So sorry about your brother and sister Kay. How awful for your mum.....

My mum has a club foot and her brother has a hunch back so I was worried that there would be a bone deformity in any children I have. Dd's head was not aligned properly as she was stuck and yanked out and the plates had not aligned so she had a huge bone sticking out on the left hand side of her head for 3 months. I was so worried but the gp refered us to hospital and they confirmed it was just the plates out of sink and that they would right themselves over time. They were right and all normal now.... The only problem was that she never had a soft spot so we had to continualy go back and get her head measured to check there was no fluid build up...

NatalieJaneIsPregnant · 06/06/2008 18:33

Have accepted you both, still don't know what you're supposed to do with it though.

I know have 3 friends!!! LMAO!!! Have only ever used it to keep in touch with someone while she was in labour! ... Oh and to ignore my sister a bit more!! LOL

Have a good weekend Glaskham, and a good night Moos

lardylumps · 06/06/2008 18:34

Night Moos and Glaskham

NatalieJaneIsPregnant · 06/06/2008 18:35

I know now have.... tut!

LL I am glad your DD is OK, that must have been stressful about the fluid build up.

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 18:37

You have the same birthday as my mum Nat. She is exactly 20 years older than you.

DS had a bit of a flat head when he was younger. My MIL in her normal fashion claimed he was disabled and was going to be wierd but it all evened out once his neck was strong enough for him to hold his head up.

lardylumps · 06/06/2008 18:38

It was at the time. A friend said that I should go to a cranial ostopath (sp?) re the birth as she may still need some manipulation..... but she is fine now so dont think i will

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 18:40

LL, the little boy who my MIL looked after had the same thing. He was ok as well after a while. He is so tiny though. He is exactly a year older than DS and is much smaller than him. But his mum is 4ft2 and his dad is 4ft3 so he will be short. The HV working for SS thought it was my MIL's fault and she wasn't feeding him.

lardylumps · 06/06/2008 18:40

flat heads are so common Kay now that the sleeping possitions have changed. All babies have them until they can move their heads because they are on their back all the time. You dont notice it all the time due to hair covering it up. We used to lay dd on her front when ever she was awake during the day.

NatalieJaneIsPregnant · 06/06/2008 18:43

Have heard good things about cranial osteopaths, they seem to help out with all sorts!

What's for dinner? Really fancy fish and chips, but I know the grease would have me running for the bathroom. How can you really want something that you know will make you ill?

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 18:43

DS hated being on his front. He would scream and scream his head off until he could hold his head up. The GP said it was normal as I went there one day in floods of tears as MIL had been on the phone saying he would be brain damaged when he was older as his brain would be crushed.

Luckily the GP said it was normal and if it hadn't changed shape a bit by 6 months to go back and they would see if it was a problem. But it was fine.

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 18:45

I just had microwave macaroni cheese. DH is probably getting a pizza on his way home from work.

lardylumps · 06/06/2008 18:47

I had quiche and salad (it wasnt as nice as my mums I have to admit )... Fish and chips makes everyone feel sick NJ but sometimes you just have to have it...

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 18:51

Must be a mum thing LL. Things I make are never as nice as my mums

NatalieJaneIsPregnant · 06/06/2008 19:02

Right I am off, pooter is on a go slow, and DH is finally home

Have a good weekend everyone if I don't get on, see you later xxx

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 19:04

Night Nat,

I wont be around tomorrow as we are off down south to visit my grandparents. So DS will be spoilt!!

tinkis30 · 06/06/2008 19:06

sorry kat that must have been horrible for you all

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 19:11

It was horrible for my parents. It was made worse by their grave as they are buried together being vandalised. One xmas day we went there to find nearly all the childrens section of the graveyard had been vandalised. We could only afford a wooden cross as could a lot of people and they had all been taken out and some burnt and some broken up. There were loads of families there that had gone to visit and none of us could believe it.

lardylumps · 06/06/2008 19:13

Night NJ...

Tink is that preggers brain????????? Who is kat....
