Letrozole / Clomid 2026

Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd see if anyone else is planning to TTC with the help of ovulation induction in 2026.

Am 33, PCOS, have a lovely 16 month old boy conceived on letrozole, have been not using contraception since his birth with no success... so I think it's time to go on the meds again. Got in contact with the GP yesterday, waiting for a call back and hopefully a referral to the fertility team.

Will have to stop breastfeeding which I feel pretty sad about. But hopefully will be worth it in the end. ❤️ 👶🏻

@JLP256ah we’re so similar with dpo, I think I’m one day behind. Tempted to buy a FRER and test tomorrow but might just wait till Tuesday (12dpo) and try a strip test in the first instance. Have gone and got a private let prescription but have decided I’m not ready to quit breastfeeding in time for it to start next week (if I’m not pregnant!) so takes the pressure off a little bit getting pregnant naturally this month - have one month of breastfeeding and trying naturally
before finally pulling plug. What are you planning on doing re testing? X

Not yet, but my tests have been quite a bit darker today. Last couple of months I’ve got my peak on day 16, and currently on day 14 so feeling slightly more hopeful! 🤞🏼

@graceinc22 I ended up testing today and got a BFN, pretty disappointed! I’m 13DPO I think. Period is due today/tomorrow so there’s a tiny sliver of hope still, but assuming I’m out for this month. Got my consultant call on Tuesday so will see what they say about next steps if month 3 doesn’t work either.

Sounds like a sensible plan with your prescription and waiting a month, you never know it could happen before you start taking it! Are you still planning on testing on Tuesday?

i ended up caving and testing yesterday at 9/10DPO on a wondfo strip. Negative. Am hoping I might still be in with a chance but preparing myself.

it’s hard isn’t it when other people you know are getting pregnant so quickly. A close friend and my SIL recently both on the first proper try! Am gearing up for this being a long road again and already going ahead in my mind to ‘what if letrozole doesn’t work’ (I don’t think I’d want to do ivf). But I know that’s going ahead of myself and I’m so blessed to have the one I have.

Girls I’ve just had a v v fl at 11/12 dpo… can’t tell if an indent or positive. It was on some wondfo tests I bought from Amazon (the reviews are mixed with some concerns about indents). Going to buy a boots early detection when the shops open!! Steeling myself that it may well be negative or just too early.

Yes this! It’s so faint but just about visible to the eye. Edges are a bit soft which makes me worry it’s an indent. But looks just about pink

negative on boots early detection!!! Maybe won’t use wonfos again or at least when early testing. Let’s see in the next day or two what happens x

Think there’s the faintest faintest shadow here but could be my eyes / indent. Will just have to wait 48h!!! Ugh 2ww is so hard x

@graceinc22 ah! I see it on the first test 👀 I test with them and never had any idents or evaps so 🤞 it’s just an early positive for you! I’d test using the cheapies again in the morning 🙈

I can see it! Those tests are supposed to be pretty good. It may have been that your urine was more diluted for the Boots test? Definitely try again in a day or two, really hopeful for you! x

Now the boots one has dried, there is a small pink line. I know it’s not a valid test anymore as it’s out of the test window. Just would like clarity. Have bought some FRERs and will try to wait until Thursday morning 🤞

@Em3009@Janey3090@JLP256thank you so much for your kind words!! I feel excited about what could possibly be but it’s all so unclear. I have been feeling the kind of cramps I had in my last pregnancy early on but could be psychological / pre menstrual. Really going to try to hold out until Thursday and do FRER then, so that it’s more definitely. Will be really shocked if it turns out that I am pregnant naturally as I tried for so many cycles before my previous pregnancies and nothing happened, and this time I’m breastfeeding which suppresses fertility!

How did your consultant call go @JLP256? x

weirdly for me AF arrived naturally this morning - I haven’t had one without taking medication to induce it for around a year! Really weird not sure what to think haha!

Couldn’t wait till morning…. Just got a positive FRER!! Now worrying about the line being thin but the instructions were clear that a thin line is still positive!!! Cannot believe this happened and happened naturally. Will have a 2 year 3 month age gap (all going well). Whatttt 🤣❤️

Definitely don't worry about the line being thin, my line looked like that with my DD and she's a very healthy, happy 3 year old now! FRER's are really good at showing progression too xx
