So I'm pretty much put this month, giving up all hope its happening this month. I know August is still a week away but thought I'd start a thread for the August TTCers.
How's everyone doing?

Thank you so much for this message. It really does help to know I’m not the only one struggling to conceive. And the excitement has been “well and truly beaten out of me” is exactly how I feel. It is really heartbreaking. I feel so worn down and hopeless. I wanted to be giving birth this September. Instead I’m not even pregnant. I never imagined this!

If it helps I have PCOS and endo and I have one dc already. It’s not out the realm of impossibility to conceive :)

I’m dismayed and confused this morning! Today I have thick gel like discharge which is always the norm for my ovulation since coming off the pill last year.
I thought I ovulated last week but my body must be trying again :(
we dtd Sunday and Tuesday last week so I’m worried I’ll miss this second chance now if we don’t do it tonight. And it’s too hot 🤣😭

Sorry to hear you're feeling the same, it really is so hard.
Another of my friends told me she is pregnant today. I can honestly say I'm truly happy for her, she started shortly after we did so I think it's only taken her 5 months or so to conceive.
We have a hycosy booked in a October if nothing happens by then. If you feel like it's all a bit much just remind yourself that these days there's lots they can do to help with conception, although we hopefully won't even need it. I'm sending positive wishes your way too, hopefully not much longer 🩷

We have a 16 month old so it’s definitely possible for us to conceive. It was just annoying that it seems like my body tried to ovulate but failed. I’ve had lower back ache on and off all day so I’m hoping that it’s happening now

That was my thought process last night too. So we did it this morning and hoped it wasn’t too late 😬

my LO was up at 6am so no chance of morning for us 🙈

I had ewcm yesterday and today so it should be happening soon. Hopefully they sleep later tomorrow morning. How old is LO? Mine is 16 months old

Aww no. Hopefully you managed last night despite the hot weather. My son was conceived during a heatwave where we only did it once

Hello, tentatively joining. This is cycle 7 I think, but only the 2nd we've properly tracked and things. (Tracked march/April) Stopped the pill December 2025, periods super regular. My mam died in May after a 6 week illness so had a few months of not properly trying or tracking anything but still in the back of my mind concerned we've not even had a sniff of a positive in 7 months.

Currently 4DPO, fairly certain I ovulate regularly through BBT but can't get a peak higher than 0.6 in premom.

Trying to just be normal and live life (had a few drinks yesterday) and stay relaxed about it...

I’m going to test Tuesday when I’ll be 15 / 16 DPO if no AF. Still showing faint line from July MC so need to wait to ensure if it is positive there’s enough hcg to be stronger than the residual! I stupidly didn’t use a sensitive test as my baseline either! 🤦‍♀️

I'm hopping back on this thread, took a little break from being on forums after AF arrived. This is cycle 11 for me and should ovulate in a few days. I really lost my mind around cycles 7/8 and decided I can't get myself so worked up again so really started to make an effort to relax after that. I have to say though I'm starting to feel less positive again for this cycle. It's so hard to force yourself in to a good mood. This is our 10th month and so far no viable pregnancy! If Einstein's definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result I've officially lost the plot!! 🙄

Hello, im having a very frustrating cycle. Ive not used opks the entire month as i was away and ran out. Was expecting ovulation around cd16 and then I came home and had a peak with an opk cd18 and its cd 21 today and ive just had another peak. Assume that means the first surge failed to release an egg. Im sure thats normal for everyone at some stage but its really got me down thinking that my body just isnt playing ball. Anyone else experiences double surges?

Me! Thought i ovulated last week but i seem to be doing it this week. It’s not timed well with dtd either as we timed it last week :(

Urghh so frustrating. We dtd a lot heading up to the app predicted date and fhen the surge and im feeling done. But ive put in too much work this cycle to give up now. Also a failed LH surge just makes me think that somethings wrong

Hey @Biyobio I’m doing ok, I’m 11dpo, I’m having really tight cramps but no spotting I usually spot coming on to AF around 10/11dpo trying to keep myself calm, I don’t know when to test ideally tomorrow but I might wait to Thursday, my cramps for AF are usually low down these are across my tummy and very tight, still could be AF . How are you doing? Trying to keep myself busy. Sooooo nervous now because starting to get the hopes up again xx all of the baby dust for us over these next few days xx

Hi all, hoping to jump on this thread, I’m TTC I already have a 6 year old. Just looking for a bit of encouragement and sending you all luck too, I’m 35.

I thought I was in good stead for a positive this month, but was relying solely on my cycle app as a tracker to ovulation, however my period arrived yesterday two days early, we had sex regularly through my fertile window, but my cycles are long and I guess we misjudged the best day? tested way too early and got over excited, plus had some spotting a few days before which I convinced myself was early pregnancy sign as I had the same brown spotting with my first pregnancy, and have had very tender breasts which I don’t usually get with my periods, but not meant to be this time.

Anyway back trying again for a second attempt this time I’m tracking my ovulation with tests and looking at my body more and using my app as more of a guide. Although app now says ovulation is around 10th September, which feels ages away. Does anyone else have any tips? And also what ovulation tests buy.

Hi 👋 sorry that this wasn't the month, sending lots of luck for this new cycle! That sounds like a good plan for this cycle ☺️

I just use the cheap one step ovulation test strips from amazon/ebay, always worked well and each time I have fallen pregnant, I had been using these to track my LH surge. I try to keep an eye on physical symptoms like cervical mucus for knowing when my fertile window is and I use an app purely to document my cycles just so I keep track what cycle day I am on and log my tests.
I have tried to do my bbt but I keep forgetting to take my temperature when I wake up 😅

It’s normal for your body to fail to ovulate and try again. It’s also normal for a second LH surge after ovulation. I wouldn’t worry too much. :)

Hi @Babydustthisyear that sounds promising! I've been having cramps like you since Thursday so ended up testing this weekend and got a BFP. The cramps felt different enough it made me test early. Wishing you positive news too ❤️

Cramping again today. Took both an ovulation and pregnancy test. Ovulation was positive (1.24 lh according to premom app), pregnancy test was negative.
I really do think I’m 0dpo not 8dpo so think I’m back at the beginning :(

Trying for baby no.2, currently on 1DPO after getting a positive ovulation surge yesterday. This is cycle 4 for us. I had a miscarriage back in Feb that took a couple of months to recover from and then skipped a period in June. Hoping this will be our month!

33, have a DD7 and my period arrived 2 days early as well. We also thought we’d timed it right.

my cycles aren’t as long (fluctuates between 24 and 28 although had been 24 for ages up until last month so now 28 and then 22 for this cycle)

I’ve heard the ones that you can use alongside premom app are good. I’m going to skip using strips this month and if not successful get some for next time. Planning to just go for it every other day from end of this period to the start of when next one is due (based on app)
