TWW feels like forever

Bubs94 · 06/12/2025 16:26

WHY does the TWW feel like forever?! I thought I was 7dpo then I actually hit my peak late, and now I’m 3dpo and just want to test😂 fertile window being 28th-2nd with ovulation on 3rd and BD every other day so really hoping it’s done the trick. Had a chemical on Nov 10th. Did anyone fall pregnant the cycle after a chemical?

I have a UTI :( so sad. I have to take trimethoprim, which is not recommended in early pg but it's the only one that works for me (others I have side effects). Hopefully the fact that the course will be finished before implantation will still put us within a chance still this month. Just when I think everything is going right!

SKLM · 04/01/2026 18:13

@Plumchumm poor you, I always get UTIs trying to conceive. Is it a 3 day course? I think you still have a fair few days until you implant so it should be okay, none of it would go to the embryo if it isn't receiving your blood yet. UTIs are linked to early miscarriage so it's better to treat it now whilst you can 😊

SKLM · 04/01/2026 18:13

@Plumchumm have you tried cefalexin? xx

Bassbeh17 · 04/01/2026 19:10

@SKLM it looks like next weekend will be busy for us all!! 😂
ovulation sticks arrived so obviously had a go and definitely not ovulating yet so gonna keep an eye for a few days and hopefully mid week I’ll see some signs 🤞🏼

Plumchumm · 04/01/2026 21:03

@SKLM Thank you 🩷 yep just 3 days! yes I tried cefalexin a couple times and it just wouldn’t clear it, it got quite dangerous as it moved up but trim always worked. My doctor said it should be fine and I’m taking folic acid anyway so here’s hoping :) x

im so excited for all you girls gearing up for ovulation!! X

Bassbeh17 · 04/01/2026 22:59

@Plumchumm sorry to hear about your UTI! My daughter suffers with them a lot and she’s only 5 😕 we do find a regular concentrated cranberry capsule (just Holland and Barrett’s) helps prevent them so might be worth trying after the antibiotics! I’ve felt a bit twingy after every wee recently so I wonder if the hormones are causing it to be an imbalance 🤷🏽‍♀️

Plumchumm · 05/01/2026 12:41

@Bassbeh17 thank you, sorry to hear your daughter suffers from them too. They are awful x

i take d-mannose as a drink but hadn’t had it in a while. Just shows it does work if you keep up with it!

how’s everyone doing today? X

PandaLife · 05/01/2026 15:43

Hi ladies! Back again for round two :D

I was ovulating around NY I suspect my actual day was the 2nd due to the discharge I was having. I’ve never used ovulation strips but if nothing happens this month, I’ll try them next month. So I’m coming to the back end of my predicted fertile window (I just use my phone and Apple Watch). I’ve been ridiculously grumpy over the last few days which hasn’t helped though, we’ve had a bit of stress so it’s interfered. However, I can officially begin my obsessive testing from the end of next week 😂😬😬 I bought a large box of test strips, they aren’t early ones though .. I don’t think anyway… so I need to make sure I leave it late enough

Bassbeh17 · 05/01/2026 16:38

@PandaLife keeping everything crossed for you!!
Im cramping today and remember this from last month so I think I’m heading towards ovulation, had a faint line today so not a positive yet but hopefully close 🤞🏼 the app says Sunday but the way I feel I wouldn’t be shocked if it happens before the weekend, everything feeling a bit crampy and tender, hoping it does happen earlier so less time to wait after 😂😂

CPHB2021 · 05/01/2026 16:39

Well after 67 days I am finally back on CD1! AF arrived today. Very weird but at least closure and I can TTC again! Xx

Plumchumm · 05/01/2026 17:10

@PandaLife exact same ovulation day as me! I’m 2dpo now. How are you feeling about it?

PandaLife · 05/01/2026 18:10

@CPHB2021 yey!! It must be a huge relief to have it. You can finally begin date planning :)

@Plumchumm I haven’t really thought about it much if I’m honest. I probably will when testing days come along, but for now I’m quite mentally preoccupied with family drama 🙈
what about you?

Bubs94 · 05/01/2026 18:45

@Plumchumm doing well, predicted ovulation was 6 days ago but I think I’m going to peak tonight and ovulate tomorrow as my LH is rising significantly. We’ve dtd just because we’ve wanted to every night since Boxing Day😂 I’m surprised my vagineeee doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall off 😂 fingers crossed babies come soon for us

@Bubs94 😂this was me when we were TTC my son, I got thrush and a UTI 😂

SKLM · 05/01/2026 20:52

Well I didn't think I would get my peak so early but I was suspicious it was close with all the achy pain I was getting in my stomach! Looks like we will be busy tonight 😅

Plumchumm · 05/01/2026 21:21

@Bubs94 Christ, I think we’re the same age as I was born in 94 too and even I don’t have the stamina for every night 10 days in a row 😂 and my libido is quite high

please drink some water 🤣

why are we women always suffering, I’ve been using thrush cream on and off past few months just because of ttc. Sometimes we use condoms in between ovulation just so my downstairs can recoup 😂

Plumchumm · 05/01/2026 21:21

@SKLM woop! Good luck!!

PandaLife · 05/01/2026 21:37

You guys make me laugh. Both myself and my husband have quite low libidos so it’s a bit of an effort 😂 we’re both exhausted most of the time! We have a working farm, both work outside of the farm and have a kid each so when it comes to down time, we mostly just want to chill out or sleep 🙈🙈

SKLM · 05/01/2026 21:43

@PandaLife I can relate, our usual routine here once our son is in bed is to pretend we are going to watch a film and enjoy a drink together but then the reality is that we are in bed by 8.30pm too tired to even talk 😅we don't have massive libidos so I know a part of us really really hopes that every month we have been successful 😂

SKLM · 05/01/2026 21:44

1994! Feeling old here, born in the eighties! 😊

Plumchumm · 06/01/2026 13:58

How are we all doing today ladies? 3dpo here. X

Bassbeh17 · 06/01/2026 15:49

Negative ovulation test for me today (I work in a school so I’m doing them when I get home!) and accidentally pulled out the blue strip so negative pregnancy test too 😂😂 clearly knew that but wouldn’t it have been a nice surprise! Gonna give the baby making a break tonight as I’m tired and clearly not ovulating!

SKLM · 06/01/2026 19:35

@Plumchumm 3dpo, that's so exciting. Have you decided when you are going to test? I want to try and be a bit more disciplined this month.. we shall see!!

Today is my ovulation day according to my OPK - I got the static smiley face last night. So we have done some baby dancing the last three nights, going to do tonight and then maybe in a couple of days... I'm not sure about ovulating so early in my cycle, it doesn't usually happen for me so soon so a bit worried i'll have another surge later in the month which I'll miss. My cycles are getting a lot longer as I get older so I think this is what is happening, one surge which doesn't result in ovulation and another later on.

@Bassbeh17 when is your predicted ovulation day? x

Bassbeh17 · 06/01/2026 19:47

@SKLM according to the app it’s Sunday with the highest chance but the app give you low, medium and then high chance days and medium starts tomorrow, I also only have one month to go on. I think that I will just keep having regular action and using the strips to check what’s happening 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m a bit crampy again but because I have IBS that’s not reliable for
me either!

SKLM · 06/01/2026 19:56

@Bassbeh17 yeah it's stressful working out ovulation sometimes. I find the apps quite useful and I do get stomach ache around ovulation time but I tend to go more by cm - apparently that and bbt monitoring (which I haven't tried) are meant to be most reliable. My cycles are quite irregular though these days and sometimes I miss what's going on entirely. Regular action seems to be the only way to catch it.. getting tired though 😂
