X posted with all of this mornings!

Diege, I was the same, I love watching them all go in (and strangely love watching them all come out?!!!) I was dozing by about 9.30, DH kept saying 'Go to bed', I'd say 'No I am blardy watching it' LOL

Grrrrrrr at firework Kay

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 07:09

The last person in was quite funny!

NatalieJaneIsPregnant · 06/06/2008 07:10

LOL Kay, Have you seen Cat in the Hat? She looked like the babysitter in that And I was absolutely pissing myself when Davina couldn't stop laughing at her trying to get up the steps with those shoes on!! LOL

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 07:12

Yeah, I have.

It looks like it will be really good this year.

NatalieJaneIsPregnant · 06/06/2008 07:14

Here she is

That girl that kept screaming and knocking herself out with-- her own boobs jumping up and down needs to go already!

NatalieJaneIsPregnant · 06/06/2008 07:15

I knew one of them would go wrong.....

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 07:30

I've got an awful headache. I always get one if I have really bad sleep. Its so crap!!

Diege · 06/06/2008 07:40

ooh sounds like I missed a good one in the BB house! I presume it's on tonight? Poor dh, he can't stand the thing but will usually back down.
Kayz, your night sounds horrendous - what idiots . I'm sure someone will know who it was, and hopefully police will have a word!

tinkis30 · 06/06/2008 08:39

morning

moos sounds good i had implantation 9-11dpo
kay definetly apple luv that colour
how do you work out if you are elegible for maternity grant. we get child tax credt. says on website it has to be at a rate higher than family element? what does that mean?
glaskham car ad is good
nat i had a similair microlite for dd1 and didny like it found it hard to steer.

NatalieJaneIsPregnant · 06/06/2008 08:46

Morning Tink I had the Micralite Fastfold for DS2, and loved it, the only thing I didn't like was that the seat part didn't recline properly, but the Toro does

I think (from memory, reading on here!) you have to earn less than £17000 joint income for the sure start grant, that might be wrong though because of my lack of memory, or even out dated now. Your midwife should be able to tell you about all/any benefits you can get.

calsworld · 06/06/2008 09:06

hello all, just having a naughty sneak peek - have a meeting in 25 mins so should be preparing really.

NJ - doesn't matter if the car does fall apart as its a company car so they have to fix it for me! It was the only one available to me that is big enough for when we go travelling to my or DH's parents. My nieces love sitting in the back row when they come to visit, DS sits in the middle row with my sister and me and DH up front - a regular mini bus. You can get three car seats in a row but its a bit tricky with the seat belt plugs, have to put them all in the right order and NEVER unplug them once they're in .

DS arm is a little better this morning and we've sent him off to nursery, poor little thing, he's crackered! He didn't get to sleep until gone 8.30.

Anyway, I really best scoot, catch you later!

Oooh ps - NJ - yes, the nose thing does sound very familiar!! I even had a dream that I realised that it meant I was pregnant so tested and found I was having twins. Hope the second bit doesn't come true ! Then woke up for real and couldn't work out what was going on for a bit!

kookykid · 06/06/2008 09:13

Morning!

Cals - my DD had the smam reaction with her jab too - much worse than the MMR, think it's because it's a booster so they have a reaction as it's already in their system. She didn't ssem bothered by it and it went after a couple of days.

Kayz - I would've been exactly the same if someone had let off a firework near my house in the middle of the night too! What a twat inconsiderate person!

So I caved and poas this morning. It was beacuse I had an incredibly vivid dream about getting a BFP, so thought it might be a sign (fool!). Anyway, unsurprisingly got a BFN. Hoping it was just too early.

All this talk of buggies and cars is making me jealous! We got the cheapest travel system in existence and then the Maclaren XT. Boring! The car I'd like to have is the Toyota Corolla Verso

pregnantpopcornprincess · 06/06/2008 09:17

Hi all, Hope all is well. Work sucks but I've managed to jump on. I really, really need some advice please.

I'm set to do a 13 mile charity walk at midnight on the 21st. I've some how got it in to my head that I'm stupid to do it now that I'm pregnant. I've been doing a bit of training but not an awful lot. Do you think I will be ok to do it?

My sister is having DD the whole weekend so I can sleep before and after it. I don't want to pull out as I feel i would be letting my spoonsors down as they have donated online direct to the charity and there is no way that I can get the money back. Oh, what should I do?

tinkis30 · 06/06/2008 09:18

hi all

how many weeks r people

i am 8 tom
feeling abit better now as have read on net that risks drop to 1 in 16 from 8 weeks

NatalieJaneIsPregnant · 06/06/2008 10:16

Ooooh Cal is that permission to strap them all in the car and NEVER let them out? I'll be nice and throw them scraps of food every now and then?!!!

Sorry for BFN Kooky Dude Agree it is just too early, bloody dreams hey?!!

Pop, TBH I'd have trouble just staying awake till midnight let alone then doing a 13 mile walk! But I'd say if you feel up to it, then do it, but if you feel like you've had enough at any point then stop there, it isn't worth the risk of exhausting yourself for the sake of people's money, and I am sure they would all understand 100% anyway. Or, if you think you you won't be up for it, how about changing the sponsered task? 13 hours sleep sounds good to me!!

Tink I keep losing count, one minute I am ahead, the next I am behind, and it doesn't help that for some reason I keep thinking it is Fridays that mark the start of a new week, when infact it is Saturdays.... I think I am 9 weeks tomorrow.

Playingthewaitinggame · 06/06/2008 10:41

Hi everyone,

back from the trade show so just checking in.

Haven't read the thread yet as there have been pages of the stuck since tues!

Off to read it all now.

glaskham · 06/06/2008 10:42

have spent half an hour just catching up!!

I like the look of micralites... but i haven't known anyone who's ever had one. DH decided last night he really wants the stokke pram... i dont think we can afford the £1000 for it really.... unless we take a mortgage break or move house before the baby is born i dont think its gonna happen!! He can dream though!!

Sorry for the BFN Kooky, but hopefully it was just too early... I very much doubt i am pg this month... was a bit much to ask to get caught first month of trying!!

I had a walk out early this morning, ok i say early but it was about 8.15 and all my local shops were open... never been before 9am before but i went to the butchers and got some lovely gammon steaks, some chips and plan to do gammon, egg, chips and peas for tea.... DH will be over the moon!! didn't tell him what i got so i'll just tell him we're havign somethign bog standard and surprise him with his fave meal!! Thing is, i'm looking forward to my tea loads now!!

I also have my parent & toddler keep fit class today which will be fun, pop into the surestart cafe with DD for half an hour or so after dropping DS off at nursery then go there and it finishes in good time for me to walk back to nursery for collection!!

And the guy we bought the new car off is coming to drop it off for us this evening!! I wish i could drive as i'd take it for a spin!!

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 11:08

Tink I'm not sure if you will be entitled to the grant. I'm not sure what the higher rate of child tax credit is. We get it because DH gets Disablity working tax credit.

DH took DS out to the bank and the shops so I got a bit rest. Still could do with 99999999 hours of sleep.

glaskham · 06/06/2008 11:11

when we applied for the grant afetr havign DS we were decilined because even thoguh we were under the earning bracket we weren't claiming council tax benefit (because we paid for everythgin ourselves and felt we didn't need it) so they said we weren't elegable for it!!.... how stupid is that???

i hear its a bit easier to get it now... but think DH is well over the earnign bracket now anyway!!

glaskham · 06/06/2008 11:19

I've found a real bargain!!! a mamas and papas pram combination thingy like i want... in a slightly different fabric than i initially wanted, but its only £50 and fairly local to collect.... will i be tempting fate if i got it and wrapped it all up to put in the attic till we have a 3rd??

I really want it!!! and it only means i need to buy a car seat so i'm saving well over £400 on buying it new.... that will cover all the other things like a cot and clothes etc.... Help me with this big dilema ladies!!!

Starshinetiger · 06/06/2008 11:40

Morning all. Kayz - sorry about firework, that is v. inconsiderate.
Glaskham - I'm really superstitious, so I'd think long and hard about pre-emptive pram buying, but it is probably the logical thing to do when it's such good value.
Cals - sorry DS has had such a bad reaction, fingers crossed it's gone down by tonight.
I have man-flu - well I have a cold and am feeling sorry for myself . Probably didn't help that I had two glasses of wine last night to celebrate my bday and then randomly stayed up with DH when he got in from work, watching Alan Carr and Justin Lee-Collins with a bunch of BB losers previous inmates. AC and JLJ are very funny though.
Right, waffling and should be working. Have a good day all.

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 11:42

Glaskham, I am like Star, a bit superstitious and will only by stuff after 12 weeks(but its very hard to wait that long) But if you can go and have a look at it to make sure its not in a bad condition.

kayzisexpecting · 06/06/2008 11:49

DH has just mentioned when we have DC3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahahaha Subconciencly(sp) he has agreed to DC3 before we have DC2!!!

glaskham · 06/06/2008 11:50

I'm normally superstitious... but we're thinking of using it as a pushchair for dd till she's fully walking anyway... so its only the carrycot bit that will be going away.... so i suppose it'll be like just keeping stuff ready for when we have another!!

DH liked it and said at such a bargain price i can have it!! here it is

glaskham · 06/06/2008 11:50

wuhoo!!! well done Kayz,....you can hold him to it now!!
