Anyone using easy at home pregnancy tests this month? I’m tempted to buy a box from Amazon. Not sure I’ll be able to wait until day af due/late. Not used the tests before or if anyone has a recommendation for cheaper tests before digital etc

I am, apparently they're pretty sensitive. A cup is definitely easier than peeing on a stick for me lol

bellaflower · 26/08/2025 18:28

Thank you @Ec2808feel Iike we will need to try again next cycle. Does anyone else use Apple Watch to track temp?

I found this interesting post on Reddit regarding symptom spotting and why it’s a waste of time. There’s such an overlap with usual PMS Symptoms and early pregnancy signs the only reliable symptom is a MISSED period. Read below:

The first time we tried for 2 years (6 months NTNP and 17 cycles of tracking and trying very hard). I had a few losses too. We were lucky we didn’t need any intervention.
Every single month I felt everything, I analysed everything and I convinced myself I was pregnant.
Anyway, right now I’m not trying. I’m lurking on this sub because we plan to start trying in the next month or so. I am 6dpo (I know my cycle very well 🤣), I haven’t had unprotected sex and I absolutely cannot be pregnant. As a little experiment I am seeing if I feel “symptoms” and I absolutely do. I feel ‘pulling’, I feel ‘cramping’. I feel nauseous. I feel all sorts of things. It’s mostly progesterone with a little bit of mind games.
I’m hoping this will help my future self as I am nervous about trying again and really don’t want to symptom spot like I did last time as it really affected me.
I also wanted to add that I occasionally read posts from problem who “knew” they were pregnant from 2dpo or from conception. You cannot know this. Those people were probably lucky, symptom spotted, felt all the things I described above and happened to get pregnant on an early cycle. You cannot know you’re pregnant that early because you’re NOT pregnant that early. Implantation happens normally at 8-12dpo.

Hope this helps any serial symptom spotters in their TWW. Just CHILL, it’s just progesterone, it happens every month 🤣🤣

Welcome @bellaflower

@fullofhope2024 iv got easy at home ones and using chat gpt to monitor them 😂 i find them hard to read, but the digital are pricey and I think I often have a failed surge and you can't keep testing with the CB ones after the first static smiley.

@Ec2808 very interesting re ovulation but it does make me want to burn all my opks, bbt thermometer and fertility aps to the ground 😂😂😂 what's the point 😅

bellaflower · 26/08/2025 20:31

Love the use of ChatGPT. Every morning I share my temp chart with it to give me an explanation 😂 it’s probably sick of me by now

Ec2808 · 26/08/2025 20:48

@bellaflowerhave you been ttc for long? I ise apple watch when it works I’m really happy bit sometimes it just doesn’t measure 🤣🤣

bellaflower · 26/08/2025 20:53

@Ec2808not long this time. We got pregnant with our daughter in 2023 really easily with zero tracking involved - first time basically so stupidly imagined it would happen again. Currently on cycle 2 so still feeling positive at moment. But can totally appreciate how stressing it can be.

bellaflower · 26/08/2025 21:14

How about you @Ec2808?

Ec2808 · 26/08/2025 21:49

Same fell pregnant right away in 2023 with our daughter had a chemical when we started ttc in march and now cycle 7 with no luck 😕

bellaflower · 26/08/2025 22:05

Sorry to hear that @Ec2808- must be so incredibly difficult. I hope it’s not much longer for you x

Ec2808 · 26/08/2025 22:08

@bellafloweri think the loss just made it even harder and made me want it even more but this is the first month i’m not stressing about it soo much what will be will be 😘❤️

Now I'm trying hard not to symptom spot, but it's difficult 🤣 I swear I never have these vivid dreams, especially a third fourth night in a row, and it's paired with sleeplessness which I also don't have, especially with my 16 month daughter, I'm dead tired by the time I go to sleep 🤣although it might just be me being sick this week as well

Ec2808 · 27/08/2025 07:00

@Anya23 ooooh interesting I had that in March when I fell pregnant was first symptom before positive test fingers crossed xx

Kittybway · 27/08/2025 07:01

@bellaflower stop 😂 every morning in my tww last month I posted a screenshot of my chart and asked chatbgpt if I was pregannt 😂😂

@Ec2808 I feel like the only accurate way is by ewcm and I dont think I ever get any/can't identify it from creamy cm!

I dont feel like im stressed about ttc but definitely worried i might not be able to despite conciecing my DD and the MMC within about 4 months. Im technically on month 5 now but 1 of those months I was away for the fertile window and haven't really tracked with opks yet either.

Ec2808 · 27/08/2025 07:03

@Kittybway have you ever thought of using preseed or something? I've read ton of women using it because of lack of ewcm and fall pregnant pretty quickly with that? x

Ooh, feeling hopeful 🤞would also be freaked out if it happened first try 🤣

Kittybway · 27/08/2025 07:20

@Anya23 everything crossed for you!

@Ec2808 I started using conception lube in May, but as lube, I heard you can put it in you as well? I do get cm but just it always seems the same type, from just before ovulation and then carries on until AF arrives, I can't seem to distinguish the 2 different types.

Ec2808 · 27/08/2025 07:32

@Anya23 fingers crossed xx
@Kittybway is it a fertility friendly one? I know you have to pay attention to that...do you drink lots of water? I've heard the cough syrup method can also increase cm..it loosens all the mucus in your body 😂, I can distinguish very well from the creamy, then ewcm, then watery then it dries up again...

I forgot to wear my watch last night didn’t I. 🙈

rainbowsnack · 27/08/2025 11:11

Another BFN. Still no AF but I think I'm probably out this month. I think my body is just playing silly buggers with me.

I'm so sorry! Hopefully you'll get AF soon then, so you can start a new cycle!
