TTC August 2026

So I'm pretty much put this month, giving up all hope its happening this month. I know August is still a week away but thought I'd start a thread for the August TTCers.
How's everyone doing?

I’m only on what I am predicting is 2DPO and the 2ww is killing me already. It was so much easier with DS because he was a complete surprise so I didn’t find out until 5+4

I'm 1dpo today, the tww always feels like "here we go again" and I end up wishing the days away till I can test. Going to try not to obsess over every little twinge this time and keep busy, fingers crossed for you all!

Im probably out this month, still no AF and now been in hospital the last 3 days although was in a&e Thursday evening and Friday evening. They arent letting me out till at least Wednesday

Hey I’m joining this thread (been on other months threads, nothings happened but been a quiet reader for a bit). I’m 8dpo of what I think is cycle 10? Trying for our second! We had a chemical cycle 2 and nothing since. Frustrated. Got my usual sore boobs which have been starting since 2/3dpo ever since my chemical and now today period like cramps so not hopeful. Tried everything to get rid of the sore boobs as convinced it’s showing my hormones aren’t great! Started taking baby aspirin this month just incase it happened to magically help

I'm on a similar timeline to you, cycle 11 with an early loss cycle 3. I'm TTC #1 though. Do you remember how many cycles it took for your first? It's such a frustrating time when so much is out of our control. Do you have a short LP? If you're 8dpo I wouldn't say cramps mean you're out, they could mean anything.

I'm officially at the fertility referral stage. I hate to moan about the NHS but it's so frustrating. My GP said she's referred me for an ultrasound 2.5 weeks ago. I've chased it twice to find out it had never been done. She ordered some blood tests, I've just received a check list from the fertility clinic and found that some are missing and some are wrong- for example TSH instead of TFT. My husband left work early to go to the GP appointment to get his tests ordered only for her to say he needed to book another appt to be ref for a sperm analysis when I know she could have done it there and then. We already had waited a month for that appointment and now he has to wait another month for an appointment to get a sperm analysis referral when there's a 6 month waiting list which he could have been moving up.

The whole NHS process already feels so frustrating. My advice to anyone else is if it's been 9 months get yourself in to the system. We actually exaggerated slightly as we're 10 months in but said we were 12 as we knew it would take a long time. It's frustrating though that it's taking even longer than it should because of lazy mistakes and not checking things properly. If any of you are waiting for tests definitely take control of your own healthcare and make sure they've done everything they're supposed to/said they would.

I would go private but there's a 5 month wait to be seen at the fertility clinic anyway so it's not like paying for the tests will speed anything up.

Im 5dpo, im not going to be testing unless missed period. Dont have much hope with only dtd once, but who knows.

It’s so rubbish, and I will say I feel for you more as I found TTC for my first so much harder than this one as I do have my DD to remind me I was lucky. We took 13 cycles for her so please don’t give up 🙏 we actually conceived her when we went on holiday and then after we got home we went to fertility acupuncture. We’ve booked onto the same lady for this time but she’s booked up until October.

With our DD we never had any losses, we just couldn’t get pregnant. We ended up having to practice really good lifestyles to conceive (which we are both healthy, but we had to do no alcohol and exercise more etc). My LP is usually 12-13 days but I usually get signs of it not working out earlier, think after TTC twice for so long I know my body so well!

12dpo and got a BFP!!! This was cycle 5 TTC baby number 2, absolutely over the moon!! Good luck to everyone else testing this month 💖💙xxx

I’m officially back to 0dpo. I got a dye stealer LH today and lots of egg white mucus. Dtd Sunday but think we are best BD today to maximise chances. Kinda sad I have wait all these two weeks again.
so strange I’ve been feeling so odd this week, never felt like this for ovulation before. Then again I just started setraline and one of the first things it did was make me have a regular cycle! So maybe I’m having stronger hormones now.

Officially 1DPO today. The dreaded TWW is ahead of me, now to distract myself! Anyone else in the TWW?

@SunshineRoo14 Hi! How long have you been trying for? This is cycle 5 for us, if I don't get pregnant this month it'll be the longest its ever taken.
