TWW feels like forever

WHY does the TWW feel like forever?! I thought I was 7dpo then I actually hit my peak late, and now I’m 3dpo and just want to test😂 fertile window being 28th-2nd with ovulation on 3rd and BD every other day so really hoping it’s done the trick. Had a chemical on Nov 10th. Did anyone fall pregnant the cycle after a chemical?

@CPHB2021 i would probably get a blood test at this point to check everything?

sounds like we are all having mixed messages!!
so I had a tiny speck of blood 2’days ago then yday I had a bit of like pale pink when I wiped and thought oh here we go as I had back ache like kidney area in the morning too. Then it stopped, dtd last night thinking well if anything it might spur it on 😂 then nothing, went on a 3 mile walk this morning and had a tiny bit of dark coloured blood like almost a brown after that maybe like a 5p size and thought yep, pale pink very diluted again after a wee and then absolutely nothing since. I’m actually starting to go a bit insane so it would be nice to maybe blame it on hormones!!!

has anyone else had this? I stopped my pill on 29th Nov so it’s a month today!

@Bassbeh17 my first period after coming off the mini pill was quite light, what were your periods usually like? Are you sure you are not pregnant x

@SKLM definitely not pregnant, it started properly this morning and it’s like they were from
when I had them previously, well what I can remember as this was a long time ago! Hoping this is a good sign for ovulation restarting and I can get on with it once this stops 😂

I had a proper period in the end, lasted four days and seems to have stopped overnight/this morning so I will be dtd continually now 😂 after lots of googling because it was only four days my ovulation could happen earlier so I’m just gonna make sure we are busy at least every other day this month and pray I ovulate at some point!

@Bassbeh17 happy new year too! I started my period a few days ago too so we are at similar points. Do you use OPKs? I hate the TWW I'm so impatient.

I'm day 11 of my current cycle following my chemical 🙁Using clear blue digital OPK - getting a not fertile reading so far. Once your estrogen levels start rising you get a flashing smiley face for a few days to signify the start of your fertile window and then a solid smiley face when your LH surge is detected for ovulation. Last cycle I had 3 days of flashing smileys so we start dtd whenever I get those faces then continue until a day after I get the solid smiley.

They are expensive so hopefully we don't need them for too long, I find them easier than the LH strips which I used to use.

i just got my positive ovulation test on the train home from our family trip! Good timing! Now just need to get busy soon as we get home 🤣 let’s goooooo!

@SKLM its normal for ovulation to be a bit delayed after chemical. Dont worry there’s still time for estrogen to start rising. The cycle right after chemical it’s also ‘recovering’ the lining, not just building it as normal x

It's weird, I still feel pregnant! I had symptoms for a week. They have faded a lot but I still don't feel like I usually do at this point in my cycle. Is it just my hormones stabilising?

@SKLM oh yeah for sure your hormones will still be stabilising then. I’ve had a few chemicals, and sometimes I’ve been okay soon after and other times it’s taken me a few weeks to get fully back to baseline. So ovulation has been delayed by a week or two.

your body knows what to do 🩷 even if it looks silent to us, it’s actually doing a lot of repairing and preparation. I’d say use this time to make sure you’re eating well, make sure the lining is good and thick. The lining on the cycle right after chemical can be thinner. X

@90yomakeuproom i don’t use OPKs because I think I’d get obsessed! This month I’m gonna just do a lot of baby dancing and then if nothing happens I might try them next month but this is our first proper month of trying since a period after stopping my mini pill so 🤞🏼

I originally said that but ended up doing it just for reassurance that I actually ovulated. I'm only a month ahead of you, last month was my first cycle since having a period after having my coil removed, so it's now cycle 2 TTC baby #2.

@90yomakeuproom i just ordered ovulation strips on prime 😂 you’ve influenced me! I’m too much of a control freak and will also be stressed if I am not pregnant this month and don’t know if I actually ovulated 😅

Today is O day. I hope we’ve covered enough days.

that Wednesday dtd was during the family trip, was so awkward and awful 😂 better be worth it

anyone else use Ovia? I’ve used that mainly for years but use Premom for interpreting my ovulation strips

@90yomakeuproom you are a month ahead of me, did you ovulate last month?

I fell instantly with my daughter so I’m finding it really tough that it hasn’t just happened instantly, although I do feel better that I’ve had a period and am hoping that’s a good sign.

I literally think about it constantly, it’ll be good to be back at work for a distraction!

Oh and if anyone has any advice on the ovulation strips feel free to throw that my way!

@Bassbeh17 which ones did you buy? I would recommend using an app to help you interpret the results, it can be a lot like reading pregnancy tests!

@Bassbeh17 yes on the 17th which conveniently was also cd17 which I know is a little later than some people. I used premom app to take photos of my tests. It did make me learn more about my cycle which was good but we dtd at all the right times but no luck! Hopefully next time.

@SKLM theyre on Amazon the like 20 pack for a fiver, they’re green, I used the blue strip ones for pregnancy tests and my dd showed up on those. I thought about an app but then it’s my first proper cycle so would be able to tell me much 🤷🏽‍♀️

Countdown to ovulation next weekend! Got a bit of practice in today incase i ovulate early 😁

Downloaded a period app just to see what it said and it says what my maths had suggested based on a 28 day cycle which I have to assume I have as I’ve only had one period.

gonna just get in some extra practice days every other day then next week it’ll be all go for a few days 😂

Got my flashing smiley face this morning! So the fertile window has started! Also have right sided tummy pain which I usually get when ovulation is on the way so feeling optimistic. But early this month though.
