Ouch that looks nasty! They have faded to white but are still very much there.

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 19:32

Oh no bless her cottons..... As I say DD's only shows when she has a red face and then it looks like a bruise under the skin..

kookykid · 09/06/2008 19:33

Oh, Moos and LL, your poor DCs. that must've been awful.

I will second the "brithing pool is bliss", Sorky! Certainly wasn't against pain relief, but just found I didn't need it once I was in the pool.

So, just found out today my best friend in the world is pg! Am so delighted for her and her gorgeous man, but weirdly it's made me even more sure I'm going to get a BFN on Weds.

Welcome Rachrox!

glaskham · 09/06/2008 19:35

oh kooky.... you must get a BFP... its my birthday, its got to be a nice happy day!!!!

kookykid · 09/06/2008 19:36

glaskham · 09/06/2008 20:35

night ladies!! will probe be about tomorrow but gonna blitz the house before our guests come for the bday bbq on weds!!

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 20:37

night glaskham

happynappies · 09/06/2008 20:39

evening everyone!

Sorky - can you tell me more about the pool you hired? It sounds really good - was it expensive?

Everyone keeps saying NJ will tell you when to test. NJ, can you tell me when I should test? FF thinks I ovulated Sunday 1st June, AF due Thursday 19th June, FF says test Friday 20th June... seems like ages away!!! Think I'm still down on our update list as testing 19th June...

Been so hot here today - lovely day! Hope the weather lasts!

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 20:44

I would say the 17th is fine. FR say you can test 6 days before AF due but I think that is too soon.

kayzisexpecting · 09/06/2008 20:45

Welcome Rachrox!!

Been to the beach today and I have horrible sun burn on my back and shoulders. Its killing me. Then we went to a bbq at my friends house and DS ran off with her mum's DP's beer. It was empty but he still managed to get a few drops in his mouth!!!!

Don't shout at me but I am having a small glass of cider as I just can't take much more of craving the bloody stuff. Found a website that sells alcohol free cider so I will be buying a crate!!

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 20:46

enjoy kay. How are you my lovely.

kayzisexpecting · 09/06/2008 20:55

In agony with my back. Got no aftersun so DH is going to put Sudocrem on it.

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 20:57

good idea.

kayzisexpecting · 09/06/2008 21:01

I really enjoyed my glass of cider. I have really wanted it since I got my BFP.

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 21:05

good for you Kay. Right I am off now so will see you all tomorrow.

lixanismapolium · 09/06/2008 21:06

Hi Rachrox - good luck with keping up with this group - you'll need it! I am always way behind

I say test now everyone!!!!! I think I may be a testaholic - I already tried once this month and I'm not supposed to start trying until next Sunday ....... of course it was neg ... as I knew it would be! Just enjoyed the thrill of waiting to see what the result was! Am I mad?

kayzisexpecting · 09/06/2008 21:07

Night LL.

Ses15 · 09/06/2008 21:58

OMG!!! I go to work for a day and come back to find pages to catch up on!!! I love this thread!!! It makes me feel like I've been away a week not a day tho!
Work was fine and managed to keep my mind occupied on other things than scan and what outcome might be on Wednesday. Then got home and couldn't stop thinking abut it - thought my head would explode!

Kooky - let's hope we both have good news on Wed and good luck to all those other testers out there!

Welcome Rachrox! I've only been part of this thread for 2 days now but it's the best one I've joined.

Playing - just GFI and jump! You never know how long these things take and if it's only a month I'm sure you'd be happy anyway! My workplace seems to be the opposite of yours recently - I've been wanting dc1 fr over a year now (although depo would only have worn off 6 months ago) and there are 3 other pg women at work in a workplace of just 30!

Anyway, I'll stop rambling now!

Seem to have missed most of you last night and then this morning too! I'm just off to work so have a good day everyone and I'll catch you later!

lixanismapolium · 10/06/2008 06:37

Morning! Good luck to ayone who is testing this morning.

All this talk of birthing pools makes me feel nervous ... think I'm too scared to even consider it.

With DD I spent a week in hospital and had a really good rest, which was great. A birthing pool at home is so far removed from that I just cannot imagine it.

I'd probably be jumping out of it to make everyone's dinner in the middle of the proceedings!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/06/2008 06:51

Morning

Happy, if FF says you OV'ed on the 1st, and an average LP is 14 days, I reckon as the absolute earliest you'd possibly get a BFP would be 10DPO, with one of the super sensitive early tests. So if I were you I'd test anywhere from the 10th, till the 14th (or 10 DPO - 14DPO) Oooooh, is it the 10th today????

Last time I had a home birth planned, I bought one of those birth pool in a box things, had it all set up in the dining room (except the water!) I had the canisters of G&A, the MW bags here with all sorts of crap goodies in it, I had new cheap duvets and shower curtains ready to keep the carpets clean, t'was all ready, until my BP hit the roof and they induced me! Oh what fun we had putting it all away though! Think I will be lucky this time to make it to the hospital, or even the dining room for the matter! I wish you could have elective inductions, it wuld be sooooooo much easier.

kayzisexpecting · 10/06/2008 07:36

Morning,

Nat, I think you can have elective inductions or the hospital decide to induce you. My friend had one with her 4th because her 3rd took about an hour.

A home birth is getting more and more tempting but I still can't have my neighbours hear me in labour so its not an option

I didn't sleep much last night. It was too hot and with this stupid sunburn I couldn't get comfy.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/06/2008 07:42

I am seriously going to talk to the MW about it, she even said herself when they were here last week (or the week before, can't remember now!) that she thought the PE was bought on by the stress of not knowing what I was going to do with DS1, and the stress of the contractions threatening pre-term labour every night, caused by the irritable uterous thingy, so especially if the IU comes back, I am really going to push it.
