he's 3.5. iirc it does take your body a while to calm down again. try testing again in 10d if still no period.

I was diagnosed with endometriosis a few years ago and was told I would prob not concieve naturally. I got with my DP on xmas eve 2006 and was pg by end of Jan obviously shocked but very happy and now have a beautiful little boy. So was assuming dp would only have to look at me and i would be pg but it has been a few months now and nothing, this month tho i am being more positive because I had what I thought were ovulation pains and we timed everything and did it quite a bit (sorry for tmi) so now am convinced I am pg and really symptom spotting it is driving me mad just wish I could forget about it for a bit.
My other problem is I dont have regular periods so dont even know when to test or anything ARRRGGGHHH! Ok rant over

never heard of temping what does it mean? I have tried to go by waht happened with DS. From the dates I was given I fell pg 11 days after my period ended and tested 27 days later with a BFN then tested 29 days with a BFP so going by that I would imagine y ovulation was between 11 and 14 days which is when I got the pains this month so thinking to test at beginning of Sept if i havent got my period (which is quite possible) but how can I wait that long
The last 2 days I have had a really tender belly and some cramping and my boobs are a bit sore but not sure it could just be sickness bug or whatever so not to sure??

temping is where you take your temp every morning. when you ov your temp rises. it may be worth seeing your gp for tips. try to wait as long as possible before testing though (although i know how hard that is)

Thanks Lissielou I will try and take your advice but I know I have no willpower lol. I have seen my GP before but he was no help he said wait until the longest time you have gone without a period and then test, but I have been a year without a period so the baby would be born by then

I know thats good going isnt it The amunt of pg tests I was made to do you think I would have a phobia of them now wouldnt you. But the worst part was after tht year I had a period for 6 months - Oh my body is so messed up!

Oh no you havent had a very good time then! I feel awful for moaning now, we have only been trying a few months so far. Well fingers crossed for you on monday and for 14 days after, make sure you come back and tell me what happens, Ive decided to test on 22nd August (dp bday) cos that will be 16 days after what i think is ov so hopefully will have an extra pressie for him . Just ran down the stairs and my boobs were killing (sorry tmi) but that was the first symptom with DS just hope its not my period coming instead!

I'm on the 2ww and I'm only 4/5dpo and I'm already thinking of when I can test so am joining this in the hope lissie will convince me not to test early. Last few months I haven't bothered testing at all.

I do have some of those first response in. The lying ones that say they are 6 days early when you read they are only 4? How do they get away with lying in their marketing eh?

Anyway am off to France next Friday and will test before I go because if it is BFN then I can have some nice wine and stinky cheese!

okay, should have logged on earlier, but alas no.

I'm CD 26 on cycles of usually about 29 days (but since recent miscarriages have varied a bit).

Started to convince myself I'm pregnant - for the past two days, had really sore / prominent nipples and just had a feeling. Did a test two days ago (how silly was that). It was BFN but when I looked at it a few hours later a thin blue line appeared. Just did another test and BFN again but keeping in case another line turns up.

Obviously far too early but starting to think my feeling was wrong. Have been ttc forever it seems...

How can I stay away from the tests? But when, too, do you think is a reasonable time to test (presuming AF doesn't show, which I'm sure it will)?

Summerwhatsummer, sorry you got a BFN but that doesnt mean you arent pg as it could still be too early, what day is your period due on? What line appeared after a few hours was it the pregnant line? That seems strange but they do say not to read it after 10 mins maybe that is why.

yes it is (or will hopefully be!) my first. If I have a regular cycle this month I'm due on Monday...so long to wait!!!!

And on the early testing, which I feel I shouldn't talk about on this thread (!), it was the PG line which showed up but, like I said, a few hours later...

I did a test even though I wern't going to cuz I know its too early still, obviously it was a BFN. I'm only CD19,this is only technically our first month of trying, second month of knowing abit more about my periods after having my coil out. First period was 29 days second was 34 days, so I could still be pregnany yeah? Convince me please, It's stupid having tests in the hopuse when I'm aware I have no willpower! I "feel" pregnant though, I feel sick, I've got cramping and sore boobs (sorry TMI) I just keep thinking to myself, I could be pregnant, but then again, could mean AF is lurking I'm so frustrated. I can't talk to DP about it, cuz I already did one test too early about 4 days ago, which I made the mistake of telling him about, and he made me feel even more stupid than I felt, cuz he thinks I'm putting too much pressure on us to conceive in the first month of trying. Sorry, I had to get it off my chest...

I'm shattered too littlemischief and absolutely starving but that could be because I'm on a diet and being on diets make you think of food even though you're eating healthily. Like ttc'ing makes you think of symptoms...............
