Hi guys! Opening a thread for those ttc in the new year! I'll be starting again after an MMC in November, fingers crossed that this'll be a lucky year for all!

I’ve been doing LH tests for about a week ready to ovulate this week. Premom said I am due to ovulate this Friday and it was accurate last cycle so I’ve been following that. Just done a LH test and it’s starting to rise so now it’s changed my predicted ovulation date to Wednesday! Now I’m like okay need to get BD-ing 😰😂 starting today and gonna see if DH is up to doing it every day until day after ovulation 😰😂

@Jill4578 oh I definitely see a line it’s not in your head. I’m exactly the same, I couldn’t sleep last night with thinking about it and I woke this morning to what I think are positive tests. Have a look and see 😂 I am 9dpo so I know it’s going to be light but it’s not that light in real life!

omg this could literally be my test😂 we shall have to compare tomorrow morning lol let’s pray for darker lines🤞

I finally started spotting so AF should be here tomorrow. My LP was one day longer this cycle but I think that's because of the MC still!

@Jill4578 well I’m completely out of tests 😂 need to go into town and buy some more as I do want to keep checking for line progression as I had a chemical a few years back and it’s horrible.

It’s almost a relief when it goes back to normal isn’t. Least you can move on the next cycle now you know AF is coming. Hopefully the next cycle will be the one!😊
According to the LH strips I must of peaked over night. DH isn’t feeling 100% but felt well enough to take a slightly longer lunch break since he’s WFH today 😂

I hate that initial spotting! I’d much rather it just arrive and stop prolonging the misery 😂
Can the d&c cause heavier periods? I’m not clued up on that as I passed everything naturally and the EPU didn’t really explain any other options to me if that didn’t occur.

@EmeraldPieThey can be heavier but also lighter because they remove everything thoroughly. My first period was quite normal luckily, I was just afraid this cycle because I knew I wasn't pregnant and I was afraid that if my period doesn't come in time, I have adhesions from the D&C 😂I really should just stop reading about everything online, but I might get it checked out next cycle if we don't conceive, as I don't want to waste months again in case something really is up. I hate that I worry about every small thing!

My tests are looking a little lighter this evening 😢😢 is this a sign of a chemical? Maybe it’s just too diluted and may be darker in the morning. I’m dreading having another chemical 😢

I wouldn't retest in the evening! Test tomorrow morning, or what'd be best, test in two days, but in the morning, to see if it got darker

@Anya23 yea I’m just going crazy lol it’s so hard not to test 🫣

I know, I did the same with my last pregnancy 😂unfortunately that turned into an MMC, but with that pregnancy the line only got darker every three days, so it was actually slow!

Test in the morning or Wednesday morning, try to stay positive

Looking for advice!! I’m CD13 and still not found a peak… how much do I believe the numbers on these tests as they don’t all look that much different but I seem to go up to 0.4ish and back down? I usually ovulate CD14/15 so not really sure what’s going on?

is it just too early to tell? I’ve had no EWCM too, but increased creamy/wet CM today which sort of looked like between normal and EWCM but wasn’t as much as usual? I’ve been trying to drink more water

@Jill4578 yea I’m gonna test tomorrow 😬 when I had my first child I did one test and was so happy didn’t do any other tests, now I’m too aware of all the little problems that can occur. It’s exhausting isn’t it 😂

@Glittertint how long are your cycles usually?

@Glittertint From the ovulation tests I would say you haven’t ovulated yet? You’ve been testing regularly enough that you should catch a much higher peak. I think when the ovulation peak happens it can kind of happen out of nowhere, not like pregnancy test which steadily get darker. So I’d keep testing.

Hopefully you start to see a rise tomorrow! It might be that you have a very quick peak without much rise. The other month I tested in the evening at about 11:30pm and it was 0.41 then I tested the next morning at 9:30am and it was 1.78 which was my peak. It felt like it came from nowhere!

@Anya23 Makes sense, try another cycle and then assess things from there. It's totally understandable if you've had a procedure like that, after all, its a potential side effect! But of course, not to say anything will be wrong and I've heard of many conceiving soon after a D&C. Even though mine was natural, I still feel very traumatised by it all to be honest, it's like my body tricked me and just so hard to 'envisage' an uncomplicated pregnancy.... like going for a scan that would be good news/normal. hearing a heartbeat etc. getting to 12, 20 week mark etc It's really sad :(

I'm sure it'll happen soon! I just don't know how we'll not worry throughout the whole pregnancy lol, I'm sure it'll be stressful, but I hope it happens soon!

It seems like I’m definitely having a chemical, the clear blue test is so light but the Asda one is dark enough for 10pm but I haven’t been tracking using them so I’ve nothing to compare it to.

How sensitive is the clearblue one? Are they both evening tests?

@Anya23 the clear blue is the early detection ones and my line yesterday morning was darker. Both of those tests are this morning.

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy @Coco9910 ah this is reassuring! I honestly don’t know what’s going on as my temp has also risen this morning too but I did have a rough night with my toddler! I’ll see if my LH rises today! This is my first cycle doing OPKs so now I’m concerned im not actually properly ovulating?
