quick silly newbies question! - if I have "normal" 28 day cycle - would AF be due CD28 or the day after? Still no AF here.

today is CD 28. No AF yet - trying not to get excited and not to knicker check too much!

but.... I take it that if I am due today and if I am preg that I would probably get a bfp if I tested?

probably, but not necessarily. hcg varies a lot from pgto pg and there was a woman on one of these threads a while ago who got a bfp at 6w and bfn's before then.

that said, it may be worth testing on, say, thurs?

don't know if I can hang on that long - but will give it a go. This is terrible! Have been through the phase of definitely thinking I'm preg, to definitely thinking I'm not, to hoping I am... Think I might get a test on way home tonight.

By the way - is anyone else irrationally embarrassed about buying preg tests???

i was at first, in fact only bought them online. but now i dont care, even if people do look at it and think "haha, shes had sex"

Ohhh good luck Nervousal hope you get the BFP you want, I get embarrased, i think its the way people look at you as if they can look at you and tell if you are or not!

Right ladies, Update - DP has just told me my boobs look bigger than normal and they are very tender when touched or moved (by moved i mean like going up and down stairs etc.) but not sore when not in motion
Also have developed to spots on my face today, I never get spots and am quite annoyed by them to be honest unless it is due to being pg and then i dont mind! Trying not to get my hopes up but it is so hard!

Thanks Lissielou - im really hoping I am and I know its silly that i probably wouldnt be getting all these symptoms so early on so they are probaby all in my head but feeling very sicky today and cant even drink my hot chocolate

caved and did a test - BFN. Still no AF though - so we'll wait and see. Was v diappointed at BFN, in terrible mood last night with DP - and he doesn't know why poor thing! DDs first day at school today so that's kept my mind off things.

can i ask a question? is days past ovulation the same or different to days past conception?

Got stomach pains today again but not sure if it is AF pains or (hopefully)something else. Really was going to do a test this morning but DP wants to be with me so I have to wait till sat now but i suppose thats a good thing plus im expecting a BFN anyway so atleast im saving money!

Off to work then into town to find DP pressies for Fri so hopefully will take my mind off it all for a bit.
