Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd see if anyone else is planning to TTC with the help of ovulation induction in 2026.

Am 33, PCOS, have a lovely 16 month old boy conceived on letrozole, have been not using contraception since his birth with no success... so I think it's time to go on the meds again. Got in contact with the GP yesterday, waiting for a call back and hopefully a referral to the fertility team.

Will have to stop breastfeeding which I feel pretty sad about. But hopefully will be worth it in the end. ❤️ 👶🏻

Hello! Similar situation here - TTC for around 15 months and have just been prescribed Letrozole. I have polycystic ovaries but basically it’s unexplained infertility. I already have a 3yo and I’d actually been prescribed Letrozole last time but conceived the cycle before I was due to start! I was hoping the same would happen this time but no joy ha. I’m actually on CD1 so due to take my first dose tomorrow! Hoping for a Christmas miracle and hopefully minimal side effects…

I hope the referral moves quickly for you @graceinc22 !

Good luck!!

I can't remember ever having side effects of let, I think once I had a headache but didn't get it again so probably was just a headache!!

🤞🤞🤞 age definitely on your side. I remember going to all the fertility appointments the first time round and they all seems quite chill and hopeful that i would end up having a baby (obviously I didn't feel like that!!)

Em3009 · 26/12/2025 08:25

@graceinc22 yes they defiantly seemed very chilled about it! 🤣🙈

how many cycles did you do before it worked for you? :)

graceinc22 · 26/12/2025 20:48

@Em3009 first time round, I got pregnant on the third cycle. Sadly lost that baby the week of the 12 wee scan. Then I went back on as soon as I got my period back, and got pregnant with my little boy the first cycle

So it worked so well for me!! Despite my husband having low morphology (which didn't seem to make any difference at all once my ovulation issues were sorted)

Im excited to get back on it but if it doesn't work quickly I think I will struggle with patience!!

OP posts:
Em3009 · 27/12/2025 07:09

@graceinc22 I’m sorry you had a loss 💔 but how lovely it worked out for you!

that sounds similar to us! My husband has low morphology so it’s reassuring to hear that it didn’t make a difference 🤞

haha patience will be my issue too! Already impatient waiting 😅

JLP256 · 27/12/2025 09:34

Hi ladies, hope you had a nice Christmas. I’m also so impatient, I find the waiting one of the toughest part of TTC! My husband had similar results so it’s reassuring to hear it was still all ok. When I spoke to the fertility specialist they didn’t seem too bothered about it.

On CD5 so just one more day of letrozole this cycle, waiting for it to work its magic 😅.

Em3009 · 27/12/2025 09:50

@JLP256 Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞

Janey3090 · 02/01/2026 16:57

Hi ladies! Also on letrozole to try and conceive baby no 2 (have a 3 year old DD). On my third round now - first two rounds resulted in ovulation but no BFP, so I’m hoping for third time lucky! Xx

Em3009 · 02/01/2026 20:16

@Janey3090 ah keeping my fingers crossed for you! How are you finding it? X

Em3009 · 12/01/2026 11:08

@JLP256 How are you getting on this cycle with the Letrozole? :) x

Em3009 · 12/01/2026 11:08

@JLP256 How are you getting on this cycle with the Letrozole? :) x

Hey, thanks for asking, I’m on CD21 now and have my blood test tomorrow to confirm ovulation so fingers crossed. I drove myself a bit mad with OPKs because I never got a positive test this month and I usually would be CD14/15, but apparently the peak can be shorter on letrozole so not picked up - really hoping that’s true! TTC really messes with your head.

How are you getting on - do you have your Hycosy soon?

Em3009 · 13/01/2026 08:05

@JLP256 oh let me know how you get on! Fingers crossed 🤞

yes it’s next Tuesday! I’m a little nervous not sure why 😅

graceinc22 · 07/02/2026 20:38

How is everyone doing?

I got fed up waiting for my nhs referral (ovet a month now and still haven't heard about an appointment date or any tests to do beforehand). So I've booked in to see someone privately next Thursday. I think I ovulated on Thursday (ish) this week so am really really hoping maybe that will come to something, I really don't want to stop breastfeeding which I'd have to do to go on let. And my little boy has been ill this week which will make it much more difficult to stop in time to start next cycle! Let's see 🤞

OP posts:
Em3009 · 08/02/2026 06:06

@graceinc22 I don’t blame you, it does feel like you are always waiting for something for the nhs appointments doesn’t it! Keeping everything crossed for you for natural still 🤞

I had my Hycosy coming up to 3 weeks ago, it looks like one of my tubes is blocked but they said that’s not an issue although it just feels like another thing not in our favour to me 🙃 still waiting for our next appointment to come through as this is the one we should be prescribed treatment! X

JLP256 · 08/02/2026 09:13

Hope the appointment goes well @graceinc22 and that you get your next date soon @Em3009 !

I’m on my second cycle of letrozole now, currently in the TWW. I went back to using the cheapie OPKs twice a day rather than the digital ones which reassured me a bit more. Had a blood test during cycle 1 to see if I ovulated but the follow up call isn’t for a couple of weeks so it’s all just a waiting game. Doesn’t help that my little boy has started saying all the time that he wants a baby - it’s like he knows 😅

Em3009 · 08/02/2026 15:33

@JLP256 how are you feeling? Any side effects? :) 🤞 for this cycle x

graceinc22 · 09/02/2026 16:37

@JLP256fingers crossed for your TWW! How far through are you? How are you feeling about it all? When are you going to test? X

i think I ovulated naturally last week (on CD22) and so am 4 DPO. Already keep thinking about testing (will try to hold out to 14 DPO but might cave at 12 if my period hasn’t already started). Objectively I know my chances are low because I didn’t conceive without letrozole last time even after months and months of apparent ovulation (positive OPKs, CM and BBT rise) - I think I need to be on let to prepare my body properly - but still really hoping!!

graceinc22 · 09/02/2026 16:40

@Em3009fingers crossed for a quick appointment for you!! Gutting re the one tube being blocked, I’ve heard loads of stories though about conception being successful even when only one tube works, I think I read about how the one working tube can move back and forth to bring the egg to the uterus from the right ovary! Hoping it makes no difference to you and things are straightforward from now on x

OP posts:
JLP256 · 11/02/2026 21:33

@graceinc22 @Em3009 Feeling ok thanks! I was pretty gutted when I got my period last month, feeling a bit more hopeful this month because at least I got a peak on my OPKs. I’m 7DPO today, I’ve got my call with the consultant on Tuesday so will probably test before that so I know where I stand! Trying my hardest not to symptom spot! Keeping everything crossed for you both x

Janey3090 · 12/02/2026 10:16

CD12 here and my LH levels are still really low. Ovulation the last couple of months has been CD16/17, and LH levels are normally higher by this point so not feeling hopeful at all! It is my 4th cycle now though, so wondering if it's no longer having a strong affect on me, or just an ineffective month.

Em3009 · 12/02/2026 10:44

@graceinc22 how are you getting on now? Have you tested yet?

@JLP256 keeping everything crossed for you this cycle 🤞

@Janey3090 hopefully your peak comes along soon! What dosage are you on? X

Thank you! I'm on 5mg, it's been working well for me so my doctor has kept me on that, though I'm not so sure if it is working this time!

Have you had any updates on when you can start your treatment? xx

Em3009 · 12/02/2026 19:34

@Janey3090 just seems typical in this journey doesn’t it!

Nothing yet, I’m planning on calling the clinic early next week to see if there are any updates on our next appointment 🤞
