TTC August 2026

So I'm pretty much put this month, giving up all hope its happening this month. I know August is still a week away but thought I'd start a thread for the August TTCers.
How's everyone doing?

@misslomi this is actually our 1st cycle actively TTC 😅 before we were just not actively trying or not actively preventing either. I know it takes time & doesn’t always happen straight away so trying not to get our hopes up!

@misslomi yeah, I started tracking LH this month! I haven’t been tracking BBT though. What do you use to track?

@SunshineRoo14 I use the One Step ovulation tests and the Premom app to track them. Only my second month of tracking though, never bothered before! I haven't been doing my BBT either but might give it a go next cycle if I don't get pregnant.

@misslomi I bought the one step ones but also the easy home ones after I read some reviews on the one step but thought I’d give both a try 🫣 the easy home ones do come up a lot clearer! I’m using the Premom app too! Do you usually have regular cycles?

@SunshineRoo14 That's interesting! I am almost out of the OneStep so might try them next time, but hopefully I don't need to 😈

Pretty much always had regular cycles...weirdly skipped a period in June but I had a miscarriage earlier in the year and apparently it can take a while for your cycles to get back to normal. Really stressful though!

I tested again this morning, estimating around 15/16 DPO. Pic with flowers in background was 11/12 DPO and likely residual hcg from July MC.

Do you think today’s is slightly darker? And if it is new pregnancy, I am worried it is too light for 15 DPO, does anyone have any experiences good or bad? It’s not a sensitive test just a cheapie.

I contacted my GP for hcg blood check, I’ve had one today and will have another Friday. Hopefully will know more what is going on by the end of the week!

I think that does look ever so slightly darker! I fell pregnant back in May after a miscarriage in April without a period in between and it was a flipping nightmare figuring out what was going on. I had 3 sets of HCG bloods 48 hours apart which were rising which confirmed a new pregnancy. Hopefully you get your results quickly! How sure are you about when you ovulated? Have you got a local EPU you could be referred to? Mine we brilliant with figuring out what was going on x

Thank you @lotusbiscoff! I used the day I passed majority of MC as CD1 and then based ovulation by an increase in CM and libido. So ovulation could be few days later than I thought. Then I noticed cramps DPO 6 & 8 and increase in discharge around this time, which got me hopeful as these were signs when I got pregnant last cycle.

I went to EPU for scans to confirm MMC as I’d had private ones. I wanted to make sure if it is a new pregnancy, whatever happens, it’s on my record. Good idea to contact them again if I need to!

Should I ask for a 3rd blood test?

Definitely looks darker to me...

Weird situation to be in though, definitely right to contact GP.

I have two friends who got pregnant the next month after chemical pregnancies.

Have you had a negative test before the one on the left?

Yes definitely get it recorded, that was my thinking too. I think it’s definitely worth contacting EPU again- mine ran HCG bloods till they were over 2000 I think it was at which point they scanned me so they could see what was going on as they didn’t want to date from the date of my first miscarriage. Have you tried taken one of the clear blue digitals with the week indicators? Might narrow down your dates somewhat 😊 x

Thank you @misslomi, I haven’t had a negative yet, I’ve been testing weekly and it’s been coming down but not fully clear.

I go from feeling hopeful to not at all, mainly down to the uncertainty (and I know if it is a new pregnancy the uncertainty will continue…!)

Oh no, I hadn’t thought to take a digital weeks indicator! Is the number of weeks from ovulation? And you add on 2 weeks to say how far you are from a dating perspective?

Yes we really have been very similar in timing and the cramps as well! Think we were similar DPO as well.

This will be number 3 - I have 5 and 3 year old. So happy for you again 💓

Ahh congratulations @Biyobio and @Babydustthisyear! How exciting!! Im also ttc for no. 3! How long did it take you @Biyobio ? My first two we conceived 1st and 2nd cycles so I was cautiously optimistic it would be fast again but I guess nothing is guaranteed and im overthinking everything! 1dpo today.

Thanks so much @Maybabe256 this was first cycle but had a 'lets see what happens attitude' so maybe the relaxed approach helped even though I was regretting that during ttw 😅. My 1st took 8 cycles and 2nd was 2 cycles.

Yes really really similar ❤️ those cramps were so strange still getting them, but such a relief having the positive, I still want to do a digital test just because I love to see the weeks on it lol! When would be your due date? Mine is showing 30th April so likely May.

awww your children will be all excited, I can’t wait to tell my little girl she’s only 2.5yrs so il be waiting as long as I can otherwise she will ask me everyday 😂😂

I’ve done four one steps today all with a faint line. A first response is a bfn. I’m confused 😅

Your girl will be so excited but at that age no concept of time so I can imagine it'll feel like forever for her.

I've also got a due date of 30th April based on last period but like you think May. My first is a May baby. Im going to hold out of telling the kids as late as possible because they'll end up telling the whole world!

Still having cramps as well but not as strong. I've started feeling nauseous which seems early - its not the whole day but comes in waves. I want to keep it quite for as long as I can - this is likely my last and just want to enjoy it and keep private as long as I can.
