things for everyone!

i am fine hunni apart from constant heartburn i am the same as you i look about 30 weeks pregnant not 23 i cant believe how quick it is all going

the sonographer in the hospital said she thinks its a girl but thats not enough for dh so we have an appointment with babybond to get a 4d gender scan just to put his mind at rest but i no its a little girl

but never mind thats men for you lol........

good morning ladies,
just been re-reading the 'sperm meets egg plan' as af arrived this morning 2 days early, blooming typical (but at least now know asthma drugs havent effect baby if i had concieved). dont feel as down about it all this month for some reason. But have decided to take double clomid this month and try the plan again. just wondered about a bit of it. it says

'When test is positive, "try" that night, plus two additional nights in a row
Skip one night, then do one last "try" '

One last try, so does that mean after cd18 we shouldn't bd? can't really see dh going for that idea.

Anyone else tried this plan? I know you did georgie what did you do?

Yeah i did it again cd 19 i followed it down to the tee, but i didnt do any ovulation tests.... dont forget i did it from day 10 then day 12 14 15 16 17 skipped day 18 then again on day 19 and had it again i think on day 21.....

hi ladies, havent been on this thread for a while, just thought id update, im now 8 weeks pregnant from my first cycle of clomid so it proves it definately works

georgie congrats to you, i know what you mean about the wait til the 8-12 weeks, it does seem like a lifetime.

Congrats on your pregnancy, so your 8 weeks 2 weeks in front of me... its a nightmare, I dont get ill in the morning i feel like crap in the evening..... Never had this before...How have you been feeling???

Omg i just got a letter from the hospital saying we have reached the top of the iui/ivf waiting list. am in shock its only been 6 months, was told 12 months by one hosp n 3yrs by first hosp was referred to. Me n DH very excited but trying not to get our hopes up to much. got to go for our first appointment on 25th feb then stat treatment at second appointment.
Only 3 months into clomid so may say can we wait n give that the 6 months but the am i wasting my time? hummmm need a long think n some discussion with DH me thinks.

hope everyone else is ok.

Sarashy thats brilliant news.... im so pleased for you.... i bet your be pregnant before you have to do the IVF i have heard so many people chilling out cause they have that appt and then they conceive!!!!!

No scan appointment yet, midwife is coming to my home tuesday... (all a bit different from my first pregnancy)

My boobs are soooooooooooooooo sore and i feel like im a teenager again as i have big blind boils on my face and chest not a good look and very painful so im not sure what thats all about.... apart from that i think im doing ok....

Well I have not been so lucky, I had my smear results back and they showed abnormal cells so I had a colposcopy yesterday and she said they look more moderate than mild so she took a biopsy. Im now waiting for results as may have to have treatment. She advised TTC to go on hold for a while until this problem is sorted.
Life is just shitty at the moment and feeling so scared

heya guys. ive just started medroxyprogesterone acetate today after 2 1/2 years of ttc. was on metforim before that which did agree with me. whats the time scale that you take clomid for and whats the next steps if it doesnt work?

Hi hopefor - usually they give you six months of clomid, but my consultant said i can have it for 8 if the first 6 dont work. After that is the stage where a few of us are now which is ivf / iui /icsi. Hope u dont get that far, fingerscrossed.

Well the midwife came and it was just question after question really....got my scan though on the 24th Feb so that just seems like its decades away..... I really wanted some reassurance from the midwife but she was not exactly helpful....

Until i see it i wont believe it... been a bit hectic my end im mating my bitch so shes gone off to her mate and hopefully she'll come home pregnant too lol.... my poor husband is going to be in a house full of hormones....lol....

hey georgie, Well ur scans the day before we have our first IVF appointment, fingerscrossed for us both. Well sperm meets egg plan not going to well this month been trying to do it but unfortunatly i have this flu again so dont feel much up to bding. Need to get myself well and gain 1/2 stone by my appointment otherwise they wont give me the treatment as im too underweight. really am trying but it seems the more i try the more i loose. why cant i be like the majority of the population lol!!!
how did you dog go on? not as much trouble as us hey?
Had stomach ache again this month, think its with the clomid, as im due to be around ovulation now ish.

Well AF is due today but as of yet hasnt arrived. keeping my fingers crossed. BUt on the other side not long time IUI time. roll on the 25th feb if AF arrives if not bonus

well ive just took my course of clomid, with no side effects as long as i took it during the day. just after a little confirmation on something- if my period was on the 30th of jan am i most firtile on friday the 13th? is there any tips on how to make this month the month and can you drink in modaration or dose that reduce your chances. Any advice on what follows for the next few weeks would be great and what to expect. thanks

Well Georgie yes it did arrive with a vengence last night been up all night wih belly ache. Just to rub it in you no, it could juts arrive without the pain. So it looks like its iui time. will still take clomid this month but i think im going to be naughty and take double dose, nothing ventured nothing gained n it cant do me any harm. Followed the sperm meets egg plan to the letter n nothing, its so frustrating. 2 weeks till ur scan is it? good luck.

Hopefor yes your most fertile day is the 13th try the sperm meets egg plan you never know it may work for you it did for georgie. I never knew you couldnt drink with clomid, maybe thats where im going wrong lol . maybe ill try a month without, although in my eyes teenagers manage to go out get pi**ed n still get pg.

may seam like a daft question but what is the sperm meets egg plan? everyone gose on about it but i do not understand it.

did you all know that if yo drink caffien whilst on clomid then it wont work as well as caffien has the opposite effect on the tablets. i aint had any alcohol since new years eve and havnt had caffien sine new years day, hopeing that this month will be the month for me! loads of bd tomorrow and sataday for me! wish me look!!!!!
