TTC August 2026

So I'm pretty much put this month, giving up all hope its happening this month. I know August is still a week away but thought I'd start a thread for the August TTCers.
How's everyone doing?

Like you @SelyakI think I’m at the point of torturing myself with testing. I’ve been having the worst pains but all the tests are saying BFN too. I think it’s probably my adeno that’s causing it so I think I’m defo out this month too.

Hey ladies, I haven’t properly read through the whole thread in the last week or so. I am now 10dpo according to my app, but I only did one LH test this month so not 100% sure. I am massively symptom spotting, even though I barely have any symptoms and I think the ones I do have I’m very likely imagining anyway 😂 around 10 months TTC so feel I’m going slightly crazy by this point! Sorry to hear you’ve been in hospital @inkgirl hope you are feeling better.

4dpo now. Not symptom spotting as that caused me to miss a bladder infection that I’m still on antibiotics for 🙈

Thank you @MochaLove it has been a bit of a rollercoaster! I started LH tracking again yesterday and think I may have stumbled on a surge… I’m going to keep testing in case I never actually ovulated after MMC and I am about to!

When do you plan to test or will you wait? x

The control line and test line need to be same darkness for it to be a positive I believe. I’ve attached one of mine that was a line stealer. And… didn’t dtd that day but two days beforehand. 😅

It’s awful because I know I should stop but I struggle to stop doing it to myself. After I use these last few tests I don’t think I’ll buy anymore just so I can’t test anymore until my period is late

Aww I'm glad. Thank you. Feeling ill again was feeling fine this morning the last few hours been feeling ill again. Tried getting out and about just trying to get back to normal

We’ve DTD today and will try and do next couple of days too 😊

After my MMC I’ve not been able to use these strips until this weekend due to hcg still lingering, so I’m glad I started them again if it is a surge, to be honest I thought I’d be waiting for AF.

I’m typically not an early tester, so I usually wait til I’m between 12-14 dpo. When I had my chemical in April I didn’t even test until I was 15/16dpo as I was so worried about the disappointment, even though my period was late! X

We’ll have to hold each other accountable if we both end up in the September thread 😅

Yep I’m going to leave testing until missed AF, I waited until 15 DPO last time and having a clear positive really helped!

Took a test again this morning. AI said there’s a very faint pink second line when I asked (both chat gpt and Gemini) but I don’t think I can see it 😭 told myself this is the last day I’m testing until Friday (when my period is due)

I'm 13DPO and AF is imminent but not arrived yet so tested and as predicted a BFN. Means I can enjoy a drink for my husband's birthday next week, but also means now no May baby, I'll be at least 34 when I have a child which is not where I wanted to be 😔

I think I can see a line I’m not sure of it’s a bleed from the other line. You can try testing later today and see if the results are clearer.

I caved and bought more tests last night they’re arriving today. I’m not sure what I’m doing to myself other than torturing myself.

Im feeling a bit nauseous today and feel like I’m coming down with something.

It’s not over until AF arrives so don’t give up hope.

My friend said to class the test as invalid due to that and to try again later today. I’ve just started spotting (9DPO) so I definitely think I am out this month. I tend to spot a 2-3 days before my period. Which tests did you buy? Fingers crossed this is your month x

Sorry to hear that, tbh I think I’m out too and feel like I’m just imagining symptoms at this point. It was some cheap ones from Amazon called One step ultra early ones. It has mixed reviews so not holding much hope.

Those are the ones I use. They worked with baby 1 but I was 5+ weeks when I used them so the line came up before the control line
