TWW feels like forever

WHY does the TWW feel like forever?! I thought I was 7dpo then I actually hit my peak late, and now I’m 3dpo and just want to test😂 fertile window being 28th-2nd with ovulation on 3rd and BD every other day so really hoping it’s done the trick. Had a chemical on Nov 10th. Did anyone fall pregnant the cycle after a chemical?

I had a rubbish morning all I could think about was how awful the tww is and trying to symptom spot etc. But I had some distraction this afternoon and evening as my poor little 14mo has been ill with a sickness bug since Monday and decided he wanted to pass the time projectile vomiting all over me 😅2 baths, a load of washing and a whole tub of bicarb later he is settled asleep. His little sad face, poor sausage. And I want another one!

PandaLife · 12/12/2025 07:36

I have some odd symptoms at the mo. I have urinated more in the last four days than I have done all month, not a UTI and I’m not drinking anymore than I usually do. I am absolutely shattered too and yesterday had lower stomach pains. I know it could also be luteal symptoms.. but I’ve never had the increased urination before. We’ll see. I’m very tempted to test this weekend 🙈 a little distracted and feel sorry for myself at the mo because I had a large molar removed yesterday which was horrible. I had the wisdom tooth removed on the same row earlier this year so I thought this would be a breeze .. nope. It was worse.

It’s awful when little one’s get sickness bugs. Hopefully it passes soon :)

SKLM · 12/12/2025 10:49

Morning everyone! How are people doing? I'm taking my little boy to the doctor later, we are on day 4 of him hardly eating and drinking (and throwing up what he does)and with a high fever. It feels like the flu to me, but it makes you worry doesn't it when they are so small.

@PandaLife ouch. Sorry to hear about the dental pain.. I remember having my wisdom teeth taking out in the dentist's chair. 10 years ago and I still remember the recovery, I hope you are feeling a bit better today X

Can relate to where you are with symptoms. I am having a few but they are very similar to my pms/luteal ones and tbh if I am pregnant I may have only just had implantation or maybe not even yet so they can't be early pregnancy. I first got ovulation symptoms last Thursday and got my peak ovulation test first thing last Saturday. I feel I probably peaked the day before on the Friday though. So I suppose in reality, I could have ovulated any time towards the end of last week.

A very boring pic of where I am with my dates!

@PandaLife defo take a test and sorry to hear about the dentist I hope you recover soon xx

@SKLM what a wee shame. Very weird because someone I know who had the flu also had very sicky tummy too. Flu is weird this year.

my boobs have finally started hurting today! This is the latest that has ever started, usually my boobs get sore very quick. I had some pains yesterday which could have been implantation but could just be random too! And i booked a private ultrasound tomorrow bc I wasn’t sure if I ovulated and I wanted to see what was going on 😂 the random things I do man

SKLM · 12/12/2025 13:56

@Plumchumm oooh interesting development! Are you going to take a test?

Plumchumm · 12/12/2025 14:03

@SKLM it’s still too early at 9dpo I really don’t wanna be examining the lines or feel distraught if it’s not positive, as it’s not definitive at this point anyway.
but tomorrow would be 2 days after my ‘implantation pains’ so I may test tomorrow maybe.
have you felt anything stand out? X

Sorry to hear about your little one. It’s been a long time for sickness so I think taking him to see a doctor is the best thing to do. My husband and I caught either flu or this covid strain people talk about, in October and that a mixture of flu symptoms as well as d&v. It was odd. And horrendous! Overall lasted almost two weeks before we both felt normal again. I’ve heard of others with very similar symptoms, so maybe he has something similar to that?

I caved and took a test this afternoon, full well knowing it’s too early. Negative. I’m going to try my best to wait until at least Wednesday next week!!

PandaLife · 12/12/2025 14:08

@Plumchumm let us know how the ultrasound goes tomorrow. I have similar symptoms, noticed lower pains starting yesterday and today it felt around my hips. My last period started on the 24th November so I know that next week is the time to test .. not this week 🙈

SKLM · 12/12/2025 14:30

@Plumchumm yeah you are right about testing too early. I hope your ultrasound goes well x. Nothing is really standing out for me. It's tough as I feel generally unwell, I think with a very mild version of what my son has minus the d and v. I am getting period like stomach cramps and some back ache. My cycles really vary PMS wise so I don't know how much I usually get these two symptoms. Enough to drive you crazy isn't it!

SKLM · 12/12/2025 15:30

Okay so. About an hour ago I started having period like cramps lower abdomen. Then had dull aches/pressure in my left hip and top of my left thigh. I started to feel a bit queasy. Am laying down in bed and just had two short sharp needle like pains in my left lower abdomen. They have stopped now and this achey feeling of pressure is remaining. I'm 6-7dpo and just hoping this is implantation, I've never had anything like it.

Plumchumm · 12/12/2025 16:21

@SKLM that's exactly what i felt yesterday! i had period cramps the night before and in the morning, then around afternoon i had those sharp pinching pains in the middle/left of my uterus. here's hoping! x

ttcfirsttime26 · 12/12/2025 18:46

So, really weird for me because I’ve had on and off twinges almost every day since ovulation in the low right hand side mainly but occasionally on the left side and then across the lower middle. Never ever noticed these before (though this is my first cycle TTC so maybe I’m just more aware because I’m trying to figure it all out 🤷🏼‍♀️)
I felt really bloated on 1,2 and 3dpo then 4dpo (still bloated) but woke up with a headache, felt super tired through the day and nauseous, 5dpo nauseous and tired, 6dpo and 7dpo noticed white-ish (dried cm - sorry tmi) but not much else in way of “symptoms” other than late in the evening the twinges again more frequent than the days before and pulling sensations and from 7dpo onwards I have been up several times for a wee in the night and then 8 and 9po not too much going on! I’m now a week from AF and I’d usually have sore boobs but they are fine! No idea what to think, sorry for the ramble girls!! Just trying to keep track of anything I notice and I’ve probably missed stuff out or got days a bit muddled 😅 not going to test again until Monday (thankfully a busy weekend ahead) when I should be 13dpo as I’ve realised the strip tests I bought in Boots are not the sensitive ones! They are 25 mIU/mL rather than 10 so no wonder it was negative when I tried one the other day! And apparently by 13dpo hcg should be above 30 (will likely nip out for an early clearblue depending on how that comes back)

SKLM · 12/12/2025 19:14

@ttcfirsttime26 don't apologise, please ramble away! I am going to keep doing the same. Crossing my fingers for you with the clear blue x

Bubs94 · 12/12/2025 19:38

@ttcfirsttime26 im in a similar situation. I’m 9dpo due on Tuesday and I just don’t know this cycle. I’ve been having twinges and pulling etc in my uterus etc but then I do, I had sore boobs then I didn’t. Been getting more headaches and backaches. But I just have no idea. When I die it would have been 5 weeks since the first day of my last period (chemical). But yeah, I’m just so confused x

Hi ladies 🙂 I hope you don’t mind if I join you. I am on CD23 today and had ovulation pain on CD16 although my app says I ovulated on CD17. It’s my third month of trying, but the second month of giving it a really good go. I’ve got a 10 year old and I’m 38 with quite severe adenomyosis so I’m trying to be realistic about it all. The waiting part is hard isn’t it, I was quite disappointed last month. Having spent so much of life being careful not to get pregnant it’s eye opening to be on the other side of the coin! I’ve had a heavy feeling down there today and yesterday, not sure if that means anything. My temperature also went up quite a bit this morning?! I’m using natural cycles with my Apple Watch. Wishing lots of luck to everyone 🎄

Bubs94 · 13/12/2025 07:08

@LifeByTheSea123 welcome!
you’re told from so early on about keeping safe and not getting pregnant but when it comes to wanting a baby, you realise there’s a LOT more to it than just having sex one time and it happening!

im 10dpo today and i woke up slightly congested, headachey, and feeling rather nauseous too. I did a test but always find fmu has never picked anything up even when i was pregnant last cycle and before i found out about my son.
so going to test again this pm! Still early but 🤞🏼🤞🏼 x

Jumping back in here, 5yo is poorly with flu symptoms so I’ve spent the night on the sofa with her. I’ve been having lower cramps for days, spots appearing on face and body and my cm was very thin and lots of it a few days ago and now totally changed (sorry for tmi but it’s all I’ve got to go on!) so I’m hoping with DTD at the right time as we’ve done it all but 2 days for the last two weeks. I am hoping that I ovulated when my cm changed and that means I need to continue to be patient as that was only 3/4 days ago. I’ve tested too many times already 😂

Plumchumm · 13/12/2025 09:55

I decided to test after all. 10dpo first morning urine - negative. Ah well!

SKLM · 13/12/2025 15:38

@Plumchumm I tested too, silly me. Negative of course, at 8 dpo 🙄

I am in bed with a fever and vomiting, my son's bug finally caught up with me.

Bubs94 · 13/12/2025 17:38

10dpo for me today too and tested negative. I’ve been nauseous all day though so going to see how I feel tomorrow and maybe test Monday, we shall see! We’re still not out ladies x

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone 🤞🏼
Ive had pelvic cramping on and off all day and low down aching but it could be anything. I checked first thing this morning and it was a BFN. I think if it happened it would be too early anyway! I’m driving myself insane if I’m honest 😂

CPHB2021 · 13/12/2025 20:29

STILL no AF for me!! 7/8 days late now. Starting to get a bit fed up! Xx

Plumchumm · 13/12/2025 20:37

@SKLM sorry to hear that, hope you can recover soon sounds awful x

@Bubs94 feels awful doesn't it! x

@CPHB2021 you can get progesterone blood tests online, it would be handy as it would confirm whether you have ovulated or not x

PandaLife · 13/12/2025 23:00

Hi @LifeByTheSea123 good luck! :) I’ve just had an Apple Watch arrive today .. I haven’t had a watch since I was a kid so it’s taking some getting used to. But I hope to track my cycles with it too.

Sounds like there are a lot of bugs going around at the minute. We had an email from school around a week or so ago to announce that there is an increase in d&v going around and a high absence number. Hopefully it stays away from us 🙈

I feel like the symptoms I’ve been getting have vanished or reducing. I had a few days of going for a wee every hour and burping constantly, both are very odd for me. But they’ve pretty much stopped. No more twinges or anything. Mood stable. I have a feeling it isn’t going to be this month ..
I’ll test again Wednesday I think. Then it’ll be a care of waiting for my period to start. @CPHB2021 sorry to hear you’re a week late. Very strange. Are your cycles usually regular?

LifeByTheSea123 · 14/12/2025 00:24

@PandaLife the Apple Watch is fab as I can tell if I have ovulated or not each month. Also when I see the big dip in temp I know that’s the day to go for it! It’s a bit of a pain to charge it every day but I just do it when I get into bed and it only takes about 15 minutes. I then pop it on for when I sleep.

8DPO in the morning for me, I’ll try to hold off doing a test! X
