Just starting TTC

Hello we’ve just started TTC baby number 2 and I wondered if there was anyone else in a similar situation who fancied supporting each other? Everyone very welcome, baby number 1 or 100! I just remember how nice it was to have people to share crazy symptom spotting and commiserate unsuccessful cycles with last time. I’ve joined a few other threads and whilst they seem really friendly and supportive it feels a bit like I’m crashing a party where everyone else already knows each other so thought I’d try starting my own thread in the hope of finding someone else who felt the same.

@RadishTea I can definitely see something there!

I’m 10dpo. Had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday so thought I was out but maybe it was implantation bleeding? I didn’t have that with my first pregnancy so wasn’t expecting it this time but I guess it can vary. The line was so faint I won’t totally believe it until I get something clearer but fingers crossed!

@RadishTea do you have any other tests? I’ve seen a lot of people not get past faint lines on those ones! X

Yes I have some more tests so will try again tomorrow. Had a little more bleeding this morning. Only a small amount but I’m very unsure that this is a real positive. Or it could be a very early chemical. Will have to just see what happens over the next few days…

We're just starting our TTC journey. His first, my second. Never actively TTC before so a bit nervous and excited about the journey. I'm 35+ now so not sure how long it will take to conceive (which is why I'm nervous XD)

Welcome @rainbowsnack I’m also 35, it all feels a bit more uncertain as you get a bit older but hope you have a straightforward journey!

Hi @rainbowsnack welcome! I’m 34 and definitely feeling anxious about how long it might take to conceive this time. It took us over a year last time when I was 30/31.

Well the line is still faint but it’s definitely there and the spotting has stopped. I guess it is true! Hoping that it sticks now

Thanks for the welcome, I've just turned 37... Had my firstborn at 20 so definitely feeling too old now 😂but I've wanted another child for years, just wish I'd met my DP sooner! lol

I’m now back from holiday so thought I’d jump back on to a thousand messages lol. Happy to see a few BFPs & sorry to those that haven’t had any luck yet.

I’m currently waiting for AF to start after finishing provera to delay my period.. I’ve tested just to be sure and it’s BFN. Last year when I delayed AF it started the day after I stopped my last tablet, so a little frustrated!

Hello all, best of luck to everyone! I’ve recently started TTC child number 3. I’m 39 with one ovary so statistically probably not the best 😂 but I’m not desperate so will accept it if it doesn’t happen. I’m lucky to have 2. We’ve not officially set a date to stop but I have December in my mind. I had my last child when I just turned 38 on cycle 4 so fingers crossed things haven’t changed that much.

I finally made it back to ovulation! Last month we were NTNP and only DTD once around ovulation, which I now know was probably completely out anyway - Flo is NOT accurate at all and thank god I did decide to get the OPKs and not reply on it.

After thinking I would be super chill about the whole thing I went all in with OPKs and tracking 😂 so I’m counting this as official cycle 1. I peaked yesterday, which was CD 15, we had sex CD 10, 13 and 15 so I’m hoping that was enough as we’re out tonight and I’m guessing tomorrow will be too late?

How is everyone doing with this weather? I’ve been feeling awful, sick, dizzy etc. if I didn’t know better (which I do!) I would assume I am pregnant 🙄

I’m not a big fan of the heat. Makes me hope it will happen soon so I’m not pregnant during the height of summer 😂. I have a son who was born end of June and it was uncomfortable.

Hi all hope it’s ok if I join? I’m TTC baby #1. Been on the pill for over a decade but finished my withdrawal bleed 2 weeks ago so counting this as cycle 1. Don’t think I’ve ovulated yet so think this will be abnormally long but hoping my hormones will regulate soon so I can work out my cycle. I’m already overthinking things - limiting myself not to test until after when flo tells me I should test!

Hello @SleepySkyRat I remember my cycles being really variable for a few cycles after I came off of the pill but I’ve also got friends who got pregnant straight away. Fingers crossed that your cycles regulate quickly. I’m with you on the overthinking! I’m trying so hard not to let TTC take over my life again, and to be honest there is less time for obsessing with a toddler, but I still find myself agonising over everything.

Pretty sure I'm ovulating (and according to Flo I am) really crampy on my left side, so I'm assuming that's the side I'm ovulating on this month lol, apparently the beginning of August will be the best time to take a test....

2 DPO. Is it normal to just feel obsessed? It’s literally all I think about, read about, etc. And even though it’s only cycle 1, because I’ve wanted it for YEARS I just can’t imagine ever seeing a positive 😂

@therandomUNI was the same! I couldn't focus on anything else haha. I was always checking the forums and symptom spotting.

@rainbowsnackthat makes sense! I cramped for a few days after I ovulated. Are you checking your peak using ovulation tests?

@all- Where are you all in your cycles now, and any symptom updates?

It’s so all consuming!! I must have watched 100 pregnancy announcement vlogs this last month 😳😳
