Glaskahm, I've still got 2.5 hour before I'm child-free! I really feel like going to the pub and sitting out in the beer garden getting wankered tipsy

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 17:38

Oh Moosma cant believe that you have put that in my head............ ummmmmmmmm wine and soda in the beer garden.............

Sorry about BFN moos I was so sure.....

Playingthewaitinggame · 09/06/2008 17:41

We're gonna talk about it tonight. I agree with the others as well, there is never "enough". However, Sept was chosen for a reason, our last loan finishes end April, so we will have no more loans to worry about after that, which makes thing much more affordable when I start mat leave. However, the odds of getting pg straight away are minimal and we can dip into savings to tide ourselves over if nec. It can be done, it all boils down to whether I want to compromise my financial position.

Moosma · 09/06/2008 17:42

That's ok, I was sure it wasn't going to be a BFP. I'm temping now so hopefully I'll find out what's going on this month. Actuall that reminsa me, I must take my tablet with tea, which I'm just about to eat. Pasta with bacon, chicken and mayo, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Playingthewaitinggame · 09/06/2008 17:43

Beer garden does sound like a good idea. I'm not sure living a 5 min walk from 9 different pubs (the closest is a 1 min walk) is a good thing!!!

Moosma · 09/06/2008 17:43

Playing I hope you get things sorted out this evening and make a definite decision either way. September isn't really that far away if you do decide to wait

Playingthewaitinggame · 09/06/2008 17:44

Oh and the fact my sis lives in a pub also doesnt help!!

Moosma · 09/06/2008 17:45

Playing! Do it now before you have babies and can't go out anymore!

Anyway, I'm off to eat my tea, bye!

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 17:45

moose your dinner sounds lovely.... I have just eaten homemade lasagne... its a pasta day today...

Sorry to be nosy but what tablets are you taking??

Moosma · 09/06/2008 17:45

Cabergoline, google it if you like!

Playingthewaitinggame · 09/06/2008 17:46

Yeah its not that far now, I have waited all year, its not too long till Sept, thats probably whats keeping me clinging on. I spose I just know its gonna take a few months at best so am beginning to hate the idea of not only waiting ttc but also waiting for ages to get pg!

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 17:47

Playing I am so . I was talking to a friend today about how I miss going out with my girlfriends and spending 4 hours having a lazy lunch and a couple of bottles of wine..... still only 18 more years and I will be able to do it again

Rachrox · 09/06/2008 17:51

Hi ladies, was hoping you'd let me join ure thread? Looks like a hive of activity

Just seen GY has asked about the coil, i had mine taken out in april, didn't hurt and wasn't even at end of cycle. Had a heavy bleed afterwards tho, but probably because i didn't have AF at all when it was fitted. I'm hoping to get PG asap, waiting to test on friday 13th...

Sorry if i've rambled on or given tmi, you probably wont let me join now?!!

glaskham · 09/06/2008 17:52

oh yes, its an early evening for me!!! was so stunned, but their normal bedtime is between 6 and 7 depending on baths/showers and what they ahve for tea... we played in the garden for an hour after nursery then they only wanted pate on toast, so they had 3 slices each and a pear and went to bed!! showers in the morning so daddy can do it!! haha!!

Your tea does sound scrummy moos.... i really feel hungry but DH isn't home till 9pm, and i know if i eat now i'll not be hungry later with him!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 09/06/2008 17:53

Yeah, it is good, not that I go to them more then once or twice a week, bit bored of the whole pub thing now.

glaskham · 09/06/2008 17:53

welcome rachrox- No amount is TMI here!!

and i just x-posted with tons of you!! teach me for not checking after 5mins on the phone and just replying instead!!

GiraffeYoga · 09/06/2008 17:54

Welcome Rachrox !

I've not been here long but every is welcome.

Good luck for Friday. How long have you been TTC? is this your first try?

Thanks for your positive coil removal story! Just what I needed :-o

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 17:56

Welcome Rachrox. There are only a few rules to the thread and they are:

  1. nothing is TMI
  2. you have to test when NJ tells you to
  3. we only GOF on this thread
  4. you have to be a chatter box

So why not take a seat and tell us all about you...

Do you have any children? How old are you? when is AF due because I am sure NJ will want you to test early

sorkycake · 09/06/2008 17:58

It's ready filled Nat, stays at a constant temp (permanently heated) My last labour was 2 hours from first contraction to birth so time is fine. I generally wait until I'm about 7cm before I get in.

i'll be doing it that way again.

God I couldn't labour on my back, it's excrutiating!

lardylumps · 09/06/2008 17:59

ummmmm sorky what are you going on about.....

glaskham · 09/06/2008 17:59

DH's DF and Ds-M own a pub & hotel in the lakes which is lovely and we enjoy staying a night and they babysit so we can enjoy a night in the pub for free!!!

And playing- I also agree- there is never a right time!!!

We got caught with ds when we were living in a grotty little flat, i was so ill through the pregnancy that we we're living on DH's wage of only £12k for a very long time, He's been lucky to work his way up the ladder and is now manager in the same company, but when we found out we were expecting dd (surprise honeymoon baby) he was still on a very low wage!!

In our grand 'plan' we'd be starting to ttc dc1 around now, we said i'd be 23 and he'd be 25... but it didn't work that way, and now i'm ttc dc3 and couldn't be happier... we dont have bucket loads of money but own our own house and our own car now and all this happened just before dd arrived, so we had a massive turnaround in our life while expecting her!!

sorkycake · 09/06/2008 18:02

birth pool and the gact they're fab, especially for spd

Rachrox · 09/06/2008 18:08

Okay, i'll try to answer all your questions...
I'm 28, got 3 great children 2 ds and 1 ds. So going for number 4!!
Only been ttc since april, just very impatient so want things to happen NOW!!
AF due on friday, really fed up of 2ww .
Sounds like a good idea to go out tonight, might put kids to bed and get my little sister to babysit
So how long have you all been ttc for?

Rachrox · 09/06/2008 18:09

Sorry meant 2 dd and 1 ds

Playingthewaitinggame · 09/06/2008 18:13

Welcome Rachrox, the more the merrier on this thread, although you'll be doing well if you can keep up!

I know we can manage, I mean DH is on a pretty good salary but I dont want to just about manage I want to be comfortable. I don't want to sound ungrateful, I just want to be sure we can comfortably manage without giving up all the things we take for granted (2 cars, cable TV, eating nice food, living in a nice house etc etc). I am happy to do a bit of belt tightening, I mean even I agree we spend far too much money in Waitrose, but I suppose there is only so much I am prepared to compromise on. I've done it now, I really sound like a spoiled brat
