Hi Pinkie,

No Af as yet and havent done any BFs, how good am i. I realy realy hate them so am putting off as much as i can, may consider doing one MOn if no Af but sure its not due til Tues anyway.
I keep getting sharp pains and then very dull ache which comes and goes, BBs realy sore but always are but this ache is unusual for me. V V tired but think may be the clomid doing that.

Apparently acupunture is meant to be very good, i have had it before but the man i saw was like big on herbal treatments to and felt pushed into trying it all so stopped going. May find another in the area though and just have it for the TTC. Whats CM????? If grapefruit juice helps worth a try. Also read on other tread about Preseed, not sure what it is but seems to work for people.
Whats AF been like is it awful due to clomid??

Baby dust back hope its your month this month.

pinkie08 · 10/10/2008 12:14

Hi ray,

CM = cervical mucus which can be dried up by the clomid.

Have tried preseed and its worth a try can be bought over the web best site for delivery is access diagnostics. its a lubricant that is not harmful to swimmers and is meant to help.

AF been ok massive pains and swelling yesterday.

keep me posted on how you get on.

lots of baby dust

ray81 · 10/10/2008 12:23

Have lots of CM and the mo which i normally get around when Af due but not normally this early. trying to keep reminding myself that clomid can affect Af in this way and that just getting myself at it. I'm sure that Af will come with a vengenace soon but i realy wish it would hurry up so that we can begin again.

am going to try from CD 8 next month and BD everyother day and then do OPKS and BD on day of surge day after miss and day and day after that. DH realy up for that he he, eyes nearly opped out of his head.
Its realy nice to be able to share this with someone who is also taking clomid.
have Sister, Best friend and another friend who are all PG at the mo and finding it realy difficult to cope, find i dont want to see them and feel like a bitch for feeling like that.

pinkie08 · 10/10/2008 14:15

it is really hard but dont give up just yet you might be bfp this time and you can join them. Power of positive thinking!!

lots of baby dust to you

sarashy · 10/10/2008 15:08

whooo!!!!! hope you guys are ok not been on for a while taken me ages to catch up on all the gossip.
I say whooo!!!! cause i had some good news finally today (well i think its good anyway). I HAVENT OVULATED!!!!! yeah!!! i sound mad but at least it now means they are going to give me a chance at clomid. I told my consultant that i thought the first test was a fluke. so hopefully when i get my referral through for my second opinion he will give it me straight away.
My mum is being a little negative about it as she said i should want to know why but im seeing it as a positive as at least now i can do something about it. DH is also very pleased.
fingerscrossed and baby dust to all

Hi sarashy,

I know exactly how you feel they made me do 2cycle day 21progesterone tests before they would agree that i wasnt ovulating.

Mums can be funny about it dont take it to heart she means well. mine has spent this month asking why i feel sick, tired headaches etc needing to be reminded of clomid every time.

Start taking this months tomorrow so keep us posted how you get on and we can swop info.

sarashy - im so glad you are getting taken seriously as sme docs are a nightmare. good luck with the clomid

pinkie - im glad your not getting too many side effects and your feeling positive about it all.

I have my scan next wed to see if any pcos or problems. I finished my last clomid tabs this week and now my dh has a good count we are going to try every day, if poss, from cd12-22. Im so hoping this month works so i dont have to have all the other tests or to go through ivf.

Mums are the best and mine was so worried about the tabs and any time i said i felt a bit funny she would rant about them lol.

Hope all you girlies are feling more positive this month.

Vics32 · 11/10/2008 10:44

Hi everyone, I am worried about side effects of clomid, taking 1st one next week and have read about depression and risk of ectopic as being some problems. Any thoughts on this? All you ladies sound really strong, I know it can be hard, hope some of your strength rubs off on me

Good vibes and all,V x

Baby dust to all

clairebear88 · 13/10/2008 13:53

Hi

Thanks Pinkie im not too worried about the scan its the other thing im crapping myself about as heard its painful.
Vix I understand where your coming from as Im sure all of us on here were worried after we read the leaflet. I think they had to list everyting just in case but its quite rare to get any major side effects. I reacon the most common are hot flushes, headaches, tiredness, mood swings and cramping . I didnt get monitored either so was worried but now I have seen the specialist she could not believe I was left without monitoring. If I was you I would insist you get your bloods done on the 1st month ( at least ) to check your on the right mg. Apart from that Im sure you will be fine, they are not the greatest tabs to be on as can make you feel down but we are all here to support eachother as we all know how hard this journey is.
Let us know how you get on. By the way if you get any side effects they could be throughout the month not neccessarily for those 5 days ( so dont worry this is normal ). You never know you could be lucky and not get any

CX

Vics32 · 13/10/2008 17:25

Hi all,

Thanks for your encouraging words C, my partner will be chuffed to hear about the mood swings bit . Can I ask what it is you are crapping yourself about as you've heard it's painful? I've had a few diagnostic tests and might be able to help there. I am having a scan on day 10, then an appointment with Dr straight after, so I guess maybe they'll do my bloods then? They seem pretty good at the clinic I go to.

I guess I'll just suck it and see as they say!

Thanks for your support all, and right back at ya.

clairebear88 · 13/10/2008 19:45

Hi

I have got to have a lap and dye ( cant remember proper name ) and heard its painful.Probably be next month now as not got app yet, just hoping this month ( my last one of clomid ) works.
Its all so confusing as gotta have bloods on certain days, scans, tests. My head is spinning.
Let me know how the sucking goes !!! lol

Vics32 · 13/10/2008 22:02

Hi all,

C, I think it's the SALP test you are having. When dye is injected into the womb to highlight the ovaries and fallopian tubes and to show any blockages? If so, I have had that. It isn't fun, but any discomfort is over very quickly. It is very useful too. I had to have bloods on certain days too, all a bit stressy isn't it? But good news is, once these things are over they can see whats going on. That's how I found out I am not ovulating and ended up on Clomid.

Pain in the arse though it is, the tests are all quite useful. You do feel like a bit of a pin cushion though.

Take someone with you for the SALP, it's nice to have a hand to hold.

Take care and let me know how it all goes. Nice to have support isn't it??

My support to all you ladies,

Vic x x x x x x x

How is everyone else?

blondie80 · 14/10/2008 10:49

hi ladies, was wondering if you could help.

have taken 1st cycle of clomid and am now at d29. for the last 18mths cycles have been 35days at least. my doc says clomid should regulate and shorten my cycles. have any of you found this??

don't want to get to excited.

much app.

clairebear88 · 14/10/2008 11:55

Hi

Yeah will defo take someone with me as am quite worried about that test, thanks for the advice and im glad its not as bad as in my head.
Blondie - I was always 28-29 days but am now 27-28 days so not much change for me but it should shorten your cycle if you are normally 35 days. I hope you are finding the clomid ok and good luck. Do you feel as if af is on her wicked way??

Cam - Hiya. Great stuff isnt it lol. I have just finished round 5 and this is my last round so im doubly crossing my fingers. Good luck to you too.

cx

blondie80 · 14/10/2008 12:02

thanks clairebear, doesn't feel like it, but doesn't feel like anything else either.

clomid is a horrible thing to have to take, apart from not having the will to live for a day my face swelled up!

good luck for this round.

Vics32 · 14/10/2008 16:11

Hi everyone,

Blondie: Your face swelled up! Oh no! Does that happen to lots of people? I am new to all this. Does it make you feel low too?? I can't wait to start it!

CB: You will be fine, just imagine nasty period pain. It's a bit like that. But short lived.

Cam: Fingers crossed for that swimmer.

Love to all V x x x

blondie80 · 14/10/2008 16:34

hi vics,

yeah, face swoll up on one side, lucky enough it was on a sunday and wasn't in work or anything. it only lasted for the day, woke up on the monday fine. although it followed the worst day ever on sat. i'm not usually a down/sad person, but just felt like there was no purpose for me here at all. i don't know how many people it happens too, but i hear it can be a side effect.

clairebear88 · 14/10/2008 17:00

Hi

It can make you feel really down and tearful and I have had moments when I feel im losing it which is unlike me. The next day is normally fine though so just bear with it and try and have a bath or do something happy and you will be fine. The tiredness doesnt help either as made me ratty.
Who would have thought a little tablet can do this to you.
cx

Vics32 · 14/10/2008 17:36

Ladies, we must be potty, that or desperate. I dunno, all I keep thinking is that there will be a day in all our futures that we will look back on all this, while tearing our hair out because of our noisy kids, and laugh. (Although at the moment it seems a long way away!!)

pinkie08 · 14/10/2008 18:21

Hi everyone,

Am now on cd5 and just one more clomid day to go (tomorrow) am having acupuncture in the morning as its meant to help (who knows).

Vics all i can say is give me a house full of those screaming kids any day.

Cam - i agree you and me both need that one little swimmer. Clomid, acupuncture and DH is on all sorts of vitamins. what more can a girl do.
