Does anyone else feel really really hopeful and convinced it’s gonna workout at the start of every cycle lol? I’m always so relaxed before ov then the second i’m in the tww I always feel like I should’ve done something “more”. I am gonna try the conception lube this cycle but also feel I should do something else aha

I only tested positive (faintly) and I stopped getting positives a day or two before I started bleeding x

Does anyone know how fertilisation happens?

Like if you’ve had loads of sex and there’s loads of sperm swimming around your tubes, if a crap sperm gets to the egg first (before a good sperm), could that cause fertilisation…but then end unsuccessfully?

and is it more likely that the sperm from earlier will be the ones to fertilise the egg, as they’ve had longer to swim up the tubes?

My tests have arrived. I am home alone with my 3yo. I should NOT test esp considering time of day but I feel so tempted!! It is my bedtime tonight so won’t be ‘done’ for the day until around 8-8.30pm 🫣

husband is having SA done in a few weeks but I’m already looking up ways to improve motility/morphology…apparently icing can work? And him ejaculating every day!

It feels like sperm is “easier” to sort than female reproductive issues, maybe because they regenerate every few months…but that’s not a scientific opinion!

The egg sends out “stuff” to obliterate useless sperm on their way towards it, and even when decent sperm reaches it, it sends out more “stuff” to probe each sperm to see if it’s suitable or not. It makes all the decisions and chooses the best one from the lot. Then it allows it in.

I recently read all this in on a post where it was saying the description of fertilisation has been pretty sexist and “pro man” for many years, and all about the fastest and strongest sperm getting there and burrowing into the egg. But actually the egg has total control over the whole thing and makes a choice. And I’m assuming there are times it chooses none of them.

I’ve passed a small clot with the bleeding and had a cry. It’s not period amount of bleeding at the moment and I have no cramps. My pregnancy symptoms feel stronger if anything, but I think it’s highly likely things will be over soon. Sigh.

@EmPeEfim really sorry, be kind to yourself and im praying that you get no more bleeding but i know my words sound like false hope. Im glad youve had a good cry, its needed to be done, what a rollercoaster..please keep us updated x

@bigbird1234 I know heat down there should be avoided but not heard of icing! My DH had his 2nd SA results back today and they’re much better than the 1st (morphology/count/concentration were all under the reference limit. Motility was over the reference limit but the rapid A was quite low). We were so worried but I’ve had him on loads of supplements - some for 1 month, some for 1.5 months. Also cut down the monster energy drinks haha

I’m sorry @EmPeEf if it is 😔 with mine I was testing positive for 10 days but it was clear about half way through that it wasn’t progressing and then they started fading, but I think it really varies xx

Hello everyone. I’m new here. I have been silent follower.. TTC #2.. this will be my first cycle trying.. AF just arrived.. hopefully we’ll all get bfp by the end of June

DH is out and I’ve just put DS to bed. I got itchy test fingers. So this is 9dpo… clearly evening wee, can’t remember how long the hold…. is that a line?? 👀

I’ve never used these tests before. They’re the PreMom ones. 10miu. It was literally BLANK and as white as they come this morning?!?! Like, is that even possible for it to change that quick?!

After the chemical last month, I’m extremely hesitant to be excited. Time will tell. Got to be hopeful or what else is there?? 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Same!! Tested last night, stark white and this morning a faint line, so I guess it is 😍 How exciting!

I’ve had tummy discomfort since ovulation and haven’t wanted to read into it too much, almost like a hotness down there? But this evening I feel like cramps are coming & it’s making me think AF is on her way 😢 I’m not due for 5 days & don’t usually get cramps this early in my cycle since having my first. But with my first I didn’t have any cramping or discomfort at all! I’m on approx 10dpo today.

Will test tomorrow morning to rule myself out ☹️

That sounds really hopeful though! Pregnancy can def vary massively. Please don’t count yourself out until AF shows. Keep us updated on the test tomorrow. Praying 🙏🙏

Wow ok. That’s good to know then! I’m convinced it’s an indent, definitely not an evap as I took that pic within the 5 min time frame. Not wasting time (money) on a digi or any other test until AF is due. Also not telling DH about my itchy test fingers cos he will think I’m a loon 🤣
