TWW feels like forever

WHY does the TWW feel like forever?! I thought I was 7dpo then I actually hit my peak late, and now I’m 3dpo and just want to test😂 fertile window being 28th-2nd with ovulation on 3rd and BD every other day so really hoping it’s done the trick. Had a chemical on Nov 10th. Did anyone fall pregnant the cycle after a chemical?

@PandaLife ah it plays on mine too, I know how you feel. I only met my husband when I was 35. So in about 4 years we have got married, bought a house and our first is 17 months now. Feels like a rush now to have one more before it's too late.

Plumchumm · 13/03/2026 19:30

Hi all - my partner and I ended up taking a month off last cycle. This month we decided to try, so just waiting for ovulation. Trying to be a bit more relaxed about it. And then my partner's sister announced she is 3 months pregnant and showed us the scan. Honestly feel devastated... these things don't really get to me, but this time it just feels cruel. Maybe because I know that his sister is not maternal in the slightest and didn't even want kids, so it was kind of an accident/unexpected, but also probably because this is now the 3rd announcement in a couple of a weeks and every single person who announced it wasn't expecting or trying. It just feels so unfair. And what's worse is that, with it being his sister, I can't really just shut off from that kind of news. It's going to be everything the family talks about. I just wish I didn't have to have it shoved in my face.

PandaLife · 13/03/2026 19:32

@SKLM I feel that way too. I have been with my husband for almost 5 years, we got married in August just gone. We both already have one each, but it would be really nice to have one of our own and I feel like I have a little ticking timer in my body .. it isn’t nice is it.

So I’m a bit confused. I wiped pink this morning so put a pad on. Barely anything has come since then. Slight tinge to the cm. However, I’ve just been to the toilet and my cm is white again. No trace of any blood :/ I have no idea what is happening. My peak was supposedly the 27th with ovulation being on the 28th. So I should be 13dpo today. I tested LH the following day after the peak and it reduced, so I doubt I ovulated late. I was very crampy a couple of days ago. I assumed I’d be in for a heavy period :/ I guess I’ll see if something comes tomorrow.

SKLM · 13/03/2026 19:40

@PandaLife have you done a pregnancy test this cycle? X

@Plumchumm poor you that must be hard. How many months TTC are you now? x

PandaLife · 13/03/2026 19:49

@Plumchumm sorry to hear that. I can only imagine how you’re feeling.

I don’t know about you ladies, but I keep seeing babies and pregnant ladies. It’s like the car thing, when you take notice of a certain type, they’re everywhere!

@SKLM yes I did a test today and it was very negative :/

Plumchumm · 13/03/2026 19:55

@SKLM It's been a difficult journey for about 2 years with a few breaks in between due to ectopic and multiple miscarriages. It's just awful. Meanwhile these people announcing got pregnant first try.

What was interesting was, it actually felt worse when they announced it at 3 months rather than right away. Somehow it's like too much all at once - not just that they are pregnant but like the baby is coming pretty soon. Not enough time to even get to grips with it. I know it's not my baby or my journey, but when it's family members it can feel so sudden especially as I know it will now take over the entire family discussions/family life.

I don't blame them at all, but I personally just don't know how to deal with it anymore. I wish people were more sensitive to our journey, and maybe were just quieter around us about it.

SKLM · 13/03/2026 20:15

@Plumchumm gosh you have been through so much, no wonder it hurts so deeply. I'm so sorry for all your losses. How was it taking a break for a month? Are you tracking ovulation this month? Maybe the spring will bring you some luck, I read that fertility rates seem to be highest in the spring as we come out of winter xx

PandaLife · 14/03/2026 08:28

@Plumchumm sorry to hear of the difficulties in your journey :( no wonder you feel upset at the news. Make sure to look after yourself. X

My af started properly today which comes with a mixture of feelings. Glad it isn’t doing me the runaround which I thought it would yesterday, but equally feel really sad. I’m trying to look after myself today, I have a busy one but I can equally take my time doing the jobs that need doing. The sunshine is shining well today too which always helps ☀️

SKLM · 14/03/2026 11:45

@PandaLife bless you at least you know where you are at now. It's really stressful when your cycle is topsy turvy! I was chasing my period around last cycle it actually drove me mad. 42 day cycle! I recommend the sunshine, I have been outdoors pretty much all morning trying to absorb as much vitamin d as possible 😂i hope you manage to get some time for yourself today to do a bit of self care x

I have been using the pre mom app and normal LH tests so far this month. I decided I absolutely do not get along with that clear blue digital monitor as my cycle is a bit irregular. I think it will help me track my peaks a bit more accurately this way. Last cycle annoyed the hell out of me but at least I have confirmed my suspicion that I don't always ovulate at my first peak and we might need to extend dtd over a longer period of time! Feeling more motivated this cycle!

CauliflowerCheese00 · 17/03/2026 06:37

How’s everyone getting on?
I did a mad pointless test yesterday with my second wee of the day, at 7dpo - it was obviously not going to show anything, I just needed to scratch the itch. Feel fine about not testing today so maybe it’s got it out my system.

I felt really optimistic earlier in this cycle but feeling a bit down about it now - we shall see.

PandaLife · 17/03/2026 08:05

@SKLM how are you getting on with testing? When are you expected to ovulated (if you know)?

@CauliflowerCheese00 i have done many of those types of tests too. I’m terrible for telling myself I won’t test, get up and go to the toilet and have a coffee ect. Then suddenly decide that I do want to test .. two coffees and an empty bladder later 🙄🙄

I’ve finished my period now, so I’m going to start testing my LH levels from the end of the week I think.

Bubs94 · 17/03/2026 11:35

@CauliflowerCheese00 im 8dpo today and trying not to read into any symptoms but yesterday at my work desk i got such strong like stabbing type pains in my right side and uterus so much so it was aching the top of my thigh. It eased and went away shortly after. Really really meh and coldy today. No amount of sleep is resting me, I’m EXHAUSTED!!
I’m also feeling a bit off today like not sicky but a little bit sicky if that makes sense. But I know it’s so early. We shall see. Probably will test today just because😂

Thank you @SKLM and @PandaLife i appreciate your replies. I am feeling a little better now :)

i am CD18 just waiting to ovulate. We are all out of sync now lol is anyone else pre ovulation?

SKLM · 17/03/2026 13:23

@Plumchumm me me me! I am cd12 today, ovulation is predicted in 8 days for me. Glad you are feeling a bit better.

LH tests are starting to rise a bit which is nice, going the right way!

@Bubs94 that is sounding promising, keep us updated on tests good luck!

TWW feels like forever
Bubs94 · 17/03/2026 14:38

@SKLM yes, your tests are looking good! Hopefully be very soon you reach your peak!

im really trying not to get my hopes up because i know how disheartened ill be. I keep telling myself not to test now until 12dpo in 4 days as I don’t usually get a positive before that but I know I won’t be able to help myself😂

SKLM · 17/03/2026 15:38

@Bubs94 so hard isn't it, I find I have the same conversation with myself every month 😅

I remember when I tested positive for my son, I don't think I had any symptoms whatsoever or at least didn't notice anything. Now I overthink everything.

But having said that, you might just be pregnant! Such a crazy thing isn't it. For all the times we are wrong eventually we should be right I hope!

PandaLife · 17/03/2026 18:31

My fertile window is due to start on Sunday, with ovulation expected on the 27th. It’s my daughter’s 13th birthday at the end of the month and half term, so that’ll be a nice distraction. Then lambing is due to start the week after so I’ll be busy this cycle!

@SKLM nice to see a steady rise in your numbers.

SKLM · 17/03/2026 19:31

@PandaLife my ovulation is predicted on the 25th so we will be in a similar place for the tww.. this is cycle 4 for me.

Bubs94 · 19/03/2026 09:49

Morning! How are you all doing?
I am feeling ROUGH this morning. Coldy still, headache, as soon as I opened my eyes I felt so sick. Probably just cruel pms. 10dpo today, bfn with fmu x

OP posts:
CauliflowerCheese00 · 19/03/2026 12:24

I’m also 10dpo and a negative test this morning.
I’ve been hit hard with a virus all week and I do wonder if that will impact on chances of a positive this month - can’t imagine how my body could achieve anything more than getting through the day this week 😅

DmcinT · 19/03/2026 12:36

10 dpo here today too, dip on RHR so I’d say that’s me prob out this month. In saying that I felt nauseous and didn’t want my usual coffee this morning which is v unlike me.

another friend just announced a pregnancy this morning, I feel like everyone around me is pregnant atm 😵‍💫

SKLM · 19/03/2026 13:00

@Bubs94 will keep crossing my fingers for you.

Ovulation in about 6 days my premium app thinks. Starting to get some stretch to my cm so that is probably accurate. Cd13 today.

Plumchumm · 19/03/2026 16:02

I’m CD20 today and normally ovulate in the next few days. But I’ve started light pink spotting..? Never had this during ovulation. Has anyone else had this?

SKLM · 19/03/2026 16:21

@Plumchumm yep I had it last cycle apparently it can happen and it's normal x

Plumchumm · 19/03/2026 16:24

Thank you @SKLM that's good to know. Did you have any other symptoms? I'm guessing it's hormone fluctuations as I got a migraine too, which only usually happens during luteal for me x
