i'm on first month of ttc for myself, have 2dc's, 1dd and 1ds....

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 18:14

I wanted the pool when dd was born but the water was coming out brown so wasn't allowed in it after all. She was back to back and the pain was massive...

My waters broke at 4 in the afternoon on the Tuesday. I went into hospital at 7 in the evening on the Wednesday as hospital kept sending me home. At 10 o?clock that evening I insisted that they did an internal (they kept offering me pethadine saying that I wasn?t in labour with a sarcastic look on their faces) and they found me to be 9 cm dilated. Was then wheeled down to labour ward and thankfully given gas and air (had only been using tens machine before this). MW examined me again and told me I had a lip on cervix and this would need to soften before we got to the second stage. This is when we found out the pool was out of bounds. I was told that I couldn't push yet.

36 hours later and the lip was still there I couldn't help it but I pushed and dd got stuck and her heart rate dropped to below 40 bpm and didn't come back up again. Lots of people then rushed in wheeled me to theatre where dr announced there was no time to prep me so they gave me an injection to numb the area and cut me down below and yanked her out.........

Oh I wish the pool had been ok to use....

I am on my 4th month of ttc dc2. I have a dd who is 14 months. I am due to test on Sunday.

Playingthewaitinggame · 09/06/2008 18:15

ooo, LL, that doesnt sound like the best birth experience!

GiraffeYoga · 09/06/2008 18:17

Hi Rachrox,

this is my first month to TTC, for the first time!

PTWG is right about keeping up-- I go away for 3 dayts and we have moved on 500messages!

Did you TTC first time with the other three?

Playingthewaitinggame · 09/06/2008 18:20

Right ladies, I am off home now. Will have the discussion tonight with DH. TTC or not TTC that is the question. Hopefully I will have an answer tomorrow!!

And on that note I am taking my spoilt champagne taste (but lemonade pockets) self to the pub.

Rachrox · 09/06/2008 18:23

I'm gonna try to keep up...

My eldest dd is 9 and was pg within 1st month with her, my second dd is 8 (they actually share same b'day, year apart!), she was a pleasant surprise . My ds is 2 and took 3 mths to get pg.

Lets hope this is all our month...

glaskham · 09/06/2008 18:28

well i am testing on sunday, as i've said before i dont think i'm pg, but would love to be!! As both dc's were concieved when not trying and on the pill i've got a lot to live up to!! haha!!

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 18:29

So Rachros if AF is due Friday then you can test Thursday thus avoiding the dreaded friday the 13th..... Cant she ladies

Moosma · 09/06/2008 18:32

Oh LL that story made my toes curl! I hope you have a better experience this time!

Moosma · 09/06/2008 18:34

Oh yes definitely! Test test test test!

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 18:35

Playing it wasn't nice but once the bruising (on both me and dd) had gone and the stitches were out the pain was forgotten. I was so worried when I first saw her face was so badly cut and bruised, but it soon went.

DD had been in a bad position for ages. Nothing I did moved her. She was back to back and (as it turned out) she was also twisted so every contraction was bearing down on the back of her neck instead of her head. Hence her getting stuck when I pushed...

GiraffeYoga · 09/06/2008 18:36

so for reference, its ok to test from day before AF is due?

am i being really naieve to think that I will be able to hold out til 5 days after AFdue date to test?

I am thinking I've got no idea!!

Moosma · 09/06/2008 18:36

LL did hers injuries scar? DD1 got bashed about too and she has scars, I'm not sure if it's normal or not?

Cosmogirl · 09/06/2008 18:37

Hi girls,

Haven't had time to catch up fully, but gleaned that Playing is considering leaving the wagon earlier than planned. How odd, DH and I have been having the same thoughts over the past week.....Not sure what to do yet.....

Condoms are just not working for us - finding they are killing the passion, so DH was like 'why don't we not use them then...' That is how it came about, but it isn't just that, think he is really coming around to the idea of being a dad. Also, as you say Playing, you just don't know how long it will take to fall pregnant. If it is 6 months, I will be kicking myself that we didn't go for it sooner.

In other news I got EWCM today!!! Always get so excited when I see it. It is CD 17 today and had slippery cm for a few days but no EW stuff till today. I had a 27 day cycle last time, but guessing this one will be longer if I've ov on CD17....

Anyhoo, off to catch up properly.

glaskham · 09/06/2008 18:43

so are you ditchign the condoms cosmo?? DH is over the moon he doesn't have to wear them anymore!!

Cosmogirl · 09/06/2008 18:47

I am very tempted to. It's dangerous though, no?

Cosmogirl · 09/06/2008 18:47

I've heard it can result in a baby

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 18:48

Go cosmo go.

Moosma there is a faint scar on the right side of her face that comes out when she is hot or crying etc but all the others are gone....

glaskham · 09/06/2008 18:50

it is a bit dangerous i believe.... it can cause 18years of empty pockets, empty fridges and earache!!!

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 18:56

Moosma for some reason all my pics get smaller and look far away so you may not see it but this is the bad cut on dd. THis is the one that has left a slight scar but it only shows when she gets red...

Moosma · 09/06/2008 18:58

LL I've added a pic of DD1, scroll right down.

To make your pictures bigger, when you've uploaded them, resize them before you save. I set mine to 350.

Moosma · 09/06/2008 18:59

The big bruise on her forhead has lef t abig scar but it's mostly under her hair. She also has a little one under her nose which isn't fading

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 19:04

oh bless her poor baby....

I have made photo bigger now. There are loads the other side of her face as well but they have now gone... As you can see it went straight through her eye and mouth, which is why she wouldn't feed for 2 days...

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 19:07

Are the scars still bright red or have they faded?
