Just starting TTC

Hello we’ve just started TTC baby number 2 and I wondered if there was anyone else in a similar situation who fancied supporting each other? Everyone very welcome, baby number 1 or 100! I just remember how nice it was to have people to share crazy symptom spotting and commiserate unsuccessful cycles with last time. I’ve joined a few other threads and whilst they seem really friendly and supportive it feels a bit like I’m crashing a party where everyone else already knows each other so thought I’d try starting my own thread in the hope of finding someone else who felt the same.

I took 2, one was pretty obvious and the other I only saw a line if I held it against the window. I took another today at 8dpo and I had the worst line eyes! These appeared outside 3 minutes so I think they must be evaps 😫

@therandomUN I wouldn’t think it’s hugely likely to get so many evaps in a row so crossing my fingers for you. I hope you’re managing to enjoy your holiday and not think about tests too much.

How is everyone else feeling? I’m quite enjoying the calm of being in the early days of my cycle at the moment. No fertile days or symptoms to obsess about!

I’ve done a few more which have all been stark negative so I’m doing one more tomorrow with the FMU at 10dpo and then I’m mentally signing out until I get my period!! Next month is a new chance!

That early dilution can really affect the test - I tested positive then negative then positive again 😅 although my first positive was DPO9.

If you're DPO10, then implantation may not have happened yet. I am pretty sure I implanted day 9 as I felt cramps that were there all day.

Once I tested positive, it's exciting but now it is the slowest (and most worrying) thing ever. I'm just waiting for week 12 so I can feel safe(r). It makes time go so slow, I said to my DH 'feels like I've been pregnant forever' 😅 (7 days in). I'm thinking of getting a private scan week 6 to help soothe my mind, I hear if you have a heartbeat week 6, your chance of miscarriage reduce to 10%.

Now the symptoms have eased. It's like my body reacted to the hormones initially, but have now gotten used to them. Every now and again I get a twinge of nausea and I think this must be it, they're starting for real, but they ease again. Some say they hit at 6 weeks so still got time, but I'm crossing my fingers this means an easy pregnancy.

@PurpleSpottedLeopardi felt like that last month. Iwas so obsessed the month before and the minute my period came, I felt normal again like I could think about other things haha. I also swore not to obsess again, but ofc I did the very second I ovulated 🤣

I’m actually 11DPO today based on Flo but we only did it once during this cycle because it’s our first month trying and by the time we agreed to start I was already well into my ovulation phase! I’m going to get some OPKs for next month 🙏 Absolutely no symptoms at all now. I hope everything goes well for you @BeNavyLion! I’m sure it will.

@therandomUNahh it was the same for me in my first cycle; I used Flo.

Flo was off quite a bit for me (not the apps fault though, I usually have a shorter cycle but for some reason I had 2 long ones just before I started trying so it calculated it all wrong). When I did opk this cycle turns out that I ovulated just a few days after AF 😅 (CD9) I was so close to not checking as well but thought it wouldn't do any harm, then BAM 5 days early I got a positive ovulation test.

I also downloaded another app, called premom I think, and used that to track opk

I’m definitely getting some sticks for next cycle to make sure I’m being accurate! I actually downloaded Premom last night!

Hello how is everyone feeling? I’m entering the TWW again so fully expecting to be obsessing over symptoms soon! Where abouts is everyone else in their cycles?

Every is going well so far. I've not had many symptoms, well a few, but on and off. Yesterday the nausea started to hit. Seems I'll be getting it at night which is good as it won't affect work haha.
Biggest symptom is since day 1 I've been really thirsty but seems that's normal from what some are saying.

I have an appointment Thursday morning so we will see what they say! Currently 14 weeks since last AF 😅 x

funnily enough I got my first period in 6 months the day of my Drs appt.

God knows when the next will be but hey ho it’s a start.

We have our papers to fill out and hopefully we will get our appt date asap to see what comes next.

@BeNavyLion I’m not surprised you’ve been thirsty - it’s been so hot! (assuming you are in the UK). Hopefully the nausea doesn’t get too bad.

I got some ovulation tests and don’t think I’ve ovulated yet but should be fairly soon I think. My toddler has been sick though so none of us have had much sleep and I haven’t been thinking about TTC much.

I know my ovulation date now as I used OPK tests this month so 4DPO now. Each day feels so slow…

I'm ttc #2 aswell. Currently CD19 1DPO.

@RadishTea the TWW definitely drags I find myself continually checking how many days I am and then being surprised that it hasn’t changed yet! Really pleased for you that your ovulation tests worked.

So I’ve been feeling really nauseous for the last few days and initially thought it was just the heat but have started to get hopeful now! I took a test yesterday and managed to get an invalid one again… honestly the luck I’ve had with tests this cycle and last one you’d think I’d never taken one before! I have more tests arriving tomorrow though so will have to wait until then.

I’ve been diagnosed with PCOS! I’ve been prescribed some tablets to force AF, partner has to go for sperm testing then we will be referred to fertility! So overwhelming but happy for progress! X

@Em3009 I’m really pleased for you that you have a diagnosis now and a plan for how to move forward. I hope everything moves quickly for you. It must be a lot to get your head around though so I hope that you’re ok.
