TWW feels like forever

Bubs94 · 06/12/2025 16:26

WHY does the TWW feel like forever?! I thought I was 7dpo then I actually hit my peak late, and now I’m 3dpo and just want to test😂 fertile window being 28th-2nd with ovulation on 3rd and BD every other day so really hoping it’s done the trick. Had a chemical on Nov 10th. Did anyone fall pregnant the cycle after a chemical?

@Bubs94 House moving is so stressful though. I don’t understand how these couples on grand designs manage to fall pregnant mid-renovation all the time. Just renovating one room in the house is bad enough for me to hate everyone 😂

Bubs94 · 08/03/2026 10:08

Just got my highest peak ever at 1.22! We dtd last night, do you think we should do it tonight too?

PandaLife · 08/03/2026 11:10

@Bubs94 yes defo do it this evening too. Cover all bases :)

Bubs94 · 08/03/2026 20:44

@PandaLife all bases have been covered for ovulation day tomorrow🤞🏼

I am 9dpo today and tested this morning, negative. My boobs are sore this morning too. AF due Saturday.

DmcinT · 09/03/2026 11:42

Good work @Bubs94 we are on the same timing, got peak yesterday too, dtd yesterday and will today just incase… then it’s everything crossed for us all 🤞🏽 and into the tww!

@PandaLife have u gotten positives at 9 dpo before? Every day feels so long in the tww, hoping for a BFP for u

SKLM · 09/03/2026 12:15

@Bubs94 @DmcinT @PandaLife good luck guys x

PandaLife · 09/03/2026 12:48

@DmcinT my last pregnancy was too long ago to remember. My daughter is almost 13 🙈

CauliflowerCheese00 · 10/03/2026 07:17

I think I’m also 1dpo today so looks like there’ll be quite a few of us testing around the same time! We were staying with friends over the weekend so I’m a bit worried about it whether we missed the best timing - dtd Friday morning and Sunday evening, got my peak on Sunday - so really I’d have liked to have dtd on Saturday but can just hope for the best!

Already worrying a bit about how if we got pregnant next cycle I’d be due Christmas week - so feeling a little more pressure for this to be the one! Also had A LOT of people announce pregnancies in real life in the past month - trying not to be jealous!!

DmcinT · 10/03/2026 11:16

@CauliflowerCheese00 peak on Sunday here also but that means wed have ovulated Monday right?
we are very same as u, dtd Friday and Sunday and then yesterday just incase.
weirdly i had CM then creamy lotion like yesterday but then today there’s a lot of clear egg white cm?!? Anyone had that after ovulation?

I was thinking about that Christmas timing also, really hoping we dont have to worry about it and this is all our month 🤞🏽
I find it so hard hearing ppls pregnancy announcements, like I’m happen for them but just deflated and sad for myself!

PandaLife · 10/03/2026 19:26

@DmcinT i had some clear cm after ovulation last month .. or so i thought. My af ended up being late by almost a week so I assume I ovulated later than I thought.

I got rid of all my social media accounts so I can thankfully avoid pregnancy announcements. My husband’s ex is pregnant though and I struggle to look at her when she comes to the house because of it, she’s due in May :/ I just avoid her when I can.

Bubs94 · 11/03/2026 21:36

Hi ladies, how are we all doing. Where abouts are you in your cycles? Currently 2dpo for me..feel like it’s going to be a long 2WW

I'm cd6.

Saw the GP today. I'm having some blood tests done tomorrow for thyroid, some vitamin deficiencies and also FSH to check ovarian reserve.

Have decided to use easy at home LH strips now and have started using the app, practiced scanning an lh test today obviously not much on it at day 6.

PandaLife · 12/03/2026 07:53

@SKLM I was listening to Jay Shetty’s podcast yesterday, he was chatting to a gynaecologist and she suggests all women have ovary reserve blood tests. I was going to look for private ones as didn’t think our GP’s would offer it. So hearing that yours is checking all that is really positive. I’m glad you spoke to them and can have things looked in to. Please keep us updated with the results.

@Bubs94 eek the dreaded first half of the tww 🙈 how are you feeling about this one?

I am 12dpo. Tested yesterday which was a very stark white negative :( this morning I have very sore boobs and cramping, so I imagine my period is imminent. I think it’s due on Saturday. I won’t be testing again.

It is starting to play on my mind, so like @SKLM I’d like to have a women’s health check. I haven’t been 6 months yet, so unsure if the GP would offer. So I might wait until I reach that point, then contact them. SK how long have you been TTC?

SKLM · 12/03/2026 08:25

@Bubs94 good luck to you this tww fingers crossed.

@PandaLife I went to the GP because since September I've had lots of symptoms which could be due to a range of things, which I've largely ignored due to the juggling act of daily life. So, difficulty concentrating, total exhaustion at times, hot and cold feelings and headaches. The GP is checking thyroid, b12, vitamin D, iron and other things. As my cycle is irregular 30-40 days, one 60 day cycle about 6 months ago., she put FSH on too. I'm about to turn 39 so she thought it was unlikely to be peri but I think she put the test in there out of caution. I told her only TTC for 3 months x

DmcinT · 12/03/2026 12:37

@Bubs94 I think we are pretty much at the same point, around 3-4 dpo today, we’ve a long weekend here with paddy’s day on Tuesday so kinda dreading not having the distraction of work for 4 days! how are u feeling abt this cycle?

@SKLM great that ur getting all those tests, I asked dr for the egg reserve test back in sept/Oct and she said we’d need to be trying 6 months before she’d refer me. If no BFP this month im going to go back and get it.

@PandaLife i did wonder about that with ovulation but id peak on sunday morning with opks turing negative by monday and staying negative monday and Tuesday (i kept doing them out of interest). I also had a rhr dip Monday Tuesday followed by a rise to confirm ovulation. GPT said it can happen a day or 2 after ovulation if you’ve dtd as sperm mixes with cm so possibly that’s what happened

Bubs94 · 12/03/2026 13:24

@PandaLife @SKLM @DmcinT im feeling surprisingly fine. Got the distraction of moving so yeah, I don’t feel as obsessive this cycle which is sooooo nice. How are you all feeling x

OP posts:
SKLM · 12/03/2026 13:51

@Bubs94 ooooh are you moving right now? How exciting!

All fine here, started LH testing last night using the easy at home strips going to do another this evening.

Bubs94 · 12/03/2026 14:12

@SKLM well, going through all of the paperwork etc. but yes, sold our home and bought a new one so hopefully be in for June time!🤞🏼 it’s stressful but thankfully my husband is taking care of all calls and emails!
oh nice! I actually quite enjoy LH testing and finding my peak x

OP posts:
PandaLife · 12/03/2026 19:15

@Bubs94 are you moving area too? Or close to where you're currently living?

I found that I got sick of peeing in a red cup every day when testing my LH, so when it came to pregnancy testing, I was truly bored of testing for anything 🙈 it was a good thing actually because it meant I wasn’t obsessively checking every day like I have done previously. I’ve managed to test every other day since 7/8pdo. I have tested by urinating straight on the strips before but find that they flood.

I’m just waiting for af to start then I’ll begin thinking about my next cycle. Although I’m a little hesitant about what to do because I’ll be ovulating at the end of the month, but then lambing starts in the first week of April. I’m not sure if you’re aware, but pregnant women are strongly advised to avoid lambing because of the high mc risk. So I think I’ll glove and overall up and maybe just avoid lambing any sheep unless absolutely necessary, but spend time doing the other jobs. Then I’ll test twice daily from 7dpo.

SKLM · 13/03/2026 12:37

I got my blood test results back. I have an iron deficiency and my vitamin D levels are borderline insufficient.. both of which I know are important for fertility. I expect the GP will put me back on iron tablets again, I need to make an appointment. We are at the tail end of a long winter so not surprised my vitamin D is at the lower end of normal.

My FSH level is 10. The test is usually done on day 3 of your cycle to get a baseline and the normal range is 1-9. After day 3 your levels start to fluctuate and I was day 6 I think. So I guess a level of 10 for a near 39 year old is okay and I know I am ovulating. I haven't researched it.

Looks like getting some more iron board and a bit of sunshine is what I need. I know I am getting older and my body will be working a bit harder to ovulate, so I need to maximise the quality of my reserves whilst I still have them!

Every day at the moment feels like a sobering realisation that I am getting old!

MamaOooh · 13/03/2026 14:10

Hey gals, hope everyone is well. I think I'm 1dpo today but my strips and temperature tell different stories so who the heck knows! Tww here we go.

@SKLM I struggle with my iron levels as well, have had to have a couple of intravenous infusions in recent years. I was told to up my leafy greens as well as meat/fish and also not to drink tea or coffee with meals as it interferes with the absorption. Touch wood they've been okay since. Hopefully now we are heading into spring we will get some actual sunshine to help with your vitamin D! 39 is defo not old!

PandaLife · 13/03/2026 15:37

@SKLM it sounds like a fairly positive outcome though. Things are working. You just need a bit of help with your vitamins.

Vit D deficiency is a massively common thing at the minute, I’ve read/heard many professionals talk about it. Modern day people don’t spend the time outdoors like they once did, even in the summer months. Oily fish contains vitamin D too, I don’t eat it often enough so take fish oil tablets alongside vitamin d tablets. If you enjoy seafood, clams are awesome for your iron levels 😉

I’m not having a great day today. Period has kind of started .. it is that weak that I took a pregnancy test earlier (negative). I feel like I’m not getting full proper flows, which is making me worry that I’m going through perimenopause and my chances of getting pregnant is slim 😔😔 my mum and auntie both got pregnant after 40 so I kind of took it for granted that it would be easy for me too. But I guess not..

SKLM · 13/03/2026 17:07

@PandaLife could you try going to your GP? If you are over 40 then they should be pretty keen to do bloods or investigate any concerns you have x

PandaLife · 13/03/2026 17:38

I’m a few years off 40 yet, but it’s something playing on my mind. I’m going to wait until 6 months of TTC then I’ll speak to them. X
