Famous last words. It’s pink when I wipe today. So I took tests. The only one with any progression is the FR. The Wondfo and Clearblue are lighter. This will be my third chemical in four months and I’m just numb. What is the point.

EmPeEf · 26/08/2025 14:17

If I’d just done a FR today I’d have been happy as I think there’s progression from Sunday. But the others are barely there.

I’m supposed to be 14dpo.

Ah @EmPeEf I really feel for you. I was pregnant in 2022/23 and I didn’t know any of this stuff about lines, I tested when my period was late and so far as I knew that was it, I was pregnant. Infact I still have the second test. Hoping that I can do the same this time (assuming I get pregnant), but I really feel for you with the rollercoaster of excitement to upset must be heartbreaking

Muddysocks1 · 26/08/2025 15:31

Ahh I’m sorry @EmPeEf it’s so difficult

Muddysocks1 · 26/08/2025 15:32

EmPeEf · 26/08/2025 13:52

@Iris2024 you got your first faint line on the 24th is that right? If so, it’s only been 48 hours for progression, so don’t give up hope.

Something clicked in me last night, and I realised that all the early detection tests mean that we know much sooner than we should, and count on line progression to reassure us. But the tests have been designed that way purely to make us buy more and so money for the people selling them, not for our benefit at all. So I’ve decided I’m refusing to play their game and I’m just going to try and remember that I’m pregnant now until I bleed.

Just saw your clearblues. They look great 👍🏻

Edited

Such a good point re tests.

also I read some stuff online later about early tests - I’m 7dpo and got tempted and tested even though is so early. Saw something that reinforces why testing early isn’t a great idea and also that it’s normal to not get a positive until later etc.

Muddysocks1 · 26/08/2025 15:34

Considering most tests we use are 10 miu/ml, or 25.. lots won’t get to 10 miu/ml until 12DPO or later.

Oooh me too @Muddysocks1. Hoping I can hold off until my period is due to test but it’s very tempting!

EmPeEf · 26/08/2025 15:51

Not pregnant on a with weeks digital. Waiting for the doctor to call back.

FarAwayBird · 26/08/2025 16:15

I’m sorry @EmPeEf 😔 are you 100% sure you’re 14dpo?

EmPeEf · 26/08/2025 16:25

FarAwayBird · 26/08/2025 16:15

I’m sorry @EmPeEf 😔 are you 100% sure you’re 14dpo?

I had my peak test on the 11th and then three consecutive BTT rises on the 13, 14th and 15th so I’m pretty sure.

The doctor has referred me to the recurrent misscarriage unit. Now I’m just scared they’ll say they don’t count cos they’re all before 5 weeks.

ForGiddyDreamer · 26/08/2025 16:25

@EmPeEf I am so sorry to read this. Thinking positively, having a small amount of pink is fairly normal around the time your period is due if you have had a faint positive. But I completely get that it's worrying and triggering too. I hope the GP gives you some clarity or at least books you in for a blood draw. I spotted around the time my period was due and my GP put me on progesterone and aspirin. Thinking about you xx

Iris2024 · 26/08/2025 16:26

I’m so so sorry @EmPeEf 😩 Please let us know what the doctor says?

Fingers crossed they won’t - they shouldn’t surely! So sorry this is happening, it’s really really shit 😞

Thanks all.

Hey guys! I’m a little behind on this thread as i’ve tried to not think about ttc but I hope everyone’s okay! I’m cd 20 now an unsure if i’ve ovulated? I’ve not got any symptoms but i’ve also not been tracking so I’m really hoping I don’t have a long cycle this month😣I’ve done quite well with not thinking about ttc but now i’m just wanting to know if i’m out or not😬 I hate this last week (or two) before af it’s so draining

ChaE05 · 26/08/2025 19:14

@YKM2829good to know I'm not the only one with painful ovulation!
I also had 2 internals with my miscarriage. Plus recently another pelvic ultrasound. So that's 3 in the space of 6 months and all came back okay and no signs of anything. I know pain can be normal. But what is considered normal and what is considered not! Xx

What I know is if you have to take heavy dose codeine I. E I take 30mgcodeine 500mg paracetamol regularly daily and it only just takes the edge off. Then that is considered not normal. But it depends who you speak to. I had a convo with a gp she said she also takes the same I said well that isn't normal either. She turned round and said yeah but there's nothing the NHS will do about it. 🤷🏽‍♀️
I've heard anicdotally other people across the UK have better conversations with their gp but that's a dime a dozen I reckon x

ChaE05 · 26/08/2025 19:20

@EmPeEfI'm so so sorry 😌 I just know how sad and worried you will be feeling. When is your period due?
These 'chemical' miscarriages (hate that term) are unfortunately so so common. Like they say....most won't even know they have happened ! Unless they test. I know it doesn't make it any easier but I guess what I am trying to say is, it doesn't mean necessarily there is anything wrong with you. These happen more than we know. I don't think the doctor will have referred you if he didn't think there was anything they could do. Sending you love x

SureLook · 26/08/2025 20:48

@Iris2024 aww, I'm sorry. The stress and upset of it all is horrible. As Far Away said you could be more hydrated. And sometimes those cheap tests just don't go that dark. I'd go by the FRERs more than the cheapies. But your 12dpo is definitely darker than your 10dpo so there is progression.
And look at those Clear Blues, definite progression there.

@Mash0917 that's great to hear 👏🏻

@FarAwayBird delighted to hear that ❤️

@YKM2829 nice to see you back! It really is all consuming. You were right to step back for a bit.

@EmPeEf aww, I'm so so sorry. I really am ❤️

@amey44 welcome back!

@ChaE05 due around now. The apps thought earlier because I registered CD1 as the first day of bleeding from last month’s loss, but I OV two days later than normal. But I’m 14dpo today.

SleepySkyRat · 27/08/2025 04:52

Sadly my faint lines turned into fainter lines, spotting and now full AF. Looks like a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage. Trying to be positive about it all, but had this sinking feeling when I saw how the line wasn’t progressing and should have been darker for 14dpo. Hope everyone is doing ok, going to take some time to process then will be back for September’s TWW.

hi all, long time lurker & ttc since December last year after MMC.

in a bit of a pickle. CD34 today. Did a clear blue digital ultra early test with FMU this morning said not pregnant. Did test Saturday morning no lines. So confused normally have a 28-29 cycle each month pushing it CD30.

seeing as I did a test that shows up to 6 days before period and it was negative then am I just skipping a period ?
