Entering the TWW wait! Whose with me?

Hello, I received my peak OPK reading today (2.43 on premom!). Partner is away until Monday, so we could only baby dance on Wednesday and I'm hoping that will cover it. So I'll be entering my TWW tomorrow or Monday and I'm wondering if there's anyone else in the same boat and in their TWW who wants to join me and wait with me? It can be so stressful and lonely and I'd love to have others to chat with ❤️

Me please! 3 DPO today, TTC for first time and first cycle tracking with ovulation strips so feeling more hopeful that my timing is better this time.

What are you doing to take your mind off it? I was enjoying the daily LH testing and analysing in the previous week!

HanRose23 · 30/05/2026 16:49

Hello! ☺️ so glad I have someone to talk to!
Fingers crossed for you, I'm sure you have a bit more peace of time now that you're tracking this month. I came off BC 6 weeks ago and this is my first positive OPK, but like I said we could only do the deed once so not feeling hopeful at all!

I don't know to be honest, I'm so obsessive and am thinking about it all the time. I'm going to do my best to keep busy with work, reading and some hobbies. What about you? xx

Hello! Can I join too? I am 2 or 3 DPO (tracked slightly wrong times of the day so not fully sure, but had ovulation pains on Wed this week).
keeping fingers crossed for everyone this month!! Totally agree that the whole TTC process can feel so isolating sometimes - feel it preoccupies so much of my mind but not many people to actually talk to about it!

Springcloud26 · 30/05/2026 22:08

@HanRose23 fingers crossed for you! Same, I will keep myself busy with work, reading, and some nice walks.

@GreenApple121 welcome and good luck for this cycle too! I don’t think I’ve felt ovulation pain before, it’s the first time I’ve tracked ovulation timing using OPK strips so interested to know how long my luteal phase is. Cycles are usually 29-32 days but I think I ovulated around CD 23 this month. I’m learning more each cycle!

GreenApple121 · 30/05/2026 22:24

Are you ladies trying for your first?

@Springcloud26 I seem to always get ovulation pains (except for last cycle weirdly?) - quite intense pain on either side each month around when my LH strips show a surge. But I’ve never done temperature tracking so not sure if I ovulate on THAT day or next day (or somewhere in between!)
haha there is definitely so much to learn about how the body works through this TTC process!!

HanRose23 · 30/05/2026 22:33

@GreenApple121 hello! Welcome ☺️ yes trying for my first! What about you? Quite exciting but also nerve-wracking, and I'm really quite stressed 😅 I have had really bad ovulation pain today and yesterday in both sides! Usually it's just one side (usually my left) but it's been both this month so not sure what that means! So you're 3 dpo then? Keeping everything crossed for you! How are you feeling? Xx
@Springcloud26 yes, we need to try and keep as busy as possible but I think I will start spiraling soon haha! When are you planning on testing girls?

OP posts:
GreenApple121 · 30/05/2026 22:39

@HanRose23 best of luck to you too! Not sure what the pain on both sides means, haven’t had that myself. Maybe twins?! 😂
Im trying for my second. Got a DD who is 9. Took my husband a while to feel ready for second. Fell pregnant first try with my daughter, but this journey has been a bit more complicated with an early miscarriage in September sadly.
im planning to test early this month as I have a scan booked for around when my period is due, so just want to know where I am ahead of it.
what about you both??

Springcloud26 · 30/05/2026 22:44

@GreenApple121 Yep it’s my first time, been trying since the start of the year. But now think I haven’t timed previous cycles very well! Sorry to hear about your early miscarriage, that must have been really tough.

@HanRose23 I think if I can I will hold out for my missed period, but I know I will be tempted to test sooner! I had a weird 39 day cycle in March and tested when I was a week late, BFN. It was really confusing as I am usually very regular but was quite stressed in work at the time, which may have caused it…

HanRose23 · 30/05/2026 23:01

@GreenApple121 sorry to hear about your miscarriage lovely, that must of been really tough. That's great that you have a scan booked in too! Keep us updated on here whenever you can. Oh goodness, we have loads of twins in the family 🙉
@GreenApple121 @Springcloud26 I'm going to try hold out on testing as much as possible but I know I'll give in early most likely! 😅 it's tricky because I don't really know my cycle yet since coming off the pill but I should get a period in about 2 weeks since I've ovulated this weekend! @Springcloud26 work must of stressed you out causing your cycle to play up. What do you do for work? Xx

OP posts:
GreenApple121 · 30/05/2026 23:27

Thank you both! It was really tough and I took about 3 months off TTC following the miscarriage to recover. Now been back to trying since around January.
I went to my GP last month and she was very sweet and booked me in for some blood tests and scan. Not sure what to do about my scan though, as it now falls on CD1 of next cycle, not sure I want to be having a scan on my period! But worried if I try to change it, they’ll give me a date in distant future…
@HanRose23 haha I also tell myself I won’t test early but cave in every month 😅

Springcloud26 · 31/05/2026 07:12

@HanRose23 I’m in an office-based role! Hopefully it was a one-off, although this cycle is looking like it may be longer and I’ve been fairly calm! Now I’m tracking LH, I guess it’s easier to catch the surge if cycles do shift each month.

@GreenApple121 oh that’s a tricky one! That’s good that you were offered the tests. I may see my gp if nothing happens in a few months as I’m over 35.

HanRose23 · 31/05/2026 15:38

@GreenApple121 @Springcloud26 how are you both feeling today? I'm 1dpo today 😅 so the wait begins? I know it's still ridiculously early but are any of you feeling anything yet?

OP posts:
Springcloud26 · 31/05/2026 15:59

@HanRose23 I’m 4DPO - I thought I noticed my skin (face) glowing more today, which after talking to Chat GPT could be progesterone? But I know that rises in both pregnant and non-pregnant cycles and so way too early to tell! I was trying to work out when the implantation period would be if it happens, but I think at least a couple more days for that. I’m sure I will read into every twinge at that point!! How about you?

HanRose23 · 31/05/2026 16:03

@Springcloud26 yes I think implantation usually occurs around 6-12 dpo but more commonly 8-10 dpo (just read that online!) Here is to hoping that your glowy skin is a positive sign! 💫
I've been abit tearful today, just so scared we missed our window and still got some twinges but nothing compared to the pain of last night.

OP posts:
Springcloud26 · 31/05/2026 16:35

@HanRose23 ahh sorry to hear you are feeling tearful, you’ve definitely got a chance with that timing. 🤞 It’s hard isn’t it trying to optimise everything. I missed actual ovulation day but covered the two days before and day after.

I hope the twinges settle down for you.

Are you taking supplements? I spent ages yesterday researching and ended up buying Omega 3 and CoQ-10 to add to the vit d & folic acid vitamins I’m already taking. I think it was the need to control something again in this waiting period more than anything else!

GreenApple121 · 31/05/2026 16:57

@Springcloud26 @HanRose23
Im guessing I am 4DPO today as well! Nothing too different - been quite tired and hungry yesterday but read that it can be signs of progesterone rising…
with my daughter I had no symptoms at all (but also wasn’t really symptom spotting!) but with my miscarriage I had some very specific symptoms (taste of metal in my mouth around 8 DPO). So who knows!!
either way it’s nice to have a chat about it rather than ruminate over this stuff in my head 😂

HanRose23 · 31/05/2026 18:03

@Springcloud26 no, only taking folic acid with vit D at the moment! Oohh I need to do some research into that and go buy some. Thank you for the suggestion! Absolutely, I totally agree with you on the feeling of needing to control something as this is just out of our hands now isn't it! Ahh it's so tormenting! Xx
@GreenApple121 absolutely, so grateful to have you ladies to chat with and my share my thoughts. I'm so in my head about it all, don't know how I'm going to survive 2 weeks 😅 got work tomorrow and the rest of the week/weekend so that will hopefully take my mind of it all xx

@HanRose23 @GreenApple121 I’m also desperate to get myself a bit fitter e.g starting some weights / more cardio. Currently I’m only walking & Pilates every now and again, so I’m worried about starting anything that will put additional strain on my body during this time. What do you think, am I overthinking or best to keep it gentle for now?

GreenApple121 · 31/05/2026 19:15

I also take the same supplements, and have read that Ubiquinol is a more accessible form of Co Q10 - more easily absorbed or something along those lines. (Annoyingly more expensive though)
are you both in UK? if so, Holland & B have good deals often

@GreenApple121 oh yes in UK, will take a look at that in H&B, thank you!

It’s such a good point! I’m actually thinking the opposite for myself to try this month - I.e only sticking with gentle workouts…
my job is quite tiring and I’m wondering if I shouldn’t do excessive stuff to put strain on myself. Going to carry on with Pilates and maybe do some swimming (which find relaxing and enjoyable).
what are you ladies thinking?

HanRose23 · 31/05/2026 19:35

@GreenApple121 @Springcloud26 yes I'm in Lancashire! Will have to look in H&B this week.
I agree to perhaps take it a bit slower the next few weeks! Perhaps just gentle walks, stretching, yoga/pilates etc. My job is also super strenuous at times so I don't want to add to that. But, at the end of the day you just do what feels right for your body and what you feel you need. Xx

HanRose23 · 31/05/2026 19:36

@GreenApple121 @Springcloud26 I've heard that exercise and activity is also important during these next few weeks so it's a difficult balance! Just going to listen to my body. Have work at 8am tomorrow, so going to wake up early and take a sunrise stroll.

OP posts:
Springcloud26 · 31/05/2026 19:38

Oh yes swimming is a good shout, I enjoy it too but not been in a while (other than on holiday to keep cool!). Like you say, it’s gentle but a good overall workout.
