have just seen midwife

she is going by lmp which would make me 9 and a half weeks pregnant. scan date coming through in a few weeks

Squack · 28/05/2008 11:32

Sorry I haven't been about.

Kids were at my parents last night so Dh and I went out for a meal

Had
more
and a bit more

Feckin shattered, but the best nights sleep in about 2 years.

Moos I'm confused. cp still high and firm, but bloody tons of ewcm again. Could it be from last night?

Or have I not O'd? It's the stretch to 10cm kind....very odd!

Other random symptoms include being rather windy at both ends ....and no I haven't had pop or beans.

I don't have the energy to trek through the thread so if there's anything I need to respond to (lazy bitch i am) can someone honk me please

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/05/2008 11:35

Glad you had a good day Diege

Kay pampering stuff sounds great, and never mind that DH is planning to get you some, you can never have enough in my book

Tink, glad MW went well, just be prepared to go back to your original due date (or there abouts) when you have your scan, I always think it is better to be a couple of weeks behind than in front, other wise it seems like a backward step IYKWIM?

Am buying clothes, it is so hard trying to find trousers/jeans/skirts that go over your bump now, also looking at getting a doppler (DH says thanks for bankrupting him BTW Teuch! ) I want one with a display of the heart rate, but cannot jusitfy spending £60+ on it, when I know it won't be long till I can feel movements properly, so won't be needing it. Arghhhhh decisions decisions....

Also prefered Flava or whatever they were called as well, those two kids got on my nerves a bit!

of your night Squack, can't remember the last time DH and I had even 5 minutes to ourselves let alone a whole night! (In fact I do remember the whole night, was the day before DS1 was born!)

Hello ladies CD9 today.... Let the gof begin.... he he he he he he.......

Squack can you just go back to last night there are a few questions about which sticks can go in the clearblue reader. Thanks

Hi to everyone else DD is crying so will be back soon...

Squack · 28/05/2008 11:45

will do LL, have you got a smiley face on the opk yet? or are you testing at 3pm today?

lardylumps · 28/05/2008 11:47

I am testing at 6 tonight as that is when i did it yesturday... Wanted to do it earlier but didn't read instructions correctly and had to wait another four hours.

kayzisexpecting · 28/05/2008 11:48

Poor DS had his jabs this morning. He cried a bit but as soon as we let him wander round the HV's room he was fine. He has now gone to sleep. He looks gorgeous when he is asleep.

I have one of these
I never ever found DS's heartbeat with it, not even when I was 349 weeks.

lardylumps · 28/05/2008 11:49

349 weeks kay my word you were pg a long time

Playingthewaitinggame · 28/05/2008 11:50

Hi Ladies,

Have finally read the thread, not sure I can remember much of it though.

Happy belated birthday Diege.

Pop - Congrats on your pg.

Cal, sorry your sick again.

Kay - sorry about all yor headaches.

BB - whats this plan then or is it a secret?

Hi everyone else, sorry if I missed anything else important I simply seem to have read the thread and promptly forgotten most of it!

kayzisexpecting · 28/05/2008 11:50

349 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I meant 39 weeks!! I even previewed the bloody message!!

Thats like 6+ years of being pregnant.

Squack · 28/05/2008 12:14

Right have read from last night.

LL I would test at 3pm because the highest levels of LH build between 11-3 apparently.

The persona sticks have worked this month for me, though someone on another american thread was complaining about the fact she'd tried to save money from someone else's suggestion of using the cb fertility monitor sticks and never got the smiley face for 2 months!

Hope it wasn't me. Much more likely in fact that she didn't O at all imho.

For £15.50 all in I would go for the ebay ones tbh, just in case (maybe for the first month to check you are catching a surge).

The persona sticks (ex monitor) are £9.99 in Boots but blushingbuyer do them cheaper here, but they seem to be out of stock at the moment.

Prepg with the real egg whites but you gotta do whatch gotta do. here is a list of UK preseed stockists for you don't know if any of them are close enough to you.

LL so pleased you got some reassurance from the doc's about your LO.

Kay the headaches could be from all the hormones racing round your body, good sign the bean/s are ok.

NJ it was fan-fucking-tastic .
We were sat in the restaurant feeling all nervous and sick with anticipation. It was like being 17 again.

(just to make sure it's not another surge Moos I've poas (OPK) and it's -ve so it must be due to last night)

I'm gong back to check to see if I've missed anyone else...hang on

lardylumps · 28/05/2008 12:17

thanks squack I will test at 3 today then...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/05/2008 12:29

Kay, have seen the Summer pre-natal ones before, it seems they don't use ultra sound to pick the heart beat up, they just amplify every sound in your belly, so a lot of people don't pick up the heart beat till much later on, or like in your case, not at all.

I wan't something like this, but really cannot justify paying that much. Hey, any of you who are just about clinging onto the wagon wanna go halves?

Squack, I remember the first (and nearly the last) time we have been out without the kids, we both sat there, not knowing what to say, not knowing where to look, we'd made a pact not to talk about DS1, but we broke it after about 3 minutes!! LOL Felt like a first date gone badly wrong! LOL

Squack · 28/05/2008 12:29

Ooh Tink I agree with Nat. I don't think it's a good idea to ever go by the LMP because not everyone O's on cd14 which is what it presumes. I've told my m/w's twice that my dates need to be a week later than they have down, but they never listen.
All my babies have been a week late btw , wonder whose right?
Good luck for the scan, it's always nice to get to the seeing m/w stage isn't it?

Sorry you're not well Cals. Happy GOF'ing!
pmsl there, that should be a greeting card, surely!

hello to playing, I'm having the same probs with remembering the thread.

Hello happy & esme .

Hopefully that's everyone, if not.

Squack · 28/05/2008 12:30

Welcome kookykid and hello to starshinetiger

kookykid · 28/05/2008 12:31

Just back from playgroup and feeling . A truly horrid boy deliberately pushed my little DD off the slide. She was even giving him a massive smile when he did it. Grrrr! The mother was good and made him apologise, but isn't it amazing how your protective instincts kick in?
So, squack aka wise one, should I not be doing my OPK testing first thing in the morning? Smiley face this morning, so any GOFing in the next 48 hours is a good idea right?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/05/2008 12:32

Forgot to tell you all how bloody stupid I am, did toast for lunch, (DS1's choice ) did the two boys, waiting for mine to pop up out the toaster, seemed to take ages, so I wandered over to the toaster, it popped up, only with no toast in it And so I put bread in, waited again for it to pop up, it popped, I went to butter it, and had only spent the time I waited clearing up and putting butter/marmite away LOL

Dumb arse? Me? Always Never.....

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/05/2008 12:35

Awww Kooky was she OK? At least the mum stepped in, it is when the mums ignore/don't even see it in the first place that it riles me.

OP posts:
kookykid · 28/05/2008 12:35

lol NJ!
I spent about twenty minutes looking for my mobile this morning, only to find it IN MY HAND!!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/05/2008 12:37

LOL god I remember our mum, years ago now when I was still living there, so she didn't even have old age as an excuse..... she lost her glasses, we all turned the house upside down looking for them, all day we spent bloody looking, then someone spotted they were on her head.....

OP posts:
kookykid · 28/05/2008 12:38

She was fine, thanks NJ, just a bit surprised to find herself on the floor with a bump on her head. In RL I'm a teacher so it took all my control not to say something to him myself. The mother didn't really have a choice as we both had seen the whole thing. nasty little brat

kookykid · 28/05/2008 12:39

Sorry, being a bit PFB!

lardylumps · 28/05/2008 12:39

pg brain NJ. Dd had me up again at the crack of dawn with her cough... now she is on hunger strike and will not eat anything... Little ratbag...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/05/2008 12:41

LOL It is only natural

Right, got a cinema afternoon planned, we've got pop corn, we've got chocolate, we've got ice cream, and we've got The Bee Movie hoorah!!!!

Will see you all later xxx
