Hi guys! Opening a thread for those ttc in the new year! I'll be starting again after an MMC in November, fingers crossed that this'll be a lucky year for all!

My first period after was pretty short, more spotting and less 'flow' if that makes sense. I've only had one so far though, so this month could be different.

Happy New Year everyone!! I woke up after crazy dreams about being pregnant and going into labour and then woke up with a sore tummy... bodies are wild!! Wishing everyone the best for 2026!

First test10 dpo, I was hoping to last until at least Sunday but here we are. So I bought a pack of two cheapies, did this one at 1pm. Did another just there to make sure and it was stark negitive not even a squinter. This one came up even before the control line did so I wonder is it just a dud. It is pink in colour, what do ye think?

This looks really good! Are the other tests the same kind? Maybe they are less sensitive?

Hi @Anya23 thanks for your reply, the second test was from the same pack. These are early detection 6days before period ones. I know not first urine for second one but I thought I'd get a hint of a line I wasn't expecting it to be as dark given the time of day

That's weird! The one on the photo doesn't seem to be an evap line, as it clearly has color, so I don't know.. I'd retest later in the day if you can hold it a few hours, to see what's up, because that seems pretty positive to me!

Fingers crossed @Washingmachine22my test with my first pregnancy were like that. I would say test tomorrow morning with FMU 🤞

AF 7 days late with no symptoms of arriving however completely blank tests. No idea if/when I ovulated due to PCOS.

due to go on letrozole in march so if it doesn’t happen before it’s not the end of the world

I’ve gotten so totally in my own head this month. I’m 7/8dpo I think (didn’t fully track just followed EWCM + pains) and I just am symptom watching everything!! Keep getting twinges / crampy pains that then go away when I concentrate on them and I’m sure it’s just wind or actual pms cramps, and then I get soo down! Just don’t feel too hopeful now! Is it normal to get cramps this early on if it’s pms?

I know exactly how you feel @Glittertint. Yes it is usual to get cramps in PMS. The rise in progesterone after ovulation can cause many weird and wonderful things that mimic early pregnancy. It could be that you have had similar previously but because you have not been watching and waiting for it you haven’t noticed? It could also be pregnancy?! It’s one of those cruel biological things that come along with the tww. Sorry if this doesn’t bring you comfort but know I am doing the exact same as I am pretty sure lots of people in this chat are too! Hopefully we can get around each other to help when having these moments but also, celebrate for each other when we get our BFP’s xx

@MyPeppyLimeBear Im struggling to see the line, sorry. But often faint lines don’t photograph well when there definitely is something there in real life!
I saw you said you have PCOS. How long are your cycles usually?

This is the same photo inverted. I definitely think it’s an evap as the line is so so thin.

it varies to be honest - sometimes 2 weeks, sometimes a month sometimes longer

Oooh, might be able to see something on the inverted image? Fingers crossed for you! Clear blue aren’t the best for evaps, it’s so cruel.
Wow, that is a really mix of cycle length!! I also have PCOS but seem to have a pretty consistent 60ish day cycle at the moment. Does tracking CM or using LH strips work for you? I think I’m going to start using LH strips for the next cycle.

Good morning, thanks so much for support and advice yesterday. Did another test this morning with fmu and nothing so unfortunately it was probably flooding or a really bad test. So disappointed that I got my hopes up, of all the tests I've done over the years I've never gotten a hint of a line unless I was actually pregnant. On to the next cycle I guess wishing everyone the best of luck for the month of Jan

I’m also out. Day 11 post ovulation and a BFN. Expecting AF Sunday I think. Wishing everyone the best of luck for the rest of Jan!

Thanks everyone! I’m 9dpo and it’s helped me reframed my thoughts that it doesn’t mean I’m in/out either way! Feel like I’m waiting for some magical sign that shows me, I looked back at the month I conceived my DD and I actually had no signs until 15/16dpo, and chatgpt also told me that you can implant as late as 11-12dpo! So I’m going to just wait for a missed period! ☺️

Loving all the good vibes here and wishing everyone luck on this cycle! My app just decided that I ovulated earlier than I thought, so it looks like we missed those key days leading up to ovulation! I am gutted as I thought we'd planned it all out well this cycle and now it feels like a bit of a waste! Allowed myself to feel annoyed about it for a few mins this morning and going to think positive now and remember there is always next cycle!

I still don’t know if I’m 7DPO or eating to ovulate 😂. Chat GPT is telling me that I ovulated on the 27th and I do think it would be strange for me to still be waiting so will see what this month to brings.

its important that you let yourself feel the emotions of being frustrated and it’s amazing that you were able to process it and move forward with positivity!

keep us updated how you get on later in your cycle

my apps keep changing too so I don’t know at the moment if it’s well timed or completely missed. Going to just wait and see. Keep trying to tel myself that whether I test or not, it won’t change the outcome! I’m terrible at delayed gratification though 😂 xx
